Divine Office for Android
We have been a ministry dedicated to bringing the Liturgy of the Hours to everyone everywhere for many years. We grew out of an RCIA Committee to become facilitators of thousands of people who pray together. I have dedicated more than 10 years in God’s service to this work. In that zeal to serve and naivety we acquired some permissions, but we are missing some key ones. We have been asked, understandably so, to close off our ministry to new people while we go through the lengthy process of acquiring permissions. For this reason, we are discounting this app for 3 days to allow our existing community and friends access, but after that we will remove it from sale. It will continue to function for as long as we permitted, but until we receive all appropriate permissions it won’t be available again for sale.

This App is an audio and text version of the official set of daily prayers from the Liturgy of the Hours of the Roman Catholic Church (Breviary). It wirelessly downloads several days of prayers at a time, without the need for synchronization or access to a computer.
For clergy required to pray the Liturgy of the Hours daily, or laity who recite the daily prayers to maintain their intimate connection with God, The Divine Office App is designed to make praying more convenient, enjoyable, and simple enough for anyone to use. It automatically downloads the appropriate prayers for each office, every day of the year, including Solemnities, Feasts, and Memorials.
The Divine Office App uses the current four-volume Liturgy of the Hours with a bias towards the USA calendar. This version is the official prayer book of the Catholic Church, however, it is suitable for those following Eastern Orthodox and Anglican traditions.
When St. Paul advises us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to “pray without ceasing,” he intends more than simply bowing our heads and speaking to God on a regular basis. He means for us to adopt an ongoing attitude of prayer that is a way of life and a constant intercession for the salvation of all mankind.
As the mystical body of Christ prays in unison, it fulfills what Paul advises as Christian conduct, that believers at once pray for the good of themselves, their neighbors, and the world. In this way, prayers become liturgy, a way to fulfill our divine calling and a practical approach for addressing the suffering of the world.

I love being able to listen to the office and pray along with it. The variety is very good. Everything is good except for one of the speakers. She is almost sexual in her presentation. We are praying and it does not need to be so emotional. It takes away from my prayer. It may not concern others, though.
This app is wonderful, theres no question that its one of the most useful tools for Catholic Laity. However, I would prefer that they were more careful with the voices. Some days it sounds like women with overly emotive tones and on others its very pompus English people who sound machine like. The voices do not make me feel comfortable and on many days I need to just switch it off. I would prefer readings without personal feelings entering (or being shut out). It used to be ok without acting.
This is a very good application. I love it so much. Thanks to the team for the good and hard work. God bless you abundantly
As a layperson, I started with the traditional books and was that a hassle. I later found a free website that had their own translations because of copy-write problems. They were okay! But, finding the App for the Andriod with the audio was a gift really from God, and the best $14.99 I ever spent. Like a lot of music e.g.opera,the hymns are difficult to follow. Also, some of the readers could pick up the tempo, otherwise, a path to salvation...Thanks!
I have said the Divine Office for more than 15 years half of that time has been with this app. This app has made it much easier to say the hours thank you
I used to love this app but it has been unreachable on and off for several weeks already... have been giving feedback reports but nothing seems to be happening. As it is now, it is useless since nothing has been cached for sometime and it simply won't download
Audio often doesn't work
Been using this for three years in the website and now I have the app in my Android phone. The quality of the hymns and the chants are top notch and you can even purchase them. Wanted to donate but don"t know how.
This is the best Breviary app out there and I was surprised that I got it for free from the Playstore.
This is a most excellent program and, in my opinion, well worth the price with the audio and printed text. Each time it updates though, it doesn't keep the settings that I'd set up before. So, each update, I have to tell it not to show me on GPS and to always update. Other than that, it's outstanding.
Absolutely wonderful app. Keeps getting better.
In providing for us such a gift
Use it each day in car.
Amazing grace!
Once again, this program is getting, my GPS fix, when I turned off "share my location".
Extremely useful Catholic prayer resource. Please support. Blessings.
I love it. Please keep glorifying God.
Hallelujah
I love and use this app ALL THE TIME - for an itinerant Priest, this is super handy. One suggestion...check the audio. This weekend the antiphons were 1/2 step different than the psalm verses...really hard to listen to. Also, sometimes the diction of the singers is poor (e.g. Wrong pronunciation of "r's"). But at the same time, I know of nothing better...
I was able to actually load it today! What a relief! I truly love this Divine Office App. It makes doing this prayer much easier to do. I love the audio ..makes you feel like you are part of a group at church.
I really like this app :) thanks. Godbless to you.
I have had this for several years on my now,old ipad(very first one that came out.). I daily used it and then had to pay for it. Now it seems, I can't even get on it???? I'm disappointed...
Daily prayer
Great app. Love it!
Use it every day
This is one app that I use daily and frequently. It never let's me down.
Prayer of the church done with deep love of God's word. I especially appreciate the link to the father's of the Church. Ancient words that should be available to all persons of faith in our Lord.
Liturgy of the Hours. While I love the feel of a book this continuous read without page changes makes praying the prayer of the church a wonderful experience. The option of pray along adds a community feel!
If you are a serious Catholic, this app is a must

I love this app. So glad that I can finally say my prayers "in community".
I use this everyday.
Thank you for this wonderful ap. It is a blessing.
This app is perfect for using during my walks or while out kayaking.
Good app...daily prayers
Great for on the go. Slightly different wording than my 4 volume set but nothing too off putting. Seems to be missing the Psalm Prayers in the Psalmody of Morning and Evening Prayer.
The premier app for saying the breviary in today's digital world. Listening to some of the hymns is a moving experience.
Love it so worth it!
Very good app, but for some strange reason it decided not to play today

While I like the usability of the app, it all too often gets precedence of feasts wrong, resulting in an unreliable app overall. When I have contacted the developers about these errors, they say it's being worked on or there's a problem with the database, with no solutions so far.
