DS note

It needs to have inline thumbnails of pdf attachments. Without that it is useless for me. Searching content only works if you know the content. Browsing by opening links is too no good at all. A minor irritation is that the pen tool is not very smooth.

For almost 10 years I am using an android device I can't remember the last time I put a negative comment on an app, but guys.. really, have you tried it ? Really ? I just spent a few hours with it, fighting against it. It always modify your text, and appearance. This is very....exasperating ! It's all bug. I already tried it one year ago, and said to myself...this is new. Let them improve it. But now, and being a developer myself, I can only imagine the way it has been developed and tested. Too bad. I will now just introduce myself to Evernote. For the record, I was using DS415+ and galaxy note 3 the first time. I am now using galaxy note 8 with DS916+ 8Go. I am encountering bugs on virtual symology desktop, and computer windows client too.

Ok but needs a search function otherwise what's the point? Might as well just use paper and pen if you can't search.

The app is generally wonderful! Please make a widget for to-do list, as it's really necessary!!! It can be used for diary if it has locating function!!!

Seriously flawed ........... Deletes notes at random, needs a good coat of "looking at"

This app is generally ok, even though the are sometimes some sync issues. But taking 110Mb??? Come on! You can do better than this! I'll have to uninstall it in a while since my storage is becoming full, and this app is the first on top of the list when sorted by size!

Great note taking app! Admittedly not quite as full featured as Evernote, however very functional with all key features and runs on your own cloud! Provides all of the functions you would expect in an online note taking app. Synology just released a stand alone desktop app for the PC too. Great work!

I need the ability to rearrange my to do list via drag and drop, not ratings or dates. Also it destroyed the subtasks in one of my to dos, just overwrote all tasks w text from the first task listed. Note: I went to edit a checklist recently and it deleted all previous notes. I tried to keep it from replicating to the NAS, but too late. I want to like this, but come on! Stop deleting my stuff.

Desperately needs a search all notes function! Becomes hard to use the more you use it (trying to manually find a note out of hundreds)

Just found a tiny bug if is protected with pin code you can actually get in through the widget adding a note or photo then youll hsve full access to the notes no pin required

Have this on my Note 3, and it works very well. No limitations like Evernote; your data is your own! Currently using it for quick notes and tasks.

I love the idea of having notes on my NAS but each time I force myself to use DS Note it makes me want to abandon it. List of problems is very long: Text input is laggy even when notes are just few sentences long. Text autocomplete destroys words that are already written when you use backspace or try to add a letter in the middle - it duplicates parts of the word you are trying to write. When you paste text from the browser formatting you get inside DS note is bizarre - sometimes letters are huge or they have strikethrough you can't disable with app formatting tools or text is being pasted with unremovable under- or overlines. "Clear formatting" button does nothing to fix this. Checkboxes on lists do not sync checked/unchecked state correctly sometimes. It really is impossible to rely on DS note and treat it as a serious tool. What is really sad support seems to ignore feedback - I've reported some of the problems months ago and they are not fixed and they didn't even bother to reply. Synology have great hardware and core system but mobile apps seem to be just an afterthought. It's a shame.

Ansicht eine gute Sache, jedoch wäre es Klasse, wenn es möglich wäre, dass man Notizen temporär auf dem Telefon speichern konnte und dann, sobald die nas wieder online ist, hochladen konnte. Ebenso, würde solch eine Funktion dem picker in chrome bzw. der Share Funktion einen großen Sprung nach vorne verhelfen

Does everything I need. Seems stable so far and even integrates skitch for drawings! Great replacement for cloud based services!

Close to good but if I can't create tasks or to-do list for other users than there is no point

Was working OK after note station updated to 2.4.0-0615 recently the app no longer syncs, app version 1.8 0-191 ... :(

Overall a nicely designed app, however the widget is in need of a redesign and more customisability.

DS Note has many features but the basic functionality like editing, tagging and search is buggy. Remove tag from favourites crashes ds note every time on every android device I have

Also, +1 on those who reported the bug in the to do list... Eg, subtasks will randomly disappear and be replaced by duplicates if you attempt to create a new subtask immediately after having clicked into the last subtask.

- NOT A REAL MULTI-DEVICE SYNC APP. When you modify one note on two unconnected devices and you reconnect, the sync will only take the latest modification and juste get rid of your earlier modifications!! It is just a back-up and share app.. and not a multi-device sync app!! - CLIPPING TO IMPROVE. You could dramatically improve clipping of websites by allowing the use of login/password to save the pages we have subscribed to..

Pity there's no reminders.

Great app. Works for me. Offers sketches as well. Syncs like charm.

I would love to use this App with my Synology NAS but it only sync once. If I connect this App with my NAS it sync one time. After this initialization it wont sync anymore. 2 stars for note functional - 3 stars because I have to use it with a workaround (export of notes into a DS cloud folder).

Wie bei vielen anderen auch muss ich leider bestätigen, dass die Synchronisierung sehr instabil ist. Nach einigen Tagen kommt immer die dauerhafte Meldung, dass die Synchronisierung fehlgeschlagen ist. Lässt sich nur durch komplettes Trennen und neu Verlinken reparieren. Ansonsten wäre die App top, aber so kaum benutzbar...

I've been using this since a very early version, and I find it hard to believe it's actually become *more* buggy with time. Really is so frustrating. You would've thought text editing would be something fairly easy to implement...

Uses more than 110 MB RAM on a updated Galaxy S6 with Smartmanager activated and set to allways save power. Install five of the like and your smartphone becomes useless. Just another extremely average app from Synology. The tool also does not work when the Disk Station is offline. This means that the tool can't save content locally and sync later when within the local network. So whenever you are outside home, this tool becomes even more useless.

1. Once decrypted, note stays like that, decrypted- what is the point of enc? 2. Image editor is Skitch, why not let user pick default one, Samsung Note series has a way better img editing ability than Skitch, even Evernote will drop it. And because of Skitch, I am still paying for Evernote, what's the point of all marketing gimmicks and stabbing Evernote when it gives me what I need, and my Note Station that I bought your server for, is sitting idle, and waiting for me to put it on sale.
