There are serious bugs, support unresponsive. the developers are unreachable. find another tts app.

C70%
by C####:

Does the job, more or less, but frequent errors. It doesn't inspire confidence when even in the built-in example sentence "Misaki" 美咲 pronounces "her" own name as"Yoshisaki." Dtalker is generally more accurate. Downgraded a further star on 15.1.15 as there is evidently no dev interest in improving the app. Google text-to-speech is both free and better than this, although it ignores pitch accent, unlike Dtalker.

Does the job, more or less, but frequent errors. It doesn't inspire confidence when in the built-in example sentence "Misaki" 美咲 pronounces her own name as"Yoshisaki." Dtalker seems to be generally more accurate, but the actual voice is less natural.

It mispronounces "na" and says "nom". Sounds at times like Chinese and not Japanese. Basic phonetic mispronunciations or error in recording, causes mispronounced words. Speed control barely slows voice down. Very slow download of Japanese file, and from wireless connection. Company appears not to know what's it doing, besides trying to trick people out of money.

Y70%
by Y####:

Its very good, but major pernocation of words need to be addressed instead of spelling the word out in half english & half japanese. Please fix asap

failed to download the data file despite 28 attempts which included rebooting, different ROMs including stock. DHD rooted

S70%

Very disappointed. Didn't find out until after I purchased that it didn't support Japanese spoken language, so I had to purchase separate SVOX app.

Now using Android 2.3.4.08.605, Webkit 533.1, App. V3.1.0

C70%

Works awesome together with CueBrain for practicing my vocabulary!

U70%
by U####:

Good but language could be more natural. For the price it is a mediocre deal...better than nothing. Will improve rating as quality increases.

M70%
by M####:

It is a shame that the SVOX line/series of tts hasn't had more success. When used correctly they're GR8! :-) ! HTC Evo

U70%
by U####:

Decent voice, however it is not automatically selected when you need it.

U70%
by U####:

Good, but it would be nice if the speech engine would automatically select the correct language when reading.

U70%
by U####:

Not bad, wish there was a demo before buying like your other languages. Some of the words sound crackled if played at normal speed.

U70%
by U####:

It didn't work how i thought, it says EVERYTHING tells me when I'm at home screen, if I'm in settings, evertime i type a letter, on web pages. I wanted this for voice apps like good morning, not to tell me what I'm doing every two seconds. I want a refund jf there is no way to fix this.
