Beware! Speed data is not up to date! Paid for premium after being initially impressed with basic functionality. In use I find that much of the data is not up-to-date so I have no confidence in using it. There is also no obvious way to update the data. The app has not been updated for 12 months so I suspect that it is no longer supported.

Went from OK to useless. Complained, got stock response and no solution. Cost me around £10 a year or two ago, but found more comprehensive and accurate apps recently for under £2.50. Cutting my loses and uninstalling. Avoid!

U70%
by U####:

Works as advertised. Only gave it 4 stars due to some areas speed limits are incorrect. Example Canal Street North of I-10 is 35 MPH not 30 MPH. Also Jefferson Parish no longer has speed cameras. However, the towns of Gretna and Westwego still use mobile cameras.

Five stars don't let me finesse my review. The app is great where it works, but on a long trip I'd like to download the speed limit data like I do the maps for offline use. If I've missed how to do this, I'll up the rating!

Easy to use and intuitive design to include it into any other traffic app as an overlay.. THIS REVIEW WAS WRITTEN BY SACHA BRASSEL, CLICK ON ON THE MARKETING ICON AND FIND OUT HOW TO GET YOUR BUSINESS EXPOSED DRAMATICALLY ONLINE!

Not updated data for street camera location. Un-reliable real time street camera (speeding & red light camera) with free trial? You ask for payment for this unreliable app? Why dont you develop for free version with unlimited time, like TripView? Waste time, Waste space. Useless using this app...!

H70%
by H####:

I paid for Premium for the sole reason it would overlay Speed Limit and my speed onto Google Maps Navigation. I have done everything suggested, reinstalled app, turned on use in other apps, rebooted, cleared cache, but it doesn't work... (Redmi Note 3 Pro) Happy to revise rating if I can be proven wrong.. Please arrange refund unless you can fix promptly.

I like this app but its local speed limit notices for Melbourne, Australia are very inaccurate, so cannot be relied upon. The data they use is a couple of years old. Would give this app 5 stars if they updated the speed limit data. I emailed support and they say they get the speed limit data from a reputable source. But in the real world their data is about 2 years old and out of date.

D70%
by D####:

The only drawback is that it can't draw on top of the screen of Android auto when projecting on the car's dash display, and does not output any sound when Android auto is running. Those would make this a killer app.

by I####:

It's annoying and that you have to turn the app on first in order to get it to work in Google Maps. You then have to keep the app open in the background and then open Google Maps. It's an overlay that shows your speed that you're currently moving. Funny thing is once you close Google Maps it still continues overlay everything so you then have to go to the app and close it out. They need to rework this so it opens with Google Maps and you don't have to open it first. Also it does not show the speed limit!

U70%
by U####:

Do I need this if I'm a premium user of GPS Nav & Maps? I have bought it just so I can see current speed beside speed limit and get advanced warnings but, really, why is this not part of the main app as the two have crossover features?? I'm confused.

by P####:

I've been using it for a couple weeks on an old LG smartphone with no service (I wanted a dedicated phone that can permanently stay mounted in the car) and this app is perfect. Even without cell service it still tells me my exact speed. Since there are no "speed cameras" in Connecticut, at least in my tiny town, I can't say how well that warning works, but overall it's a great DashCam app even on a phone with no service. I just wish I could upload the videos to other devices.

I accidentally bought life time membership for this app. In NYC , It is just nothing but a noisy toy calling your name every few munite for gps and notifying speed exceeding too strictly to be usefull. Camera warning is not covering accurately. So I am turning off for good.

U70%
by U####:

I wanted this purely to show and warn of speed cameras on google maps. It made some warning noises (unclear what the noises were for) when there was nothing near. Failed to give any warning for 2 out of 3 speed cameras. The one valid warning was multiple sound alerts but no visual. Bluetooth speaker connection also did not work.

Love the fast response of support and the usability of the app. Although it drains the battery for me, I hope it will only get better and better. Thank you. EDIT: Works as it should, however the company is far behind speed limits and cameras. Speed limits changed years ago and this is still showing the old ones.

U70%
by U####:

It works quite well, but it lacks, or hide the 'how to' set audio warnings that I am speeding, or very close to speeding. It is vital that clear audio warnings are given, not just for speed cameras, but for the actual, and probable speeding. Otherwise excellent, and accurate speed limits, though lacking the ability to predict when the speed limit will probably change, ie, there is no predictive 'look ahead', which is a very important requirement. Without voice warning of actual, and probable speeding, this is marginally ok. Fix this, and it will be fantastic.

N70%
by N####:

This app is beautifully clean, simple and accurate. It does exactly what it says in an extremely aesthetically pleasing way. Improvements would be to allow user specified alert sounds, and allow for a continuous alert when exceeding the speed limit threshold

H70%
by H####:

Speed limit widget in Google Maps helps me avoid speeding tickets, but it also aids me when traveling by notifying me of the speed limit. Sometimes I am "unable" to see the speed limit signs on the interstate due to being on the left side of a truck when passing the sign (North American interstates). There should be a toggle button on the main screen to choose whether it automatically comes on with GoogleMaps. It would be nice if the file size could be a bit smaller as well.

P70%
by P####:

Had premium app for a while and I was originally impressed but recently it's started to become inaccurate and increasing unreliable. On Aug 8 I have driven round the M25 and it failed to identify many speed cameras especially newer hidden cameras. It also alerts for camera in the general vicinity of the M25 as you pass under or over A road or B roads and even for a school on the M25!!! If you cannot rely on the app to accurately report cameras then it's just useless and likely to cost you an unwanted fine.

S70%
by S####:

This is a great app especially when on long road trips as it gives you an accurate current speed and will show you the current speed limit. There are a few improvements that I would like to suggest however. 1. No night mode, there doesn't seem to be a way to darken the maps at night to keep your night vision. 2. You can run the app with the speed limit and current speed showing on other maps such as google maps as I do in car mode however it would be better if you can select those specific apps

G70%
by G####:

It crashes my other programs when it randomly opens and you can't do anything to prevent it. I've had the premium version less than half a day. It also drains the battery like nothing I've ever seen. Just wish I could get my money back... Uninstalling now...

N70%
by N####:

Great app used it to drive through the city of london yesterday. Couple of things sometimes the app is a tad late to warn about cameras. Also for me it didnt warn about the average speed cameras on the A13. Finally if gps signal is lost then you lose all warning for cameras. One example is the limehouse link in tower hamlets. I know there are 3 speed cameras but not 1 warning from the app. I guess that is the price you pay for not having a database downloaded on your phone but great app anyway.

N70%
by N####:

When the trial ends, the premium features are removed along with most usefulness to the app, such as showing speed cameras on the map. To keep using the full featured app, a pay subscription is required. As far as the app itself, it works nicely. Clean interface. The map orientation works better than Google maps. Overall a good app when all the features are active. Useless after the trial has expired. The price is a little too high for me to keep using.

A couple of suggestions: 1. allow to change the speed of the waring, for example is the posted speed is 55 the alarm will go off at 56. I would love to be able to set the alarm at a higher speed limit like 4 miles above for example. 2. Thu,mb up and down with some delay. Now I am in Sierra Vista AZ, and the voters decided to now allow speed cameras within the town, however all the warning for the speed cameras are still there. I know is impossible to keep up with all the changes but the easier is to report the changes the better. The application is just great.

J70%

Its either accurate or it isn't, one fixed camera penalty is enough for you to no longer trust the app. I found the speed limits inaccurate on certain stretches of French highway and it failed to pick up a speed camera in Basel that has been there for >8 years. Waste of money and will be cancelling subscription.

Works well on Sony Xperia Z3 Compact & Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Update: Used this for some time and can be rated 10. Dashcam is amazing (automated, clean & good res video clips, rich customization for duration, quality, auto, folder, audio off, loop, etc.). Speed Camera alerts are 100% accurate for permanent radar spots but Max speed display has update delays. Awesome alerts when going over speed limits (with custom "over" alerts). Programmer responds promptly. Overall, A+ app.

X70%
by X####:

I could recommend a few customizing features, especially a threshold setting, but very good. I DON'T USE THE SPEED CAMERA FEATURE. Has not missed a speed limit yet. Occasionally closes unexpectedly. Overlays Google maps perfectly.

N70%
by N####:

As the description states, it is too slow to update the speed limits when entering a new street or speed zone. Would be a 5 star app if it was able to keep up with the speed changes. I would also like the option to disable the splash screen on startup and the incident button when the app is displayed in another app such. Fix these things and I will easily give 5 stars.

Great app worth paying for, You get a free trial period 7 days I think then it's time to buy the app and with user participation locating speed cams, red light cams, traffic, accidents, police officers, closed roads and the choice of side of the road the above are located This app has a dash cam feature and a map that works either with or without google maps. Can you afford not to get this app?

C70%
by C####:

Very useful app. I use it mostly for checking the speed limits. However, not all of signs are accurate, so it will be great to have an option to report inaccurate signs. Also, sometimes after closing the app, sign in notification bar remains and app won't start unless I force stop it.

Used the trial and upgraded to premium! One bug problem is that while on the fwy passing by speed cameras that are located on surface streets I get the alerts. It becomes annoying and distracting. Why does it alert of camera if I am on the fwy and not on the road which the camera is locsted on? I do appreciate the police man alerts on surface streets while I drive on the fwy. Also, maybe add a feature to change the alert sound notification? Otherwise a fantastic useful app!

Is there any way to stop the app from interrupting my phone call conversation going through my car stereo bluetooth and making it play through my phone's speaker. Very annoying while driving and talking on a phone call.

I run this app in the foreground, and my cobra i radar app + detector, in the background. Together, they have saved me several times from getting a ticket. I'm no speed demon, but everyone drifts over the limit sometimes....things like this just help to remind us.

When i had the app as trial it was working perfectly! Really enjoyed it. However when i upgraded to PREMIUM the app started to had some issues. Long time to find the location, pretty often it crashes and drains a lot of battery. I have LG G2 Android 4.4.2 Kernel 3.4.0 Software version D80220h-EUR-xx

Premium costs way to much. Stupid price for what it does. 1 star for trying to rip everyone off. * Try Trapster as it does MORE and its FREE. * You will NEVER be as good as Trapster and its free and always has been. * STOP trying to justify ripping people off! TOMTOM has the same thing for FREE!

It keeps crashing and the premium feature also crashes Google Maps if used together (which is the reason to get premium). Tried it many times with and without running other apps, but it does not work. Email support, but did not hear back.

This application covers it's main function, speed limit excess warnings on all primary and most secondary roads, plus photo radar advanced warnings, effectively. Most of the speed limits listed are accurate and the alerts are not excessive. On limited configuration the app uses 10 to 15 MB's of data per day and battery drain is moderate. Would like to see school zone speed limits and warnings included in the database. Should help prevent those odd police "fishing hole" speeding tickets. Pretty good app.

Keeps me from getting a ticket in areas that I don't usually drive. Speed limit is right there and if you go more than 8 miles over, it lets you know. Awesome!
