Htc10 full quality videos will not upload automatically. Error given states DS Photo is unable to upload: format not supported. Format is mkv, 4k high res audio

Excellent app until 2 most recent updates. Would crash when opening not even reaching login screen. Uninstalled and reinstalled and now it crashes when I try and configure a pass code. S6 Active, Android 6.0.1

Not usable since last update. Trying to log in gives me "unknown error". In general the app is very very slow. Navigating through folders (going back and forth) is horrible, especially when your album count is high. Sort order is not well adjustable (Should be different for files and folders when it comes to pictures) and it takes ages changing the order (as if it would have to reload everything from the server). However, this app is the only way I am able to access my Photo-Station from my phone 'properly' ... Synology, please fix this!!! Nexus 5 here

Has to load list of available folder/album names every time. Surely this could be cached so the mobile app only needs to look for changes. Takes ages even over WiFi. This is all before it tries to load any photos. Slow slow slow! I'll just use the web interface!

Will no longer log in to NAS so can't back up photos. Same log in details but DS Audio is fine. Please fix it

Recently started getting codec error message on some older camera videos. Now only plays audio

This is app would score 5stars, but frequent crashes during slide shows is not good at all. Also, more options are needed in settings, for instance to turn off the photo date display.

I' m done with this. The app itself is very slow and very laggy. A single photo took about 10 minutes to load and now I can't even log in to my account. Please fix this, since I shared an album with my family. The app is just very bad.

Would be Nice to have Google cast support so you can show the pictures to friends and family on the big screen.

The app works fine. But I'd like to see consistent functionality between the web app and phone app. Also, I want the app to work with external access. Don't want to be forced to use website to access files when I have the app

Pointless, it won't upload any of the photo's or videos taken with the phone. (Nexus 6P)

Am I the only one who is experiencing a continuous upload? Be it pictures or videos, it just loops on this one file it starts with. And then 100%, and then same file over and over again...

I guess the update caused it.

Since update cannot log in, so not much use till it's fixed. *update* nearly month gone by still won't log me in.

Please add the auto photo backup feature you added to the DS File Manager. Then this app will be perfect!

Backup feature really needs options to delay backup when deleting. Or delay deleting. Currently have two options, back up and delete immediately, or periodically. Periodically seems to backup and delete immediately. There really needs to be an option to backup immediately, then delete after 'x' amount of days or weeks. Current options are great to keep the storage space , however, the practicality of being too easily upload soon after taking the photos becomes very difficult.

always worked until new release. cant setup backup as it crashes trying to login. just realised none of my photos have not been loaded for a while. installed this onto old ipad the other day and worked fine. please sort asap.

I've been using this app with my disk stations for years. Great way to share photo collections with family. But recently it wouldn't work with url address anymore. Changing to quick connect fixed the problem. Then the latest update has broken that too. All family members on latest app get a login error (variety of phones, iOS and android). Disc station package is up to date. Uninstall and reinstall on phones does bit fix. Synology, please fix.

I can no longer choose which folder to backup using photo backup. It only finds recommended folders. Before I could select SD card or any other folder.... Now that option is gone and the app is useless to me. This is one of the main reasons I bought a NAS. Please help!

Doesn't see the NAS. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the app says to make sure the ip address is correct. Was working three days ago but not today... please fix

This app was excellent but since the last update (v3.11.0) it no longer works on S5. It opens and then crashes. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting DSM Photo and rebooting Synology. Nothing works. Still works on iOS - DS Photo v4.1.3.0

After the update, it won't play my videos anymore. I've tried MX player, VLC, and Google photos player and they all just sit there spinning. Why did Synology break this!?!? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Running in Nexus 5X with Nougat (Android 7.0).

This used to upload directly from my SD card which is where my camera saves pictures. Now it isn't an option in photo backup. Fix please... Let us choose which folder to backup from like before!

Worked up until latest update on s7 edge. Now won't work. Reinstall doesn’t help.

Latest update crashes continuously on my s7 edge.

Current version keeps crashing on my Samsung S7. This appears to be down to the photo backup process as deleting the app and reinstalling allowed me to open the app again, but it keeps crashing whilst then trying to re-add the photo backup.

Suddenly my quickconnect alias is invalid in the app. Works ok in the web. Why Synology does nothing about it? :/

I have using the app for years on iOS. After my recent switch to android( pixel), the app has been giving me trouble. It installs alright but crashes every time I launch it. That too after it has opened up. The crash occurs after a few seconds. I have not been able to take back up because of this issue.

Current version crashes the app everytime I try to use the backup feature. Happening on Pixel XL device running Android 7.1
