Norton Family parental control

Not as useful as needed. When I need the location service to work it isn't working. Unless I am missing something I don't see any monitor for actual phone calls. Just messages. Also I thought I would be able to only allow access to the allowed contacts. But it allows the phone to call anyone. And I don't see where to monitor those phone calls. I'm paying for this service so I am actually considering researching another family control software. In Response to Support: Yes Location is on. It works sometimes. Sometimes it doesn't work. It was when I needed it to work on day it decided it didn't want to work. Thank You!

The app is near useless. What works: location which that's ties into Google maps and can tap on the directions icon to get to where the phone in question is. Otherwise, activity information is spotty and unhelpful. Information that you can scroll constantly resets to the top of the list, which is annoying. It's more of a reminder that the full fledged web interface done via a bonafide computer laptop/desktop is way better.

At the beginning I had lot issues with support. To slow but day after support was fast and really helpful. App for android need more work but you can control everything via web. Still I have a feeling that data update is somehow slow. Some data update few hours late...web,video search and usage of app.

This app is not working properly. I wanted to monitor the time that my kids spend on their mobile devices. Unfortunately most functions do not work.

No freedom. If you want to use litterally any app you need to consult it with your parents and they need to number one type in the password, number two unblock the app, and number three, WAIT AN INCREDIBLY FREAKIN LONG TIME FOR THIS RETARDED APP TO COMPLY! Also of you get a notification from any blocked app, no matter what you are doing it will just pop up with a sigh reading, thos app is blocked you may not enter, AS IF I DIDN'T ALREADY KNOW! If you are an overprotective RETARD of a parent, then congratulations and give yourself a pat on the back because you have found the perfect app.

Wish it was better for android, but love all the immature 1 star reviews from children who use the app! For me, a testament of its effectiveness and need!

I kind of like it but it would be much better if you have for one or more app(s) more time instead of that it stops direct☺

This stupid app gives me 0 freedom, trust is a 2 way street parents need to trust their kids and I need to trust my parents.

It doesn't​ have the ability to limit some apps during certain times of the day, but allow others.

Great idea and it works well except of your child uses a 3rd party messaging app which sends all texts as MMS which the app does not let you monitor. Lots of good features though.

Says internal error every time I try to change house rules.

Hate hate hate it! I'm a 13 year old girl who needs her freedom. I have a boyfriend and many friends and none of them have a stupid parental app on THEIR phones! It's embarrassing! They get to stay up all night and text if they want and I'm lucky if I get to have until 11:00 pm!!

I understand all the frustrated kids who hate this app because I have it too. HOWEVER, I can show you how to get around it: 1. Norton needs internet connection to notify your parents about your activity. So you need to get an app that restricts Wi-Fi/Data for specific apps. (I recommend Mobiwol) 2. After you disable Norton's internet connection, turn off Norton's Accessibility and App Usage Access in the settings. Now Norton can't monitor what you're doing, and you have no time restrictions! Was working for two weeks ok now I can't unlock child apps..using Android phone both phones running 4.3.2..error messages failed and can not update rules. Also tried using web page rather than the app and it says unable to update policy

Bought this app for a year...won't be renewing. GPS unusable after Android upgrade, half the time I get a message that says it's unable to retrieve data at this time, shows that a picture message is sent but won't let you see what was sent. Typical Norton junk...I should have known better. No...GPS still doesn't work. I've given up on this product and have purchased a new one to replace this with...this was a waste of money!

This isn't helpful at all. Any time I try to change the rules it comes up with an error and I can't monitor anything. I've used it before and the same results! I gave it one more chance and I was disappointed again. You're wasting time and money when you get this app. You should just take it down.

It's convenient when it works. It no longer crashes as much as the previous version. It just doesn't save any change I made. One of the most useless apps possibly made.

Within 24 hours my kid had uninstalled this without any problem and without us being given a notification. If it's that easy to get around this program, it's less than useless because it gives parents a false sense of security.

I understand all you kids that have this on their phone and can't get rid of it, I too have it. But I can show you a way to get around it. All you need to do is make another account on your phone, once you have done that don't download Norton family and everything will be great and can go on whatever you want. I don't know if this works on apple but you could still try

One area that needs improvement is YouTube,twitter, instgram, and snapchat. Need to be filter some how with word search. I think if you go into the coding and not allow certain word search that can make this app full proof. Also parents. Make sure you download Norton App block and activate administrator inside the app under settings. This allows your child to not able go download and uninstall apps like Google play

Pretty worthless when a fourth grader can defeat the time restrictions

Norton App will accept my password even though it's the matches the account. The app needs work on viewing texts and pictures.

It is the best because it help me get read of my thirst to go to sites I try not to visit thank you dad and thank you norton family.
