Swimmo - Smarter Swimming

After using this watch and app, I gave up. Just swam 2000 meters, I got a record of 2 laps. Biggest flaw is inconsistency. Sometimes works, most time does not. I don't know why. Tech support of the app has not got the answer. Overall experience sucks.

The app is really cool. It has a modern design and it was easy to set up. Of course you need a Swimmo watch for it to work, the features are exclusive to the device. Overall a great experience.

I bought the swimmo wach but I can not conneted to my phone that is android samsung 7 it is impossible. The wach work itself great but no connection.

Been using this application for a couple of weeks now. Having a set workout everyday is a great motivator and all the organization aspects are excellent plus.

Love this app. Keeps track of what I do. All you need to do is swim and everything comes alive.

When you buy something your expectation is that it will work. It was not for me. The installation of the watch was quite easy and simple. The product is nice, but it doesn't work. Just for example: start swimming, the watch starts correctly recording after the first pause the screen turns black, no way to awake it, by tapping or rotating. Dead until he decides to wake up. Also the syncing process it lasts too much with my Samsung 7. What now? After one week I will return to the seller for a complete refund just telling that I didn't like it. One star sorry for that.

I've used the watch for a while now and as many members of my swimming club have been asking how it is I thought I would summarise my experience. A button would be nice. I find the tap-rotate functionality a little erratic. Heart rate monitor sometimes records, but that is probably to be expected from a wrist monitor. Nice feedback when it does work. The app is on the whole a nice design with good presentation and wealth of stats and is straightforward to use. The watch often misrecords the lap counts - one length is split into two or 2/3 lengths become one. Such things are to an extent inevitable.We should be able to edit the log afterwards as the feedback in the app becomes difficult to interpret when the laps are misrecorded. I like the table of lengths swam for each swim with the split for each length and HR summary, this mitigates the misrecorded laps. I would prefer the summary stats to be in a more meaningful unit than "laps" - distance would be more appropriate, especially to someone like me me who swims in two pools of very different lengths. I'd like to be able to switch the leaderboard to private as well.

It will be nice if I could group the laps per working set instead of a long list of laps. That's mean, if I pause my work and then continue until finish, I would like to see two groups of data not just one. I'm really miss the rest time from my poolmate when I'm in pause. Also, the watch should show the time lapsed while is in pause. I can't do a kind of workout like 100m, rest 10 seconds and repeat. I don't understand why do I need internet for see my records and metrics? Why don't store in the mobile the information? Are you planing to build a website for the metrics? As another say, the sync doesn't work very well. Sometimes It is smooth and another doesn't work. Regards

This is a game changer! Excellent real-time guidance and post seem analysis! The training device and app work well. Well worth the initial Kickstarter campaign wait.

Didn't​ get the watch so didn't try the app but when asked for a refund they contacted me and followed the​ matter till I got my refund and issue solved. I wish them success and their hard work should pay back

While the watch and app combination has a few flaws, the swimmo team has always been responsive to problems and suggestions. Let's face it, this is a bold move for the team to bring something to the table just for swimmers and I think that over time it will be one if the best swimming fitness devices out there. Good job.

I must say that this watch is a bit of disappointment, and I base my review on three major flaws. (i)I can't get meaningful reading of my HR while swimming, although I have the watch tight on my wrist. (ii)To setup an interval training you should be able to setup time intervals. The way it has been set up so far makes it almost useless. First, there should be at least a couple of vibrations, instead of one, and there should be a sound signal as well. It's very easy to miss a single vibration while swimming, and a sound would be a nice supplement. Furthermore, to have the watch set up to vibrate on time can be done, but the application won't let you setup an interval shorter than 10 minutes! Now, if I want to swim 20*100 on 1:20, how can I use a 10 minute time interval? I think this could be fixed by adjusting the application settings. (iii) The idea of having a watch without buttons is great, but in that case a watch should at least have an auto-pause. "Hitting" the watch during training is inconvenient. I hope this is also something that could be arranged through an application modifications. Please correct me If I'm wrong, but in this point I can't rate the watch better

App won't let me login on Android just tells me that email address is new to sign in please confirm email address. Watch won't connect to phone via Bluetooth.

Various shortcomings, the most serious of which being that (i) I have lost workouts when transferring from the watch to the app; and (ii) the watch regularly miscounts laps, and there is no way of editing the workouts via the app (and you can only access your data via the app).

Which is not saying a lot. I find it very annoying that it always starts by trying to communicate with the watch and takes ages even when the watch is near. After that it seems OK. If I bother to persevere with the watch I will update this review. If I bin the watch (which is quite likely) I will delete this review.

All bugs are fixed thanks it works very well now!

Could not get it to sync with my samsung s8 at all.

Terrible. It killed my phone until I reboot several times to delete app.

Needs stroke recognition in app. Says my Facebook account is used by another Swimmo user. About me section should have date of birth and update age automatically. Should also have a profile picture. Add more achievements.

Almost a year now and still no watch?!! Is this real ?

Congratulations Swimmo team. Looking forward to receiving my watch. Seems nuts to rate this app badly if you haven't got the watch itself. It's a partner app after all. Five stars for a properly managed Kickstarter. I'm glad to have backed a great project.

Potential bug: I couldn't connect with Google Fit which is also installed on my phone. Unlike the Facebook connection where it asks my username, when I tap Google Fit then it doesn't get past the revolving circle icon. Also, I hope you will be able to work out a solution for the Endomondo API.

Hi! I cannot test the app as it requires swimmo watch to be connected, though it is a kickstarter at present. Why it is not possible to use without the watch?
