Backing Track Studio

Perfect for any act using backing tracks. Playlists are a doddle to set up. Tracks wont stop accidentally/unexpectedly if you touch the screen . Next song can be cued while current one is playing. Very like the iPad app 'Backtrax' , but better for my uses as it has a pause button and a wider range of font sizes from 'very small' to 'enormous'. Love It !

adding Lyrics is painful as it is one by one only( I have over 220 backing tracks and having to press SD card,then downloads, find the track,then add the lyric over and over? Is not good at all! Please fix asap so that adding lyrics goes to all of your tracks in the settings. also adding playlist 1234 to the top of the screen as a shortcut needs to be added in the next updates please! Thank you.

Nowhere close to backtrax. So difficult to add songs to a playlists using their "explore option". Even if you try to use the Explorer option there's no way to do a search for particular songs so it's pretty difficult finding the music to add to the playlist. I want a refund

Great app! Exactly what I was looking for for doing solo gigs with my Zendrum wearable drum set. A good addition for a future update would be to add a visual countdown feature for those tracks that come right in on the downbeat. All my tracks have the 'click-offs' removed. Thanks again, and keep it up!

Just what you need. Nothing less, nothing more. It's so easy to use for it's intended purpose. Auto pause and variable text sizing does it for me. Great, well done!

It's missing some much needed features, but still the best that I've found. Suggested feature additions: Crossfade, configurable per-song volume, configurable left/right channel volume (for split tracks), and please fix the bug where playback stops when I change from portrait to landscape orientation!

Used to work well for some time... But now I can't even load up songs anymore.... I don't know what is happening here... Shame

I really love this app. It's my "to-go" app any time for my family songs' backing tracks playback. A+++++

One of the simpliest but functional apps

The transport bar would be better at the TOP of the screen so you can't accidentally hit the 'home' icon on the tablet which is always bottom centre. Other than that, flippin' brilliant. Recently has started crashing at the end of tracks. Program closes with the message 'Backing tracks player has stopped working' Not what you need at a gig....

The only thing I'm struggling with is assigning lyrics to the tracks.... I've saved different versions of lyrics in word and notepad but when I go to get them in the app they are not there? It may just be me being thick... Any particular format or something I am missing?

I've been using Backtrax on my ipad for a long time now and wanted something pretty close to use on my android tablet. Once you get used to using backing track studio it's a doddle and has a couple of things that Backtrax doesn't have, like being able to increase the size of the fonts and buttons plus being able to pause the track mid way through. It would be better if the play list opened itself up when you selected it in manage instead of having to press play to open it but hey, I can live with that. The ability to be able to select another track to play while a song is playing would be useful. The play list does rearrange the song order into alphabetical order but you can get around that so not too much of a problem, if any. I wanted an android app that I could make play lists on that auto paused at the end of every song and this does the job really well. Would recommend this app.

This is a great app but sometimes a when I select a song it shuts the app off! Why! This is really bad when I am playing live. The only fix I know is to delete the song and reload it.

Great app. Using this on my Moto g. But, as someone else has mentioned here, when you switch from portrait to landscape mode(accidentally) the current track playing turns off. For sure Five Stars if you could fix this problem.

If you value your sanity,and profession, do not bother with this app. It constantly crashes after a few songs in and we have lost total confidence in this app alltogether. Lenovo s8-50 tab running lollipop is what it is installed on, but not anymore. (P.S) the developer hasn't bothered to address any of the serious issues with the app and the last time it was updated was in May 2015. music crashes if tablet is switched to landscape !!!

Great , works well ,would like to be able to move freely thru each track with fast forward end rewind,also to be able to adjust volume of individual tracks,as per the apple rival, this would balance out track volumes

Been using it for about 4 months now, getting ready to roll out my guitar/vocals- drums duo. Used it for one gig so far and worked great. One suggestion for rehearsing with it. Make it so I can move a cursor to start from any given point in the song rather than resuming from where you pause it or starting over. That would be quite handy for rehearsing certain parts. Maybe even a looping feature?

Great app. Well done. Would be a five star if you could make further selections while the current track is playing. Also text files don't seem to appear in a true type font. E.g. character spacing seem to be different than in the text file. Chords don't appear where they should over lyrics. Great work though. With a few small improvements I'd be happy to pay a little more for this App.

The best app I have tried, would be 5 stars if more than one track at a time could be selected and played ie multi play, plus it crashed on me and have spent hrs putting set play lists back. Other than that works great.

Great to use to play backing tracks at gigs or busking. Multiple playlists possible. The best player app that I've found on Android.

Good Work! (I tried Songer Pro, and it bogged with 700 songs, just trying to build a Setlist. Backing Tracks Pro loaded all of it !! No problem. The look is good. The Huge Font is great. Of course, Auto Pause, and footpedal possibility, supreme! There's one big concern, and tweek if I may? Scrolling works beautifully, but it's so easy to touch the screen wrong, and it Selects, and Stops the track playing! ( oops ) The Ideal scenario is, (as the) Track is Playing, (you can) Search-Scroll to the next Song, Select it, it's Paused and Waiting! (without interrupting the Track Playing!) Maybe you can build a set on the fly, if each song selected could Line-Up behind the other? Thank You for creating this app

Great App possibly the best I've ever used. But (and here comes the but) would be 5 Stars with the possible inclusion of a Volume Control on screen and not being able to open a set list without having to go back to play.However I will still be recommending this App to all my Muso friends, Cheers

The lyrics scroll feature is a great bonus. The update lost all my playlists and lyrics that I had painstakingly assembled! Set selection could be simpler! Why not just click on a set in 'manage' to load it instead of having to go back to 'play'?

Perfect App for Bands & Solo Artists. Finally a sound solution that replaces the humble Mini disc player. It does what it says on the tin. Tried the demo on my S3 phone running latest version of Cyanogenmod and was so impressed I immediately purchased the full version. Well done to the developer for creating such a simple and effective solution for Singers worldwide.
