FM Synthesizer [SynprezFM II] for Android
Finally a good arpeggiator. No crashes on moto g mk1. Low latency. Big sound. But can i get a slider for cutoff filter? Thanks for the reply. I never realised you did a real software synthesis of additive synthesis. So to get a filter you would need to use a post process add on? Anyway its great software and good fun. Cant wait to try it on a hardware midi controller.
Coll app but why does the volume automatically turn down? When I turn the volume all the way up and then hit a key it turns itself down ,,extremely annoying ! !
Perhaps the most authentic and complete FM synth for Android, at no cost and without ads. It would easily be five stars, only the latency over MIDI is bad enough to be unplayable, even on the pro audio Nexus 9 that achieves much better latencies with most other synths. Perhaps the developer could add some settings for tuning the audio path to enable the low latency mode of the device? Most notably, the audio system, sample rate and buffer size. Does this use OpenSL ES or AudioTrack, currently?
One of the best sounding synths for android. But please improve midi compatibility. I've tried it with Axiom and LPK, none is recognized. EDIT: Thanks for the reply! I got them to work.
I'm not an expert in music and I just downloaded this out of curiosity. So far it's been fun to play with! However the volume is too low sometimes. Please add higher volume option.
Wouldn't know if it was good for recording but even if it was the lag from hitting a key to when it actually plays is atrocious, that is IF the key decides to play anything at all. At best the key plays every other time you hit it. Decent synth sounds.
But i am wondering is there a way to include 3 or more loops into a recording at the same time?
Mind boggling effects and sounds galore. Easy to use. On remix OS you can map your keyboard to the keys, think about it =]
In my opinion, SynprezFM is the best free synthesizer app in Google Play. Really, a lot of thanks. Maybe I will even try using it for making different musical stuff :)
However the volume is too low and I cannot get the sustain. When I switch on the sustain function and press a key, it rings well, but press it again and the sound stops instead of making a sound.
I'm amazed that there's such a powerful FM synth for Android, and it's free! It works perfectly on my Nexus 7. I wish there was a VST version to use on my PC!
Got all volumes up full blast but I can barely hear this. Turn it up!!!
I love it. It's amazing, so many voices, so many effects, so many features. Wish I had a bigger screen. You could optimize for smaller phones, like having a effects page and a keyboard page.
Good app, but would be nice if there was a tab to hide the controls so once you've set your parameters you could focus on the keyboard, ie make it bigger so i can play it more easily
This is awesome!! I mean I don't know why people would want any other app for an FM synth Amazingly customisable, user friendly ui, midi compatibility with almost zero latency This app has it all!
Love it, very rich synth app, even gives me the choice to choose the size of my keyboard layout to fit those big 5.5 inch screens we have as standard on current phones
Hmm more a keyboard than synth.. Ok you replied I didn't know that there was an expert mode. Maybe make it easier to access or just have the parameters there already as you have titled this app a "synth".. Edit: I disagree I am an electronic music producer and when I download a synth then that's what I want, I want access to all the settings. Anyway you do have them there and you replied. But I think professional musicians would appreciate it being maybe more obvious where they are. I will check it all out soon and update my review again.
Really wanted to buy a DX-7. Native Instruments FM8 cost even more. For absolutely free, I was able to save every custom and factory sysex bank imaginable to my old Nexus 7 and it sounds way better than my TX81Z... plus I now have aftertouch and effects that I am way too dumb/lazy to try and achieve with the inferior rack module. Zero latency with Novation Nocturn via OTG USB.
A long time guitar hack, I figured free was a great price to try out sequencers, synths, and keyboards. Armed with some mother nature and "I dream of wires" fresh in my mind, I turned on, tuned in, and made an awful bit of noise. Being colossally stubborn , I have not stopped making noise since. I hope this app continues to improve, I probably won't, but blue Monday sounds recognizable, and I encourage anyone interested to try it.
I love this app, full stop. All I ask is for a few small changes: 1) ability to slow the arrpegiators even further. 2) a way of saving all effects and patches on screen and being able to switch to them whenever. 3) HP and LP filters, reverb and delay controls on each synth (even if its just in advance mode setup). Amazing app though, really super awesome :)
This app is truely an amazing piece of kit and the developer deserves nothing less than the highest praise and should be recognised properly for such an amazing achievement. It is unbelievably versatile, the pre programmed sounds are absolutely awesome as well as there being dozens of sounds you can use quite literally straight out the box. Given the amount of options available in the settings as well you will be literally blown away. Do yourselves a favour and get a usb/midi interface off ebay to hook your device up to a midi controller or use as an add on to your existing synth coz this app can definately hold it's own in a studio or live setup. I've used this app on 3 different Samsung Galaxy smartphones as well as 2 tablets across all android platforms from gingerbread to lollipop and had no issues at all except for lollipop and it's current stability issues that are affecting everything just now. (Just don't update to lollipop.) I wouldn't be suprised if the likes of Jarre or Vangelis don't already have this app in their asenal of music equipment and using it right now because for something that is completely free, it's one of if not "THE" most amazing app ever to be created.
Most musical instruments on Play have been lacklustre. This app however demonstrates what is truly possible on the Android platform. Possessing an amazing arsenal of preprogrammed sounds and editing capabilities, this is an app that puts others to shame. It sounds great, easy to use and best of all it doesn't cost a penny. Kept up the great work!
The sounds are accurate, and the interface is perfect. I have one suggestion: for small screens, while playing in the 'two keyboards' mode, the choices for the bottom keyboard appear squished (I understand it's because of my limited screen size). So, it would be perfect to add a drag-up style for the bottom choices' bar. I would love a nice update. :)
A MUST HAVE FOR SEMI-PROS! I 'll say the bottom line: this app has what all the others don't! Namely, real low lag (practically zero), accurate sounds, real-synthesis parameters and wonderful interface. It's a total 5. Nothing less.
I havnt even tried it but the fact that you let me make dx7 patches on my phone is worth five stars alone. Megadrive leads anyone?
Perfect DX7 emulator. Highly recommended. Ideal for learning FM synthesis.
Had the app for just 10 mins and already getting great sounds from it. Seems excellent and looking forward to having fun / being productive with the range of instruments & sounds provided. Thanks!
Amazing thanks to this keyboard I can now play rammsteins songs Christian lorenze plays the keyboard in rammstein.rammstein are my life.
At first I questioned the accuracy of the emulation, but after comparing Synprez with a friend's Mk 1 DX7, I found that the emulation was spot on like Dexed, an excellent no-cost alternative of Native Instruments' FM8 for Windows and Mac OS X. Further tests on my Motorola Moto G show zero latency, with and without my homemade USB-OTG adapter. I especially love the fact that DX7 SysEx dumps can be loaded, which instantly boosts Synprez's cool factor.
All I ask is for bigger keys but keeping the keyboard still playable. Other then that, it's solid.
I am not musical in that I can't make it. But I love this app and now I can. Super fun, wonderful design and I bet great code. Thank you.
But... The keys need to have their name on it. Like D E F F#G etc.
Many celebrity, s and myself have tried and enjoyed this app. 5 stars. Cadena, Jr. Fami
Great functional representation of hw FM synths. I have a suggestion though. Is it possible to include parameters that allow one to export voices in a *.syx format that's compatible with hardware DX7s? That would be incredible!!!
Such a small app. Now I want a larger tab!
Six-operator, Yamaha-style FM synthesis. Very tweakable, once you enable "expert mode" in the menu. Very responsive. Sounds great. Why only four stars? Because I hope one day this app will get a full, multi-channel/multi-timbre sequencer! And if that happens, I need to have another star to give. :)
Easy, fun, and most importantly it sounds great. A plethora of presets to boot.
Best best best piano app ever It works like a real piano system So, many tones, tunes , pitch bend and etc in only 1mb SUPERB A real piano download it.
Beautiful synth. Keep working on it.
