Norton Snap qr code reader

I wanted a QR code scanner that checks links before opening them so I tried Norton Snap on my Motorola Moto G4 Plus and no matter what I did I could not get it to read a QR code. I uninstalled and reinstalled Norton Snap but it still would not work. I then installed Kaspersky QR Scanner and it works perfectly. I wonder what's wrong at Norton that allows them to put an app in Google Play that does not work.

It worked great for me the very first time I tried it! However, love Norton products anyway, or in other words, have never had an issue with any of them! Will let ya know if any issues arise with your app. Thanks for letting us use it for FREE!!!

I researched for top QR readers and came across this one and being a longtime Norton customer my confidence & preference immediately went to this product. Works great so far for me with no cons or complaints to report.

Works fine. Was watching netflix, and saw the QR code on a wall in the movie. Used it and got the Web page to open just fine. The code in the film was even a tad hazy around the edges. The code was not dead on straight to my phone either.

It took a very long time to download and once it did, I couldn't get it to read the QR code on the Norton product I had purchased. I had to download a different QR reader..

Did not work on my phone. Lots of focusing, clicking, but never any confirmatory beep or results. Long time user or Norton products here, so disappointed app did not work. Now have a new phone, Samsung Galaxy 5 and works great! Thanks.

It seems to take minutes to read any style bar/ code on common items. Not really worth the effort.

MOST TIMES DOES NOT FOCUS!!! No ability to generate QR codes and no other features. Norton/Symantec, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER and provide users with more than the bare minimum.

Was very helpful when I got a blue screen error after a driver update. I have also used this with other codes.

I trust Norton & their QR Code Security Reader is Great. At stores or on products I have been kept safe! I highly recommend this app!

But I have trouble finding it because it's not alphabetized under 'qr'. Otherwise great!

Tried Avira and Kaspersky's qr scanner but they were useless. This one works perfect.

To use the app, I first have to give it camera permission. To give the app camera permission, I have to give it overlay permission. There is no option to give overlay permission (The option is grayed out.), so I cannot use the app.

Why remove the ability to see what the code is before going to the content? So stupid.

For General purposes reads great. What I've missed for a while - barcodes' support was added recently. So now I really love it!!!

Finally found a qr scanner that actually works. Even if you need to pick a code near to others. And i like the added security. Keep up the good work.

Besides being an QR reader and barcode scanner, it also warns your about the safety of the website you are about to visit.

Supports both QR and Barcode. Would appreciate even more if it can scan QR and Barcode from images saved on mobile in picture or document format

I'm a big fan of Norton products. I have them installed in all my devices. This is their first app that's couldn't even perform the most basic of tasks. I tried many QR readers and all worked with this one exception. Uninstalling right after I post this review.

Kept getting QR apps that took me to adds or their search engine. I like having a reputable name being this.

Evaluation: I have been quite pleased with this app. Versatile on both QR reading and Bar code transfers, much to my surprise. While I was expecting a target profile, the well defined circle view does the job well. My LG tablet F 8.0 and Swype work well on this app

Cos norton doesn't know if this is safe or not...no info.. Lol

LG G3 Android 5. App just sat doing nothing. No use to me. Uninstalling.

Very easy-to-use. I like that it scans for harmful sites before connecting.

Works with erase...keeps my phone safe Evan donning so...love ing!

This app works great. Scans qr codes that other apps won't. (Or can't) like the very small ones.

Takes the guesswork out of if you have found a safe qr code.

Installed it, but it keeps crashing without reading the qr code.

Reads well even if the surface is not flat or at an angle. Flash and search functions are nifty. Wish it was easier to save a read code directly as a text or image file.

Extra layer of security without slowing down too much. After scanning, the URL appeared briefly before going straight to the site with your default web browser.

Works wonderfully won't let you download any software that can contain a virus!

Really liked the fact that it runs a virus / malware scan. I use Norton on my tablet and desktop

It sucks. Impossible to scan most codes

Beautiful code reader, works as expected, and backed up with that Norton safety warm fuzzy feeling. I dig it.
