Contacts CardDAV Sync for Android
It is much more flexible than a simple Android sync adaptor, and extends the number of syncing options available.
Features
-------------
- Any number of sync routes may be configured to link any local account with any server.
- Mirroring / two-way syncing.
- Mirror from other 3rd-party contacts accounts on your device, e.g. Google.
- Mirror to multiple servers from the same local account.
- Custom sync actions.
- Optional Integration with the Android sync adaptor framework.
- Remote address book auto-detection.
- Smart merging of contacts.
- TLS/SSL support, including server key pinning and self-signed certificates.
- Restrict syncing according to network, e.g. only sync to home / work-based servers when your device is connected to particular SSIDs.
- Reads Apple address book labels (X-ABLABEL) and groups.
- Detailed logging for troubleshooting; send log (e.g. via email) capability.
Currently tested with:
- ownCloud
- iCloud (URL-style image links not yet supported)
- AtmailCloud
Important Notes
-----------------------
- The app can only behave like a sync adaptor for Sync2Cloud contacts accounts.
- On certain devices, the built-in contacts app does not support full editing of non-Google accounts. Please use another contacts app or editor on these devices.
- Also on some devices, the default behaviour for the contacts app is not to show contacts for newly created accounts - please enable this in display options or accounts to display, from within your contacts app.
- Writing Apple style groups is not yet supported (but reading them is).
- Syncing with Google CardDAV servers is not currently supported.
Battery drain. Even when doing only local-to-remote syncs, it performs a sync at set intervals instead of only when a contact changed. Also old-style, spartan interface.
