About Summer Lodge Devon B&B Hotel
Summer Lodge is a friendly B&B, with en-suite accommodation and luxurious touches. Situated approximately three miles west of Axminster, close to the ancient village of Dalwood, it nestles in the Black Down Hills, surrounded by tranquil Devon countryside. It is superbly located and offers easy access to some of the principal attractions n Devon and Dorset, including historic Lyme Regis (only six miles away) and the magnificent World Heritage Jurassic Coast, with its sandy and pebble beaches. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage Local Produce Store & Canteen and River Cottage HQ are nearby, and the local pub is only two fields away!
Summer Lodge Bed and Breakfast is a family home situated in two acres of grounds and surrounded by beautiful Devon scenery.
Guests are welcome to explore the gardens and to make use of our hard tennis court. Inside the house we have a comfortable guest sitting room, with DVD player, DVD’s and games. Free Wifi access.

Using local produce when ever possible our breakfasts are a leisurely experience -
Your morning will begin with :-
Fruit Juice, Fresh fruit and Handmade yoghurt
A choice of cereals including homemade granola and museli
Full English breakfast, Eggs, Bacon, mushrooms, sausage and fresh tomatoes.
A selection of mixed bread toast, croissants and pastries
Tea and freshly brewed coffee – as much as you can drink
In addition to the above we have a daily special, which consists of dishes taken from the Summer Lodge Breakfast Club menu.

For those interested in walking, there’s a public footpath adjacent to Summer Lodge B&B, which leads to the ancient village of Dalwood and its picturesque church. Other activities in the area include: beach and coastal cliff walks; bird watching; boating; cycling; fishing; golf; horse riding; jogging; swimming and tennis. Guests with gastronomic interests may wish to visit one of the local markets, sample a Devon Cream Tea, or visit the restaurant in Dalwood’s 12th century Tuckers Arms Inn, which specialises in fresh fish and game, including locally caught crab, lobster and lemon sole. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Local Produce Store & Canteen and River Cottage HQ is close by. Hix Oyster House which overlooks Lyme Bay is only a short drive away from Summer Lodge and is the perfect way to spend a summer evening.
