About Volume Control Widget

A-Volume Widget allows instantly see on your desktop and quickly adjust the current volume levels of alarm, media player, voice call, ringer and system notifications. Widget displays the current volume levels, regardless of the way in which they were set. The minimal widget size is only 1х1. Widget is resizable - you can increase it's size if you want (for Android 3.1+ only! Long touch on the widget and change it's size).
Click on the Widget and set the volume level of any channel(s) in one touch! Vibrate mode setting supported. Quick open, set and close.

In "Settings" you can choose audio channels to display in the widget and channels to adjust.
Also you can adjust border, hue and transparency of the widget's background to fit well your home screen theme.

Install it from the market, then install manually the widget to the desired location of the desktop in standard way for your device:
- Long touch on your home screen or click the menu button;
- Choose "Add";
- Click on "Widgets";
- Choose the A-Volume Widget.

If A-Volume Widget is not in the widgets list:
- Make sure that it's installed into internal memory! Widgets do not work from SD card;
- Restart your system.

NOTE: Starting from Android version 4.1.x (Jelly Bean) in the standard firmware channels "System", "Alert" and "Ringer" are tied. They can not be set separately. This is not the reason to blame the program. Just hide channels "System" and "Notifications" in the settings. At the same time, in some versions of firmware (e.g., in firmware Samsung), these channels are NOT tied. Therefore the program have the opportunity to display and to adjust them separately, if possible.

Excellent application. Less space and works very well. Can't understand why the rating is 4.3 it should be higher somewhere around 4.6 - 4.8. Must have application. Remember it's a part of widget so one needs to add it. Once installed forget about using the settings button for volume control. The smart widget will do everything. Nice work done and best feature no ads ????????????

I have checked out at least 15 different ringer toggle apps. Some were widgets and others were actual apps. Some required accessing various permissions, which I don't understand. Others required no permissions. I give this app a 5-star rating and the best one out of all that I had researched. It is simple in its operation, does not require any permissions and is very easy to use. Highly recommend.

My voice call was so poor that I could not hear anyone , nor they me on my imo s. Mobile It is now loud and clear under normal conditions. Many thanks. G Hopkin

It's nice to have but doesn't provide any micro adjustments. My device is too loud and this did not solve it. It will take built-in settings only. Very convenient for adjusting levels prior to opening media apps and games.

I have been using this app for a long time and have loved it until something changed. You can no longer adjust the notification volume separate of the ringtone volume! They both adjust together. My ringtone is usually pretty loud and I keep my notifications lower and now I can't do that. Can this be fixed?

R70%
by R####:

Will leave alarm /call volume untouched. Still need to drag 7 (!) sliders to mute all Edit: nonsense even worse: not a widget, but a shortcut to an app.

Although this features is already present in all phone but this app is helpful when your volume key is not working.. I would suggest to use this app instead of wasting around Rs. 300-500 in its repairs

I'm not sure if it's actually altering the volumes on my low-grade type phone. Also, 2 of the volume options are inter-connected, they move simotaineusly.

R70%
by R####:

Widget does not reflect the sound profile change when I make the change via the notification pull-down. It's kind of useless when I pull-down and silence my phone, then look at the widget and it shows all volumes still at max. Hey! What do you know! The guys at Volume Control + actually know how to create a widget!

R70%
by R####:

An excellent app, but only one thing I dislike, is the pop up that appears everything I select a different option. I. E. From normal to vibrate a pop up appears telling me I can manually select etc etc.......... From silent to vibrate another pop up.. I don't need to be reminded every time I select something. Plus I can't find anywhere to disable the pop up. Still using the app though as it is a great app.

Love the app! Works great! Took a bit to figure out that if you add a "shortcut" to the home screen, it shows up as the face of the app, but if you add it as a widget, you get the actual volume levels showing.

The System Notifications sounds were greyed out and didn't work on my Kindle Fire, even after restarts. Installed this app and it got everything working. So relieved that I didn't have to do a complete system restore.

This is a fantastic volume widget! After trying it out and seeing some of the weird critical reviews, there is just no pleasing everyone. The developer did a great job.

S70%

Volume control widget allowed me to adjust my ringer volume when it had become disabled somehow in the settings of my tablet running Cyanogenmod 13 ( Android 6 marshmallow). It gives complete direct access to all volume controls on my device. Because this one doesn't come with a control in the notification area I also use "volume in notification" app which seems compatible with this one. About a year ago John Smith posted a review here on this app suggesting that it be possible to adjust the volume without sending a tone at the end of each adjustment. That would be really good to have and it seems technically possible since other volume control apps I tried don't make the tone.

This is the first app I've rated and I actually felt compelled to! All previous sound widgets have worked but could've had something else. This is perfect. Looks amazing too, not some hideous widget on your screen. I wish we could search by developer in Google Play! Does serkun do any more? :-)

Someone said "All phones have this already" well, mine doesn't for n notifications and is difficult to get to for other volumes. Phone made by BLU. Nice battery life but poor features or feature placement. Was not able to get different ring tones for people till I downloaded Zedge.

I'm new to this widget, but so far I love it! It's exactly what I had been looking for. And guys, for those of you who complain that this isn't a widget, what you are actually seeing on your screen is just the app icon. The widget has to be manually installed from your widgets list. It's highly customizable and resizable as well. Great!

When I put it on vibrate or silent, only notifications, system, & ringer go to vibrate. The others still have volume, though they are set to adjust. If I set it to be on vib or silent, I need it all on vib or silent in the way Volume Control+ does when it is working properly (which it currently isn't).

D70%
by D####:

Great app (note 4 edge). Easy to silence pesky notifications and still allow calls to ring with the swipe of a finger. Not sure if it's possible, but if the widget could reflect the actual settings, it would be a cherry on top. If it's doable, add the customized appearance settings with it in a pro version for a buck or donation.

I used to miss many calls due to mishandling the volume buttons. I tried with several apps and removed. This one is an opt one atlast. Reasons: 1. Colourful one 2. Understandable Icons 3. All 6 types of volumes in one widget 4. Customizable too. Thanks a lot to devs.

I don't usually "do" reviews, but I gotta say, this one is more than worthy of my time and effort! I just upgraded to an S5 and threw an otter box on it because I'll never be able to afford another one. The downside? Lil old me can barely work the side buttons on this big ole phone!! This widget has saved me from future arthritis. I do agree with the suggestion in an earlier review about adding this to the notification bar, but I'm not taking any points off for wishes and dreams. Thanks, my new BFF!!

This worked perfectly on LG G3 running Android 4.4.1. I installed it on LG G4 running Android 5.1 and it is buggy - silent mode doesn't work, it won't let you manually set volume to 0 unless you use vibrate mode, etc. I am uninstalling.

I have one of the Nexus 5 with the in-call earpiece problem. I was always saying "Sorry?", or "Pardon?". and even "I can't hear you, can you shout please" on occasions. I installed this widget and' hey presto', I can hear the callers again! I don't know how it does it, and I don't care; I'm just glad to be able to hear people again.

W70%
by W####:

Doesn't do anything for notifications. Half the time the widget shows the level half way and it's really still all the way. I'm all for apps to help you be lazy, but this is actually more work than just using the volume keys.

Since my Lollipop update, there's no quick way to access all the volumes! This app gives me back the ability I had with KitKat.

D70%

The "widget" does nothing on its own. It simply brings up a larger one that does the real volume adjustment. Just install the program and don't bother with the widget. The program icon does the same thing as the widget.

Light app, no ads, simple!!.. So I give my first rating. Thanks for this app. Solved the in-call volume problem wit my BLU studio 6 HD

My alarm sound keeps adjusting on it's own. Sometimes it will be completely silent, other times at half volume and sometimes full volume. It's a little frustrating since I use my phone as the alarm that I wake up to work with.

This app was among the first that came up on a search for volume WIDGETS. This app doesn't have a widget. You can set a 'widget' to open the app. Why do that when you can just have the app itself on the screen? Uninstalled.

D70%

I had a volume button sticking that would cause my alerts to go silent. I pulled the button out and use this widget instead. Works perfect!

I installed this on my. LG G Stylo (LGSM632). It appears to work just fine; all of the slide controls are smooth. However, my system doesn't recognize it in widgets or in my systems area where Apps are.I was thinking maybe the launcher I am using is causing it; I have Go Launcher Z installed. Up on the download the widget popped up on my home screen but if it gets lost I guess I would have download it again. I wish it were smaller; but hey, I think it's great; Great workThanks!!!!

However, shouldn't each one work independently? The notifications and media volume dont work independently on anybof my devices, but all of the others work great! Still.......Great job dev! :)

I like the idea of this app but all of a sudden it does not silence the volumes when I set it for silent. It has normal volume when set on silent. It will only silent when I set it for vibrate. Any suggestions?

Used this app on my HTC M8 and really liked it. Now installed on my M9 and the silent button doesn't work, only the vibrate will cancel the sound, then I have to hit silent.

NOTE: For those complaining about not having a notification volume control, you can customize the widget with whatever audio controls you want. Just click on the settins icon. My Samsung Galaxy s5 doesn't have full audio control on the home screen anymore. You only get ringtone and media volume control. This app gives me convenient full audio control and it's right on the home screen. Just one touch.

Love it,gives immediate individual control over volume for videos, text alerts,ringer volume etc without going into settings and having to hit a bunch of buttons,Lord knows why Google don't have this built into Android. Most importantly I don't have to LISTEN to stupid video adverts when getting free air strikes in Stupid Zombies, imagine this would apply to any game with pop up ads,unless you insist on having the sound effects on when killing your Elves. Or whatever.

Once you are done with the widget, it still hangs around in your recent screens list until you close it. If it was removed from this list when I deselect the widget I will rate 5 stars. Otherwise, great app!
