Armitage's Greatest Garden Plants for Android
Since I purchased this app a couple weeks ago I have not even been able to use it. Every time I click on a heading to look into things the app crashes. Every. Time. What's the deal? Using on a Nexus 6p.
Nothing on Peonies or Lily of the valley. Very disappointing.
Better than all the ones that I have come across. But like all good apps, there is always room for improvement. User input, add plants that are not covered and offline accessibility for people without data plan (me). Dr. A is awesome!
It was working great until the last update, now I can't open the app at all!
Love all his information and personal quips about the plants!
Very useful bc the author draws on his years of experience. The links to video are very helpful. I'd suggest a brief section on common weeds since I can't always identify them.
This app is an invaluable tool for designing with perennials in any zone or growing condition.
I am very much a novice at gardening and this app has helped a lot.
As good as what this list does contain, its scope is very much restricted: "Armitage's Greatest". It does not contain Campanula, Aster, Hakonechloa, Carex, Iris, Liatris, Digitalis, Hosta, Cosmos, etc. It does not claim to be comprehensive. Hessayon's 'Flower Expert', for instance, contains a lot more. The list is based on his extensive personal observations and seems authoritative. Very friendly and informative, but idiosyncratic in choice of plants. It's not a vade mecum for a trip to the nursery.
A great resource especially while at the nursery with so many plants, so much impulsivity needing to be reigned in.
What an easy app for any gardener. This app allows me to choose the best plants to buy and plant while at the garden store. Better than trying to remember or carry the book. Gives me a great tool that I can carry at all times. Thank you!
Wow...Dr Armitage has outdone himself with this wonderful plant reference app. The best I've seen anywhere. We are given insight into plants, their characteristics, growing habits and traits. Makes me want to sit with my smart phone and enjoy.
Very interesting to see how the map has changed over the last 23 years! Eye opener!

Google Pixel is my phone. The app just sits there and doesn't load. Deleted it and redownload it. No help. Don't waste your money until they fix their issues
