Thistlebend is a mentoring and discipleship ministry for women and their families, teaching them how to live the gospel of Jesus Christ amid the thorns and thistles of sin in the world and in their hearts.

Our goal is the gospel, not a happy life and not a successful
life, but to live because Jesus died.

Thistlebend exists to: CALL, EQUIP, and ENCOURAGE women to know Jesus and follow Him in radical obedience to “be Jesus” in and beyond their world.

CALLING women to live the gospel:

* to repent of sin
* to die to self and pick up their cross
* to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness
* to exalt Christ above ALL else
* to follow Jesus in radical obedience

EQUIPPING women to live the gospel:

* through SALT discipleship, built upon four pillars of Submission, Accountability, Laboring, and Transparency
* through intensive, intentional, biblical study and shepherding
* through accountability groups designed to promote transparency, confession, repentance, and radical obedience to God and His Word
* through ASCENT Training to discover how to walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh

ENCOURAGING women to live the gospel:

* to love the Lord, their husband, and their children
* to submit to the Lord, their husband, and the leadership of their local church
* to teach what they are learning to their children
* to share the gospel without fear and disciple others
* to serve beyond the comfort of their home and sphere

Our mission is accomplished through:

* SALT discipleship studies and accountability groups for women
* SALT discipleship seminars and retreats for women and women’s leadership teams
* ASCENT discipleship training seminars
* Marriage Adventure studies and retreats
* Quiet eMoments
* Daily radio broadcast on WPTJ 90.7 The Wind
* Going Beyond the Gate outreach ministry
* Children’s Bible Workshop
