SwannEye HD for Android
The Pan & Tilt camera works perfectly but the remote viewing app hasn't been updated and won't download to the latest LG cellphone, the G5. I've comunicated this to Swann by e-mail and by phone but they don't seem to care and haven't done anything about it. LG owners, stay away from Swann products.
Swann devices, app, and customer service is garbage. The cameras won't open, and when they do they have a ton of static. Calling customer service takes 20+ min for an agent. I've timed it. The fastest they've picked up was 18 min. Overall a frustrating experience.
App works very infrequently. Maybe 1 put of every twenty tries. Gets stuck on advertisement page and will not show camera view. Camera is fine app is garbage. Hey swank why don't you hire tech people to fix this.
Why would anyone buy from Swann. Suddenly the user name and password I have been using no longer works on their server, and even entering password reset just produces a web error. Basically I have been stolen from - and am left with a piece of expensive junk. There is nowhere on the website to make enquiries. Buer beware - AVOID ALL SWANN CAMERAS.
Sound and no picture then the app closes. Very disappointed as only purchased so i could view when i was out. Nothing but continual problems. Never buy another swann product
Has been working great for months now can't even log in via app or Web. This needs to be fixed. Update: The cameras disconnect from the server for days on end then suddenly reconnect. The Android app is useless. It may connect 1 in 10 times but usually just times out. I wish i hadn't spent so much money on these cameras.
App is crap!!! Can't connect to camera unless I am on the same wifi network as the camera. Useless. Good luck getting it to connect at all..takes me multiple tries. I will never purchase another swann product!!!!
Doesn't work on Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (3g or 4g). Only works on wi fi but not on 3g . I have checked on iPhone and Galaxy s2 and works fine. Please consider this problem for the next update. Hopefully won't be next year!
Easy to setup but only connects 1 in 30 times. Also it will not send me notifications and that's why I bought that camera! VERY FRUSTRATING
If you're looking for an app that works infrequently then this is definitely for you. Quality of data connection is not the problem; even with the camera hardwired and the phone on an excellent Wi-Fi or 4G connection, the probability of this app working is akin to matching three numbers in The National Lottery, minus the thrill of a cash payout. If you are lucky enough to be able to view the live feed or a recorded video, you can be guaranteed that the app will crash and freeze your device in no time.
Will occasionally work if you are on the same network as the camera, but never seems to work on 4g or other WiFi access. I expected better from Swann. Their lack of a fix speaks to their decline in quality. Tried on Droid Maxx and Droid Turbo with no luck
I had to remove my battery the second time I loaded the app. Home and power buttons wouldn't even respond. After ten separate logins I've only successfully had the app work twice without crashing, locking up or not loading at all. Now it won't recognize my username or password and the password reset button in the app doesn't work. Useless.
If I could give it ZERO stars, I would. Not only doesn't this work (I'm currently on holiday and the app won't connect), BUT swann don't seem to be ihterested in sorting out aftersales problems. They just want to sell you an ill conceived IP camera and software.
Im very tech savy and usually have no problem with things like this. I have been trying to get this thing stable all day. Been on tech support 4 times today with different issues each time. The signal strength is horrible it constantly drops out even though the camera is only 20 feet from the router. It shows that I am connected to the camera but I've been trying to connect to it again for an hour. System is a piece of junk stay away. If I could give it less than one star I would . It will be going back
'Timeouts' are a regular occurrence. No video, even though you're getting some signal as it is allegedly taking photos and such. One moment it'll work, next it doesn't, from the same position with good phone signal.
Very slow app, slow to connect, has ads that appear over your live video feeds (ironically advertising the camera you're trying to use). Not to mention that once you manage to connect, zooming is near impossible without it thinking you're trying to move the camera. Most other camera companies give you an up and a port to connect to, but swann lock you out and force this software on you. If you're going to do that , your software better be good.
Sometimes times out on 3g otherwise good. Notifications work but would like to access more than last ten recordings remotely. Picture and sound quality are good. Overall a good app that works well on S4.
This app used to work beautifully while not on WIFI. Now that I have 4GLTE the ADS445 no longer works unless it's on WIFI. I have a very expensive useless IP camera now. Way past warranty. I'm truly heartbroken. I want to view while away from the home.Swann, please fix this app and make it supreme again. Thanks Galaxy S4
Using this p.o.s. across both strong wifi and hard wired connections, video still keeps freezing after about 10 seconds usage, if it loads up at all. My recommendation is to avoid this product at all costs!!
Fix your stupid app!! Most unreliable application that loads 1 out of 10 times at best. I bought this to replace an eBay purchase from China which did a much better job at 1/3rd of the price.
Well, by now I guess everybody's figured out that the Cloud Server for this product is down and most likely won't be coming back anytime soon. Thanks Swann, for making a piece of junk that I spent a lot of money on. At least give us the URL for the rtsp on the camera so we can make it work with iSpy, but holes!
Crap, works once in a blue moon othertimes it doesnt connect or load, app goes blank sometimes on opening, most annoying app yet. Rubbish for swann tried to connect to my current set up on viewlink but no luck.
Having looked at remote devices before I was a little nervous buying the camera,however, it was the easiest installation EVER. The app works fine although the better the internet connection, the better the response of the camera. I haven't had any of the problems other reviewers have had and continue to be impressed.
If you can get it too work its slow and poor quality
Never recorded not 1 video, or notified me of people breaking in my car, dont waste your time or money.... they dont even care to fix their cheaply made apps
As long as you follow the correct installation, you'll have no problem using this app. Can't understand the bad reviews. Thank you Swann team!
Application refused to open camera if not connected to WiFi network. Cannot get motion trigger recording to work in app or Desktop software. Cannot get Alarm notifications to work on my android mobile. Motion events cannot be stored on pc only on Camera memory card. MOTION EVENTS CAN ONLY BE A MAXIMUM OF 10 seconds after trigger! I find this app as well as the Swann desktop software a big let down. It is a buggy and shortcoming experience. I expected so much more after all the money I spent on their hardware. It lacks the almost basic functionality and the bit that is left I found a hassle to work with. Certain important functions completely fail to work. I will now have to return my ADS-445 SwannEye HD Pan & Tilt All-in-One IP Network Camera because this hardware can only be accessed over Swann software, I cannot use it.
Its not eve but the fact that the camera product and everything is total crap within an hour of plugging it in getting it set up and having it work for maybe 45 minutes it goes offline so I reset everything plug it back in reset test check record everything seems to work ok within an hour of leaving my house the camera and everything goes offline this product again is totally unreliable should never be even considered for home security because quite frankly if it won't work for more than an hour its crap.
I'm happy with camera and the fact I can log in from my phone with this software. It works fine when I view the camera via WiFi. Can record, pan and use all functions but if I try connecting over the network the app locks my phone. I can see the vision from the camera but can't do anything. It locks the phone up in such a way I have to remove my battery.

Besides technical issues such as unable to login, connection fail, one obvious defect is with the touch to pan and tilt. It is too sensitive and will pan and tilt to a random direction every time you give a touch at a single point on the screen, making it very scary to use.
Can't register using QR scan and there's no instructions as to what info should be used to register. Everything else seems fine but I can't view the video or know if its recording
The camera is getting video saved but the app us garbage. Won't load video after 2 days. Uninstalled & reinstalled also tried on a different phone. I'm guessing your app fir iPhone is better. Android sucks!
The thing about this app and cam is that it catches everything b4 and after the thief is gone. Buy something else
Works only for short time then goes offline. Totally useless as a security app/camera system. It should include a 'reset' command or something. It's stupid if you have to manually restart the camera (power on/off) just to get this bloody thing to work. Waste of money!
I spoke to three different people about the WPS button on the ADS-445 Pan & Tilt asking whether it would sync up with a mobile broadband router with WPS capability and their response was "Yes, plug it into your home ADSL router with the ethernet cord." I don't have a home ADSL router and have researched many prepaid 4g Mobile Broadband Routers that offer the same features of a normal ADSL router but tech support can't tell me if it will work. You built the flipping camera, how did you design it to work?

This is a very good app + camera. connect camera to router via Lan cable. install app on phone + register. log in your account. go to device. add device and enter serial number ( serial number is under camera ) or scan QR code. Now your connected via Lan. activate wifi by entering swanneye app. on login screen do not login. in the right bottom of screen u will see settings (enter settings). u will see your device name. now press on your name go to wifi setting and enter your router password. wifi will work.
Would rate this higher as it does record and has caught video of theif in my garden but I didn't get a notification to let me know it was happening. Please fix and I'll rate higher

the phone app was ok, it worked. it worked even though the camera os is a pile of doo doo for the amount paid for it. the recent update i did for the app no longer opens the video. it says it can see it, but times out during loading. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app as have had issues like that in the past with other app updates where updating made it inoperable for some reason. Well, I tried it, it still doesn't work...just a waste of space on my phone.
