Norton App Lock

This is what I was looking for.... Genuine and easy to use. One issue is there ..if you've locked your photos app or gallery and launch photos app but don't enter password and open the task manager (basically from where you see all open tasks and clear) you would still see few photographs inside photo app without actually unlocking it. But only recent pics will be shown. For sure You can't enter in photo apps without unlocking it but not good if you have clicked something recently which u don't want to show to others.

Norton app lock is the perfect way to manage which applications you want to keep safe. This way you can let someone use your phone without having to worry. I give Norton app lock a 5 ???? rating! (4 goes to performance, and 1 goes to the ads.) P.S Norton is ads free. Thank you Norton for going where few have gone before. It's a dangerous Cyber-world out, yet you still put your consumer first.

I really do like Norton, I have Norton on all of my devices, and im always recommending their services! I feel its the most secure security you can get! I have all of the norton products installed on my phone! A Name You Can Trust! This app in particular adds a second level of security, let alone from the pass code to get into your phone you can lock your setting app to make it more difficuly for theives to reset your phone! Or however block apps on a phone you dont want your kids or siblings sneeking around on!

Simply Amazing! I love the fact that I can lock any app without any fuss and Zero Ads. Also, The Devs being responsive and someone trusty like Norton is icing on the cake. Just one thing... As some users already pointed out, there is a way to peek in a locked app if you use the recent key or task switcher. Doesn't allow you to open and check the locked app entirely though. No worries! Cheers.

I really love this app. I used many app lock apps, they had ads and it was so annoying. Finally i found Norton App Lock which is ad free , easy to use and provides the same services as other app locks. It has fingerprint unlock and there's a session lock option which is useful if you want to hop back into the app without unlocking it again. Best app lock ever.

Norton app lock is easy to install. Easy to use. It gives me an extra layer of security. I chose Norton because of name familiarity, positive reviews and also because the features I need are free. because I used free wi fi at my work place, I realized someone was snooping around. Reading my text messages, my saved or downloaded content. I realize that is a risk when using someone else's WiFi but my phone is my business, and having Norton app lock lock each of my apps put a stop to that kind of nosiness. My phone is my business! I wholeheartedly recommend It to everyone and caution those who use free WiFi or ,any wi fi for that matter to get Norton app lock. It gives me piece of mind to know that my phone is a little more secure.

Norton family and Norton app block with administrated activate is the best and 97% for parental control. Your kids can still look at 18+ through YouTube Twitter, snapchat and Instgram. But going into the Norton family and mainly blocking those websites and using app block to not allow to download apps makes it really safe.

AD-FREE!!! I LOVE THIS APP!! Straight to the point. I've been searchi g for an app that just locks apps without the other stuff like clean phone and boost performance. All those others do is just suck up your space and phone memory. This one is simple and easy ro use. It does not takr up memory and best part is it's ad-free! I love Norton! They've always been better than McAfee. I rarley give 5 starts but this one very well deserve it.

No ads, fast and works well on my devices. Glad I was able to find something without the constant take over of my device with ads, it's phone unlock that I never enable with other apps I've used to do what Norton does. Don't waste time searching for any other app locker, this is great and easy setup.

It's an awesome app. Does what is supposed to do without any bull****. One bug though, if you lock your device with the locked app open, it causes issues with the finger print unlock of the device as well as the locked app which appears right after you unlock the device with pass code. If this bug is resolved, then i think this is the best app locker on the play store!

It would be great if there are more options available, such as - unlock all locked apps as a permanent feature & keep them unlocked for a customized time after screen off , option to add apps to recommended list of apps to be locked, lock all apps on recommended list. Other apps also include features such as random keyboard so shoulder surfers don't easily guess the password. These features and more on the same lines would be awesome.

Very Nice App and very very Fast. Other apps take time to lock the app like micro second. Even in micro second it can impact your privacy. But Nortan app is too fast. It does not give even micro second to unkown user. I love this App. I unistalled all other Apps and installed Norton. Please installed this at once and see the huge and great difference. Actually, this app is great if you do not lock your phone often. If you do like I do, then it gets irritating to keep having to unlock the app every time I unlock my phone. There may be operator error going on here. But I do like the feature were the apps give an option to keep the apps locked even when your phone is unlocked. That's cool.

Great app. My son likes to watch youtube kids on my phone but don't like him getting into apps he shouldn't. Thanks. I do have to agree with Ankur, if some taps the button to see open apps you can still see stuff. Need to be able to lock that too. Or just close before giving phone to anybody.

It locks most of the apps. However when I receive a facebook messenger message, I lost the app I am using at the moment and the fb messenger takes over the display prompting for the PIN. Then I have to choices: either unlock the fb messenger or press the home button and find the app I was using. It would be truly great if you guys can prevent the fb messenger from grabbing the display as what you have done with ither apps.

It could be smoother it seems to glitch a lot. And its not consistent. My friends at work often access my files during break. It also needs more settings options like setting up the snapshot of who is trying to unlock your phone the snapshot works only when it wants to. If its gets better i will rate it better.

One of the better app locks I've used. HTC One M9 Android 7.0. I have over a dozen apps locked with no "pestulations" (new word) from Norton to upgrade. No ad pop-ups. Norton is just doing a superb job. I used to use Norton exclusively since DOS 5 days. Unfortunately Windows drove the product price beyond my ability to pay

I have a few Norton apps and I'm mostly pleased. I selected 3 or 4 apps to lock at one point. Then I unlocked them. Ever since they often get re-locked on their own. One is Facebook Messenger. I unlock it and a few days later the lock screen pops up as I'm doing something else because I got a message and it's somehow been locked again. I go back, unlock it... It keeps happening. No one else has access to my phone. I have a different lock on the entire phone in general. I'm not sure what's happening. It's happened with other apps I had locked in the past too. I unlock them... Then one day go to use them and they're locked again. I love the idea, but I think my one phone lock is sufficient at this point.

I love this feature that let's me know if the app is safe and if not, provide me with plenty of information as to why the app wasn't given a safe rating. Depending on the risk involved, I can take that risk by changing the app as a trusted app so it can go ahead and be installed. You never know how well the developer did while developing the app how much safety and security was built in. It's nice to have this feature bundled with so many great features in Norton Security! Thanks for the work put in every Norton product. Starting with Norton Utilities in the 80's, I still trust Norton products for security and Windows utilities. I've ventured off a time or two but always came back to Norton. I just trust their products. Great job to a long time, dedicated customer!!

It works and it's from Norton. I have used these guys for anti virus since 1999 n not once did something get through. It's the equivalent of buying an Volvo, the most safest ever, then getting a steering wheel cover from the dealer. It will never fade or tear n will always protect you. You need to dump everything that's not Norton n place these guys on every piece of electronic devices u have.

Amazing app. Has all the features needed and is ad free. Wow. No phone lags. As others have mentioned if you use task switch you can view a part of the locked app. Also has a feature to allow app to be unlocked till the device goes to sleep. Fingerprint integration is also useful

Probably the only ad-free app-lock available to this date! And then, it comes from Norton- so one can be more than worry-free about granting access to this app (apps asking for 'access' to almost everything and anything in the phone during installation and operation is the single greatest threat..). Smooth and easy operation. Appears to be quite light (at least my phone with 4GB RAM and a SD 835 processor does not feel the load) on phone.

Every time I update the app it turns off the app locking features. This is totally annoying. My phone is unprotected for days until I realize the app lock is not working, then i have to go into settings and turn it on. Why don't you guys fix this?!?

Very good idea. However it is not quite perfected yet. On occasion it will throw itself up where an app was not locked. It's an overlay, so if you are switching apps quickly it could come off over some app that you did not lock. Keep working on it; it's a great idea!!

Doesn't really protect to fullest. Even with admin rights, you can hold an app and drag to uninstall. Even if that app is locked, Android will allow and complete its uninstallation and reinstallation. This will allow full access to your phone if someone wants to get in I'm sure a workaround would be possible to get to that app.

Continuing problem with Samsung Galaxy S4 S5: App Lock requires the Accessibility option Talk Back to be switched on. This in turn would require essential intelligent smart features to be switched off, like Multiwindow, Smart Screen, Air Gesture, Air View, Palm motion. But this is not an option as these are very useful and cool features and loosing them very definitely won't do. Therefore Norton App Lock will not start!!! Same problem with Norton Mobile Security App and it's options Norton Security Service, Norton Web Protection for Firefox, Norton App Advisor for Google Play. Please try and fix this!

I moved to a new Android device and since I have App Lock will not work. It keeps asking me for my Google acct info, I give it, then it says it can't find it. It also has Google send my a 2 factor code to my phone and then it doesn't ask for it. I enjoyed this app on my old phone, but now, when I need it the most, it's not there. Please help!

This app is really good. First of all no ads and it is working very good. Previously I used many apps which I fedup of those. Among all I like this very much. Why I left one star is, sometimes while minimising the apps, for example photos, it is showing what photos are there inside. I hope it may be rectified in next update.

Works fine with all apps except my banking one. Without fail, the banking app will close itself when I try to open it - then the App Lock won't accept my fingerprint unless I close it & re-open it. And even then it's hit & miss. Uninstalled & re-installed, same issue.

Two major issues. The app requires you to "enable accessibility", but it resets to "off" intermittently, when the app is closed and when the phone re-boots. Second, you can close the app by clearing the "recents" list or closing the app in "recents". Between these two items, it pretty much defeats the purpose of having an extra layer of security and privacy.

Its fast and responsive. The lock screen shows up as soon as you tap the respective app icon unlike most of other app locks available on Play store. Just the aesthetics of lock screen UI needs a little overhaul, it feels a bit outdated. May be something material or adding a on screen keypad for password.

The program works great but like every other app lock program it does not stop the locked program from being accessed from the pull down notification. I am able to still get access to a locked app... clicking the icon it's locked but from the pull down notification I can access which is a major concern so this app like all the others is useless to me.

Sometimes I click on an app by mistake or decide I want to close it without unlocking it. Seems the app doesn't like being minimised or closed while in the lock screen, because it takes several seconds to respond to those actions. Lock the app, but don't lock me into the lock screen if I change my mind.

Very simple, just select which app you want to lock and off you go. Sometimes even though I don't want to go to an app it asks the passcode just because that was open last and that prevents to go anywhere. Mild annoyance I'm sure it will be amended soon.

The app lock feature is among the best but when the ads are shown for Norton family products and if people click on the ads it shows a glimpse of what's inside the app which was locked. For example, I have locked my gallery and when I click the ads it shows what's inside my gallery for a second before it goes to the play store! Which defeats the purpose of app lock to me.

Does not work with new app downloads. Maybe I have missed something in setup. I will be uninstalling if there's no way around this. Update: Maybe the above is misleading. I need an app that automatically locks other apps on download. Otherwise family users are free to download and use any inappropriate apps without the permission of the account holder.

I think its a great app to have. I have nosy sisters who used to read my texts now they cant & it gets to them that they cant get past turning it on. It certainly gives you privacy & its very easy to use. 10/10 I love it????

After coming through various app locks my search ends with #Norton. No need to say that Norton is a big name in security and they have proved it with this app lock. Simple and lovely interface with #Norton lock assure us to keep our secret a secret. A Big Thumbs up ☺️
