WRTGate Free for Android
Great for cutting the kids' devices off and monitoring Internet traffic on ddwrt. Only issue is that it never, ever connects on first opening, I always have to retry, sometimes twice, sometimes several times before I can use it . Always a lan2wan chain not found error but if I keep trying to reconnect it usually works. And often kicks me out after couple of seconds. D-Link dir 825. Scale hard to read and needs a way to change the units. Does anyone know any stock firmware apps like Asus or Linksys, do they support any feature like this?
No telnet functionality, until then, one star.
Works great
I used this in the past and it was fantastic! Upgraded my phone to a newer version of Android and it is having some problems. Emailed the maker of the app twice now and they haven't responded for weeks. Would be happy to revise my rating if I can get some support, but they seem to be non-existent. :(
Today i was analyzing some peaks in outgoing traffic and wasn't able to determine which device on my network was responsible. Dd-wrt is awesome but it left me hanging in this one. Wrtgate is the piece dd-wrt lacks: a parasite monitor with a GTFO button. Thanks for this.
Simple App that shows who is connected to my DD-WRT router - that's all, that's great. My wife and I can see if my children are surfing at night or when they are supposed to be doing homework and switch them off. It would be VERY useful if you could import/export the MAC and Device Names to a file so that you can share it amongst devices. Quite a useful App.
Great. Just add clock with turn on or off certain connection and have timer with weekdays like Google clock. Otherwise great.
Great tool. Would be nice with some more features and also wish I could change the speed measurement in the app from Bytes to Kilobytes or Megabits
Only with "root" as username is working.
Awesome
Initially I thought this was a waste of time however, now I know what it's supposed to do I think it's quite good. Very basic, but informative if you like to keep an eye on your network and what bandwidth devices are using. Please note that it only seems to monitor internet traffic, rather than LAN traffic (which would be handy for me - maybe have LAN traffic in a different colour). Also, the ability to delete old devices without resetting the whole app.
I was looking for something like this for Tomato. I thought it was worth a shot since DD-WRT and Tomato are built on OpenWRT and it worked on my N6. Initially I got an incompatible router error but before I uninstalled it, it suddenly connected and has worked great since.
It works fine on dd-wrt. But most of the features don't work open wrt or other open wrt variants like gargoyle.
Great app, how about adding overall usage statics for each station?
Instead of this complicated reserve IP and acl options it does exactly what I wanted
Connects, shows Mac addresses and Netbios names. the meters always stay at 0kbs
Very limited, only view network activity on a tiny graph that has a slightly absurd scale. Who needs Kbits/sec. Such high numbers.
Ir want more fearures this app is excellent. Make it work buffalo routers please
Thanks alot
Simple, works well, but could do so much more (i.e. too limited)--or, please, even just some more.
Won't work for routers with password access disabled in favour of rsa encryption keys. Uninstalled :(
Sadly no ssh-key support.
Updated version works.
Works great
Thanks alot
Simply put, WRGate and DD-WRT V24 a match made in geek heaven.
Connected to my linksys ddwrt router with ease. Home screen allows me to see who is connected, how much bandwidth they're using, and a one click disconnect device button.
Very useful for monitoring network activity when dealing with unruly teenagers ;)
Thanks for writing this app.. amazing stuff.
Control. Easy setup. Many thanks for this.
Everything works as described. Nice app.
Love this app and the ability to rename devices, easiest way to tell if my son is running torrents while im trying to game and quickly disable his connection. It would be nice to have a disable timer, to say disable a device for an hour or so... Also an option to reboot the router, shouldnt be hard to implement since the command is simply reboot. Would pay for an ad free version with these features in an instant.
Impressive control capability as well as bandwidth use display. I also like the device info lookup option.
If you use a different SSH port this won't work....needs a configure setting for SSH port.
It works well for me. Nice overview of network usage and easy connect/disconnect buttons for each device.
Works awsome. Bad reviewers dont know what their doing
Nice app, functions as advertised... but could use some tweaks such as zoom (as it is tiny on a phone), sort options (ie - by client using most bandwidth, least bandwith, etc.), & ability to change rate to MB. Still a very solid app tho!!!
Needs to be able to handle ssh certificates.
For wireless monitoring and hacking.

This is a fantastic app for finding and kicking off bandwidth hogs on your network. For those struggling to set this up, please note that the SSH Login Name is *not* your router login name. It is typically "root" for most devices.
