It plays about half a FLAC track then jumps to the next track. Cmon synology time for some improvements in this app! It seems to be getting worse with every update.

I had none of the problems that other people describe but the latest update moved the Recently Added category that I use a lot. There is no Home and no option to pin in sight

Where did the "recently added" view go? I really hope it's not gone. This is a really key feature for users who add new albums to their collection semi often. Going back to that album the second or third time in a short period is really great.

Does not even play albums. Only track after track started manually. Something seriously wrong. Horrible.

The only way to shut down the app and keep it from popping up in my notifications area is to completely shut down phone. Clearing the notifications or exiting the app does nothing. The app restarts itself repeatedly.

Since I have a number of play lists with more than 1024 tracks, this makes app next to useless.

I click on the first song of a playlist; it says "24 songs added to the queue"; I press play and it says " there are no songs in the queue". Fundamental issue really.

Reliable, nice sound and on-the-fly mp3 convertion! Despite a simple and clean interface is everything there needed. The only Streamplayer which plays through playlist without interruptions I know. Thanks Synology

My BAD! It's necessary to grant non-admin users permission to use dlna/airplay devices. Boom, fixed. Thanks Craig at Synology support. Since this update I only see my Chromecast devices, airplay no longer showing in the list? Airplay is the primary reason I use Audio Station.

It's now very buggy. Downloading music does not show progress bar correctly. App crashes often.

Don't like new update as songs are now harder to find much prefer previous version now I have got to go through all my songs and albums to change the genre so they end up in the correct folders

I've been using DS Audio for a few years now and overall it is great - a really good app for playing music from my NAS to all my AirPlay speakers around the house.

Plays 2-3 seconds then says failed to play and skips to the next track.

This does the job (nicely); I am happy

Not much use to me now. It used to cast to chromecast audio, but doesn't anymore as not supported.

Slow login and clunky interface. Lack of options, starting page for example.

It's become crap!

Buggy. Fails to connet to NAS.

Give an option to sync the offline playlist. or atleast skip the existing files when downloading a playlist.

November 2016 update cured stuck notification bar bug, but app still won't stay logged in and maintain state between usage sessions. Displays "no data". Requires manual log out and log back in to work again.

This is quite a versatile app but alas quite buggy. Once an external device is selected (chromecast, airport, etc) and active you lose control. Cannot select the remote device, instead reverts back to the local phone. This happens on all Samsung S6 phones. Works fine on my Galaxy S2 Tablet.

I find it annoying that clicking on a song enqueues all the songs in the directory. A lot of times I want to play only one song. Need the ability to customize the default click action. It also Other bugs: - Cannot move the cursor if playing is paused, can only move the cursor if the song is playing. - keeps getting stuck in the notification area and I can't get rid of it. The only way to make it go away is to force stop

I usually love synology, however this app leaves much to be desired. For starters, you cannot see the entire file name, so you are guessing when you are playing. Then, as you fumble along trying to find what you wish to play, it automatically queues up the entire folder instead of just the one audio file. VLC works as a great alternative!

The app is great "in principle". The feature set is amazing and is supposed to do exactly what I want. For example, with my various DLNA devices at home, the remote control mode is a feature exactly as I want. But this is where the app falls short: it's buggy as hell! I try to get into remote mode, but the app jumps straight back to my phone mode. Sometimes I can get the remote mode started with a play queue, but then I am completely unable to control it any more. It is EXTREMELY frustrating, especially considering that the remote control mode works well and as intended with DS audio app in the web interface of my Diskstation. I really really wish the android app would be the proper easy to use remote control it's meant to be.

This app needs a design refresh. I'm now using plex app because this always logs you out when you close it. Takes too much time to log. I don't have that problem with plex. I'm always logged in and the plex app immediately starts playing content. I'm not happy with the development of this app and the functionality. Also the player control needs to have the ability to select previous and next track. I hate the when I close the app I can't remove it from my notification panel.

Terribly slow, to the point of being unusable. Downloads take forever. Faster to boot up a computer, plug your phone in, and copy via wireless samba share and USB connection. Don't do what I do and waste you morning waiting for files to copy.

Worked for a year now can't login. Uninstalled phone app, tried different account. Restarted synology and phone nothing will work. About a week of not working now and synology has zero customer service and unresponsive on Twitter so any complaints fall on what seems to be deaf ears unfortunately.

As other people have said it stays in the notification area even after quitting. Cannot remove unless phone restarted or force stopped. Other than that it's all good.

The app functions great for streaming to remote devices. I can stream to my home audio system, wifi speakers, Bluetooth devices, etc. Falls short in the following two areas: 1) Once disconnected from remote devices it leaves app open in the background and the music starts playing on its own on Galaxy Note 4. Have 2 pause multiple times or force the app closed. 2) It does only an ok job of classifying music into correct genres. Also, it would be good to have one app for all media playback like Plex/Stoamigo.

Since this update, I can't login over the internet. The only way I am able to connect is within my own language, using the internal IP address of the bad, and disabling HTTPS. This version has not been properly tested

Everything was working fine since last week but then with no reason the Chromecast audio was not working, playing the notification sound again and again. Other users have reported this as well. I do not know how to solve this. Of course the Chromecast audio works fine with other apps.

3 things needed to make this compete with other music player apps. 1. When selecting a track you should have the option to ADD TO QUE AND PLAY NEXT. Not just play immediately which cancels the currently playing track. Uggh! 2. When a track is playing there should be an option to search for more tracks by that artist or go to the full album playing. Often people start a random playlist then refine what they want to hear with the above two options. 3. Get rid of the music note icons beside EVERY track.

I love my Synology NAS but this app is very buggy. It often will just play a single album and ignore the song I select. Especially with downloaded songs. I then have to erase and redownload. Lately it's started running for no reason. I will have closed it. Hours later I'll look and it's running again. Always seems to be on the same song.

I loved this app and used it a lot. But last version simply ruined it. I was waiting for some time for Synology to fix it. Time passes by, and no fix is coming. It gets stuck all the time and fails to play songs. It loses link and doesn't recover. Closing it in this state is impossible. You have to kill it in the app manager. And oh my, if it happens during driving... It's quite frustrating. You don't expect such low level of product maturity from a respectful company as I assumed Synology to be. Annoying!

Worthless, there is no way to look up what you added last like in ds video. No point if you cant sort your music out. And the new "home" needs to go. I think its time to move on from synology to qnap, i hear they make better stuff anyways

The latest update has just ruined this great app?! Very buggy - won't play to the next track, tracking bar just randomly moves and does not follow progress, crashes some times. But biggest issue for me is it won't close - The lock screen "prev-play-next" screen stays on and the sticky notification of it playing won't go. Have to reboot my phone to get rid of them. Such a shame, was a really good app and complimented the web version (nas version) so well. Get this sorted Synology! :(
