Currently the bird search only has "blackbird" in it so you can only search that.
When the map starts there will be a test marker when it starts in sydney. The map will update to your location once you turn on gps and give it a few seconds to get your location.
BirdSpot aims to help you find the locations of birds in your local area by showing you the locations where other people with the app have spotted. If you see a bird, simply click 1 button and you can take a photo, write a short description of the sighting and even record sound (Coming Soon). It also comes with a database of bird data including bird calls, photos and descriptions from the BBC Nature Database.
