Good app

Had to downgrade my rating. I gave new update a few days to learn new interface. Not a fan, the older version gave me what I wanted in first view. I now find I need to jump around and interpret info needed. My request would to give me an option to select older format and it would be nice if I could track our electric car usage.

Please revert to the previous version. This update is harder to see the information. It is also less accurate concerning consumption data. Why update to a database that has incorrect info? Things were working fine before the most recent update. Now the app uses the same database as the website, which has incorrect consumption data. Data comparison Old Data: Feb 2017 Total usage 390, Solar 292, Grid 98 kWh New Data: Feb 2017 Total usage 385, Solar 292, Grid 93 kWh

I was hoping I would get something better then this for Sunpower quality. This looks like a cheap app for cheap panels like viviant! Let's have a way to monitor each panel like the installers can do and more up to date. This app looks like it's 15 years old and way outdated.

New update, same problem. Constantly logs me out during the day...the Remember Me option doesn't even work for my username!

Not very accurate. I depend on the sce website to monitor my usage and solar production. How can sce and this sunpower app have such different numbers? Shouldn't both be basically the same?

This app logs me out frequently, very frustrating. Please correct this bug!

This app started great. Then new version came out and now I can't log on. Keeps telling me to contact sunpower

Cannot see consumption as was shown to me in the demo. Have had issues with the inverter shutting down since it was installed 3 years ago. Two months ago it died and would not reset. 6 weeks to have a new inverter installed. Just checked it today and it had shut down a week ago. No phone calls from sunpower saying there was a problem. This was something I was a told in the salesman's speech, they would notify me before I knew the system was down. Not one phone call from sunpower in the 1/2 dozen times this system has gone offline.

New update sucks. Very messy design. Why break what wasn't broken?

I think the new interface is a nice change, especially the colors. The "now producing" meter looks like a speed gauge, cool. Found the graphs in the top left drop down. Easy to navigate, not sure why so many dislike it. To each their own, 5 stars.

Buggy. Have to restart my S5 running Android marshmallow 6.01 to kill the app. Doesn't remember username and password even though the box is ticked. Come on, I've been writing SW for more than 50 years. These are rank amateur mistakes.

Not as good as the website, but has the basics (although a widget would of been cool). For full details, I bookmarked the website and use the browser's "request desktop site" menu option.

The update isn't as bad as people are saying but still pretty useless without showing how much power you are using.

New version is slow and for the last week production is no longer correct.

Keep having to log in. This app needs to remember login and password. Generated solar power is not sensitive personal information, and should not be treated as such.

Please hire someone from solar city ASAP to work on this outdated app. Thank you.

The application works but offers little information. Also looks and feels clunky. Needs a makeover.

Does not monitor consumption. Very limited in what it can do. Considering that Sunpower is the Tesla of the industry this app is disappointing

The app keeps signing me out, I have to sign back in multiple times per day. This is especially annoying on mobile and is a very simple fix. Please respond to the many complaints on this issue and fix this.

After weeks of analyzing my data on the app, comparing it with my utility providers data, speaking with my installer and Sunpower, it was concluded that the software for the app is not up to date and that it is not accurately reporting proper usage with my electric panel. Until SunPower updates the software for this app, this app is useless. Apparently Sunpower is working on an update... but it's really unknown if they are or not.

The app needs to provide more information. what's coming off the grid, what your consumption is, and what your solar is providing. For being a new system Equinox. I expected more from the app. The pictures are misleading. Needs major update

Many of the reviews are people complaining about not being able to see household usage. This is not a limitation of the app, but from the install. Make sure your installer programs your system to see usage, then the app will show your usage. However, there is a problem with the app where you cannot exit the app with the back button. I have to press the home button and the end the process to exit the app.

While the app shows information, the performance of the SunPower systems to supply that information in a reasonable manner is at the very best amateur. My device screen times out before SunPower can return data back on most requests. Also, the mobile app experience is vastly different than the web dashboard, which is only confusing as SunPower has applied mobile best practices to their desktop web interface when they are not appropriate and neglected them on their mobile experience. I look forward to an update to the SunPower platform where performance is respectable.

The Demo screenshot are deceptive because the actual app is missing a lot of features for the app to be useful. The app needs to be updated badly.

Great app

The demo version completely misleading. Be sure and ask your solar company before purchasing and install if you can have consumption monitoring because if not, this app is pointless. I was told to view demo, then only to find out after install, my installed Sunpower (by The Solar Company) can't monitor consumption thus not see the true real benefit I am getting day by day. This was pretty disappointning.

Addressed all my issues. Previous review- Horrible pain in the a$$. We spent some serious bucks on our sunpower system (a good way to invest a little inheritance money BTW thanks Joe). What a hassle to check on it. Enter my long password *every* time!? Seriously? The website it's even worse- nonbookmarkable flash. These people need someone who understands web infrastructure rather than just letting the graphic artists run wild. and leaving it without update/ignoring all feedback for almost two years.
