Complete novice and this is very helpful

Great idea, terrible execution of software. Constantly crashes rendering it tedious and useless. It's been 10 months since a software update? Time to fix these issues

I really, really want this to work. On my Note 4, the app crashes after each swing; I then have to restart the app and rediscover the unit via bluetooth. My Note 4 is running Lollipop now but Swingtip crashed with the previous Android OS too. My phone is also stock, NOT "jail-breaked" or tampered with. Please make the app not crash so I can give a much better rating!!

Good email response by rep. Had trouble tracking swings at first but with software update working well now. Tricky using this and Golflogix on the course at the same time. Has not improved my golf yet but am more aware of shortcomings. Teriffic idea and reasonable value. Video seems to acquire but no display. Using ver 2.08. Just installed Optishot golf simulator (club head tracker) - comparison will be interesting.

The app correctly identified that I have an Outside-In swing and provided suggestions on how to correct it. The app also provides other useful information such as swing speed, tempo and if the club face is open, square, or in at point of contact. Would be 5 stars, but the live coach session is not yet compatible with Android devices (the live coach works great on apple devices).

The sensor is way of for leftys. Shows contact before club reaches the ground. Half the swings recorded as right handed. Had a right handed player try it with no problems.

I have been playing golf for over 6 years. This product is simple and just magical. I hav a Samsung Galaxy tab and I found the recent release very useful while analysing my swings..It gives me all the technical information and resources. The auto video capture feature is awesome. this wud be my personal Golf coach for sure.

Got it as a gift for Christmas. Have been having a blast the past week taking swing practice in my basement with a net and rubber balls. Displays my swing nicely and seems very accurate.

I love being able to see my swing from different angles and getting instant tips for improvement.

Love everything about this app except it keeps turning my Wi-Fi on every few minutes when not using the swingtip. Fix that & I would rate 6 or 7 stars!!!

Only detected 2 out of about 30 swings. Not able to track any practice swings. Good email response from rep who says software update due in about 10 days may fix the problem.

Using this with the SwingTip unit on my club I have already noticed a few big faults, such as the inside-out swing. I've only been playing for 5 years, but I think this might help me improve. Besides seeing the swing line, the tips are helpful.

First off I must say I love this tool. It can help pin point a problem area quickly. I have used it twice, first time it worked flawlessly, 2nd time I had a problem. The device would not send information to the phone and I could not turn it off in order to reset, it just stayed on with the amber light on solid. Seems to be working ok after battery went dead and it finly turned off. I'll give it one more try before contacting the company. I hope it was a one time thing. (Samsung 4 phone).

Worked well with my galaxy nexus. No problems at all with syncing up.

I bought swing tip from Amazon, I went to the driving range hitted two buckets and just registered one swing that I made with the phone in my hand, apparently the device was defective. I contacted customer service using the email in the description and the form on the website, and still I haven't get an answer. That translates to bad customer service. Didn't even replied to my emails. I will look for other devices out there.

I have the HTC One and it did not link well with the sensor. Support is excellent even sending me a new sensor with new firmware. Since last update works perfectly as long as I try sensor before starting app.

My bluetooth keeps turning itself on , on my galaxy s3.hate turning it off every 3 minutes, hope they fix the bug, other then that great product

app consistently crashes after opening animation loads and the "please wait" toast is displayed. android 4.0.3, HTC sense 3.6, HTC rezound. I want to buy the hardware very much, but I can't buy it if the app doesn't run on my device! please help! I will happily update this review if tech support can update for this bug UPDATE same failure occurs on my idea tab a2190, android 4.0.4

I see the software has improved a lot since the last time I used this. Suggestions 1. Register a swing even if you are not hitting a ball. I would like to be able to see swing speed as well clubhead path. Obviously clubface info would not be available. 2. When hitting wiffle balls indoors it would be nice if the swing would still register, instead of showing "practice swing." Please consider adding these features. I really would like to know my swing speed on practice swings These additional features would add a lot of value..

SwingTIP is just what I have been looking for. I have several golf toys. But this does the job well. The video capture is very useful and very friendly to use. Coupling this with the swing trace had helped me improve many flaws and polish things I was doing well.

I bought the SwingTIP to use alongside my HTC One, but the app just keeps crashing and disconnecting with the SwingTIP device. Also, with the app installed, the Bluetooth on my phone just randomly turns itself on. Desperately needs an update, emailed the developers and got no response. Not too impressed so far.....

Every time I attempt a download it gives me an invalid package error.

I've played golf my whole life and being able to practice and have all of my swings and information sent directly to my phone is amazing I found that the metrics were on point, and the added feature of having video tips to help me improve my swing has made this a great app for me.

This tool is not very useful due to complete inaccuracy. Slow swings are registered faster than fast swings. Deliberate out-to-in swing is registered on plane or even inside out swing and even on half swings, the graphic shows that you have done a full swing. Don't even bother with sweet-spot and face angle feature as it is a complete farce. Waste of money.

First it does not indicate the distance which I will tend to think is quite important. Then the website itself does not contain too much information. But for the price tag of $129 guess you cannot ask for too much. Overall it's helpful but definitely not even close to replace trackman as a mini version.

I'm finding this really helpful. Registers every swing in just a few seconds so by the time I've reached down and tee'd another ball at the range the feedback is ready. BUT on both my nexus 7 and HTC one x after closing the app and turning Bluetooth off my Bluetooth will miraculously turn back on again a few minutes later. This continues on both devices until they have been turned on and off again. Not a massive problem just an annoyance.

Overall great product but some kinks need to bed work out. One big one I would make is ti select each iron and wedge. I also wish the dashboard available online was available on the app. Also there seems to be a break in the planes ri ght before impact.

It is very exciting to have the capability to see stats on every swing. This app is dead on. I have studied my golf swing for 19 years and I can tell you this tool is accurate. Stop guessing and start making real progress with your swing. Make sure you put the sensor on the shaft correctly for accuracy.
