Ran acceptably for a long time, now it crashes before it can even load. Time to consider if its worth paying for a publication I can't access.

Since Monday the app will not load, so even though I continue to be a subscriber, I can no longer read the paper....shame on you and your tech dept.

This app worked reasonably well until early February 2017 then started crashing. I uninstalled and reinstalled but doesn't help. Wish the developer would fix it.

Was working ok until Monday, now it will not load. Crashes before it loads I am a subscriber and can't read the paper. Whyz.

M70%
by M####:

Not easy to view multi-page articles and requires sign-in each time. Back to the iPad, I guess.

N70%
by N####:

The app used to be bad, but barely tolerable. It's OK on ipad, but the android version is simply awful. Not sure if it's the latest update that made it worse, but you can't get through a page without a crash. Since this is the ONLY way subscribers can read the paper on most days, I expect better from a paid subscription. Just awful!

This app crashes on ma Samsung Galaxy tab pro, running on Android 4.4 . I have to use my older tablet, running Android 4.2, to read the newspaper.

The supposed update is a step backwards. Both on android phone and Kindle it is unreadable and takes forever to load. For a supposed media company they fail in the digital world. Their partner Washington Post should show them how to create a useful app.

It's a decent app, considering it's a digital version of the print paper. You can view the pages as they would appear in print, or you can switch over to a "plain text" version that looks a little more like a website would. You'll find yourself switching back and forth as some elements (tables, charts, etc.) are completely butchered by the automated process that converts the original newspaper layout into plain text. I just have two gripes about annoying inconveniences that should be addressed: 1) I get a daily email reminder that the e-paper is available. But if I try to open it, the email opens my web browser and tries to view the paper on the website, rather than being smart enough to go directly into the app. Furthermore, the web page I see is more of a "splash screen" asking if I want to view the paper on the app, as an HTML 5 page, or as an e-book, but tapping on any of these options results in zero action. 2) When I manually open the app to view the paper, it ALWAYS requires me to enter my username and password. Every time. There's no "remember me" option. It's somewhat annoying to have to enter my credentials every time I open the app.

Every day is a "crap shoot" about the functioning of this app. It's unstable and there are sections of pages that are unreadable. Post Standard should ditch Tecnavia!

Sadly you must subscribe to this paper before this app will work. With so many news sources available is this really worth pursuing?
