Comic Books Collector VE

I use this app almost daily. I have a very extensive collection and it was great keeping track with CBC. The new update has erased half my collection. And the ones that are listed show up as unowned. This is unacceptable.

Restore to SD doesn't work and I'm getting "too many requests" when I try to add a bunch of issues. It also only works on WiFi and I cannot add anything while on data. I've doubled checked the settings. The search that used to be on top for finding things in My Collection disappears and doesn't work. Awaiting an update to address this. I've been using this app for years.

Lost everything I did over last vouple years. Shoulda paid for a better program.

Seems to get fixed then break again. Can't find comic series, however did manage to successfully scan deadpool. Now every bar code I scan comes up with deadpool. This used to be a really good app but now keeps breaking more and more with each update.

How do you find the new Superman title, should be simple paid for app but doesn't work

I searched for Batman. Apparently he doesn't exist.

Searching an issue when the numbers are all out of order gets irritating. I spend half the time restarting the app trying to get it to work. Also a nice feature would be the ability to search my collection by artist, writer, etc.

Has gotten better over the years but still had some small bugs.....best cataloguing app. Out there.

There's no option to add variant covers. It also force closes when you attempt to use the bar code scanner for manual entries. Other than those issues, I'm fairly satisfied with the app...

I'm still having problems with adding variants covers to my collection.

Still cannot update after 4 weeks, app closes up after 30-40% complete. Same error message. Need a fix.

I cannot do just about anything at most times with this app. It force closes every time I try to add a new volume. It also force closes close to every time I try to update my volumes. Please fix the app. If like to be able to use it.

I like that it allows export to Excel rather than a static PDF, but it would be handy to be able to add multiple copies and variant covers (unless I've missed those features!).

Crashed after adding one comic.

Originally I gave it 4 stars. The scanner almost never works and it only holds comics on on device. Also email coulsnt be sent because email full.

The only thing I need this for is to catalogue my Variants. Unfortunately, not working out for me there.

I have used this app for years and it is the best one I've ever used. If you take the time to figure out the settings, such as "own it", makes it completely worth it. So far I have over 1,200 comics logged and can't imagine using any other app for my comics. You can even back up your collection to your SD database or Google Drive. You can even export your collection to your email in spreadsheet format. Email the developer if you have any issues, they have been impressively helpful. Highly recommended.

Sometimes, the app works great. I find my comics, download them in chunks, and tediously add my variants. Other times, the app is unresponsive, stops connecting to the internet, or starts crashing repeatedly. There has been no contact between the Creator and customers, and I cannot recommend this all u til the basic usability improves.

Garbage

Bad sale; app doesn't work; garbage - DO NOT BUY THIS APP!!! IT'S A SCAM.

Was working great. But now I can't update available issues. It gets up to about 83% through the update before it restarts my phone and I have to update all over again. Does this every time. I have a galaxy s3. I'll rate 5 stars if this is fixed.

I can now add and update titles again. On the flip side... I cannot add variant covers and the app still lags, but I'm hopeful for the next update. UPDATE 10/15/15... force closes when I try to add a variant cover.

After the most recent update of the PAID version all titles added get set as READ even if the box in the settings is unchecked. Should be an easy fix.

Best comic collection app ever.

App seems to crash when adding more than one comic in succession.

Not even worth the $1.50. Eats memory. crashes all the time. When trying to add comics, half the time the catalog doesn't even show up. Such a shame.

I used to love this app... until previous updates broke the add title function and bar code search. Updates seem to make things worse each update. I can now add titles, but seems to be hit and miss getting results from search. Bar code always used to find the right title 98% of the time. Now force closes when scanning, force closes when updating so can't even add new titles! Regret paying for it when free version works better...

How to delete 1 comic? , More in-depth review after we see what the developer fixes for us

This app was not working properly for some time, could not look up comics, and performance got laggy. I emailed him, he asked for exact problem, which I provided. The developer got an update out that evening, and now it works! This us the best comic app I've seen, and developer works with you - fantastic!

Used to love the app recent updates just broke the app

Really wanted this to work but can't even use it, it just keeps crashing on Samsung Galaxy s6.

If I can backup database now I will give more stars...Newest update is garbage, loved app until latest update...

Worked, then it didn't. Updated and needed a Comic Vine key. Updated and it worked again. Then, as usual, it stopped working. No reply from the developers. Finally, after months and months with no response and no activity to their facebook page, another update. Don't bother. Take the time and make your own database using Google sheets and Google Drive.

This app has been broken for months. It used to be amazing but gets a little more broken with each update.

After trying about ten different comic collection apps, this one is the clear standout, even surpassing the spendier CLZ Comics. Highly recommend. Much prefer the old icon to the new one, though. I guess the idea is to emulate Material Design throughout, but let's not completely jump the shark about it.

Love this app, great for when I can't remember what issues I have when I go to the comic shop.
