UMACapp

UMACapp runs on 10" (1280 x 800 resolution) Android tablets and assists the Little Dragon and Junior-level karate students of the United Martial Arts Center in Victor, NY by providing a single location for all their reference material.


The application also provides the students with a mechanism for testing their knowledge as they move up the ranks toward black belt certification.

Reference information for all levels of karate students is integrated into a single application.

Integration of text-to-speech along with video and still pictures into the application enhances the student’s learning experience. Installation of SVOX's Pico Text-to-Speech engine will be required. For privacy reasons, video and still pictures not included in the downloaded application but are available by contacting Sensei David Kalish.

Level-based testing ensures that the students are comprehending the material at a pace which will ensure that they meet their ultimate goal of achieving the rank of black belt.

Note: UMACapp has been verified to run on the Acer A500, Motorola Xoom and Samsung Galaxy Tab tablets but should run on any 10" tablet that supports 1280 x 800 resolution.
