Colombo - Multitasking Browser for Android
Tabs aren't sandboxed. When one tab freezes, all tabs are affected. Colors aren't always detected accurately and on successive page loads. Tabs aren't managed correctly either. Any link opens the most recent tab instead of a new tab, so you can't return to previous tabs. Needs a bookmark import feature and support for web standards such as Service Worker and Web Manifests. The add shortcut feature should detect icons in the web manifest or meta tags
I am on Nougat, and I have noticed that you still didn't handle Multi window, despite targeting API level 24/25. If you can make sure that your app isn't paused when its an unfocused app, like apps such as YouTube do, that'd be ideal!
Best designed browser on the app store. But reloads to previous pages CONSTANTLY and doesn't save credentials, also doesn't upload bookmarks from other browsers.
Awesome design.. simple!
Get it and supportdevs. This is super unique and smooth
great design, easy to use and fast.
Going forward or backward in a page should be different from going from the left or right… maybe it can use a double-swipe or something
When I access tabs though the name Colombo appears before the tab site name. Can this be removed?
Only thing missing is an option for tab based browser ui and also a better icon would be nice.
Very fast even in 2G network. Please don't abandon
does what it's supposed to do well
But no open in background option ?
Can you enable tabs to be managed internally?
Beautiful and nice. Yes, that was a generic review.
This is the smoothest browser I've ever used, by far. A lot of live and care was put into this, but there are issues that prevent me from using it. First of all, the swiping gestures. Great idea, meh execution. I can't go left or right on a page without going forward or back in my history. A simple fix would be to make the gestures only activate when you swipe on the edges of the screen. Second, many downloads don't work at all, meaning I have to have a backup browser. Fix those things, and its great.
I can go without the, uh... "18+ web suggestions" under the address bar, if you know what I'm saying. Someone else might get the wrong idea.
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Ooh, black and yellow! Let's shake it up a little. Barry! Breakfast is ready! Ooming! Hang on a second. Hello? - Barry? - Adam? - Oan you believe this is happening? - I can't. I'll pick you up. Looking sharp.
Only Pyrope compares to this and beats it by a negligible amount so miniscule I won't mention on a comment for Colombo browser who was head to head with a browser OPTIMIZED for snapdragon processors. So imagine if u don't us e that processor. Then the features...omg..the design...the non-reliance on Chrome upstream.
Needs better Nougat multiwindow support as playing videos freeze when using the secondary app. Auto complete and search suggestions would be great to
Really nice looking browser unlike some of the awful ones about. Only been using it a while but seems fluid & fast. My new browser from now on
Would like some additions though. Autocomplete is needed for search. Support for Samsung multi window would be great too!
Ever since I updated this app. I can't even open it. I cleared the data and everything but still doesnt work!
Crashing every boot up on lg g4
I can't find download section and can't have more than one tab
Everything is amazing but navigation gesture for history is not working
Nice UI, but can u keep option to aggregate all tabs in 1 place like chrome?
Lightspeed web browser ever!! Maybe adding bookmark shortcut to homescreen would be nice!
But where is an option to close the tab or switching to history on startup page?
Nice and fast app. Small in size.
This is one of the simplest and smoothest browsers I have ever used. However the pull down to refresh function is a little bit inconsistent. I always have to swipe multiple times to get it to work. Edit: Well instead of fixing the problem, the developer seems to completely remove the pull down to refresh function which is a little disappointing.
It works light and fast as promised. Faster than opera mini. I'm not sure about the security. Anyway Loved It. Stay Ad Free
Great browser but recently it stopped working would be using it with pleasure if it would work again.
Fast and responsive - Material Design at its finest! Bravissimo!
Great minimalist design. Slide to right not work and android 7.1
Force stops at open
Really fast browser..no issues so far :)
tabs merged with apps atm. I think that this and the seamless navbar and status coloring are major selling points, and as such it deserves more publicity. I would suggest to have android police or similar review the *new* version, since, I suppose, not many people know about Colombo and how awesome it is (aside from a few bugs, like reseting opened tabs when opening it via launcher shortcut)
Very pretty UI, only problems are 1) external links open in the same tab and not separate tabs or 2) external links open in the same instance as the external app and not as an instance of Colombo

Don't handle link targets correctly as ex if a link has target as "open in new window/tab" it opens in same window. And there is NO action menu for links attached to images/buttons...just a option saying "save image"?? DONT HANDLE TABS CORRECT either...closing one tab, closes all!!!!
