Quik - Free Video Editor

I thought this was a good editor at first. It was great and working good. In the editor, the video looked perfect. I was making a video for my mom's birthday and I was quite happy with it. So I pressed save and I was thinking about how I would put a 5 star review because everything was going PERFECT. But then of course when I played the video in Google Photos or was black! The music was fine but the back ground photos were just not there. It was black. I'm so disappointed because this would have been a really good editor. And now I have to find a new one so I can restart and make a video again.

UPDATE: It works better. No more glitches. Anf the "dandy" effect is perfect for the silent film look. On the App, dandy effect video looks amazing..but when I go to upload to a diff social media site the text I added is too dark and dimmed..hardly readable! Wondering why, bcuz when I play the vid in the quik app it's perfect.. Letters are bright and visible. Any idea why this is happening? I've attempted several times..with the we end result. I'd like to send you s screen shot to better understand. It works great the first time then I just stops functioning correctly. I have to uninstall then reinstall just to get one vid finished. I really like the concept if only it didn't have these glitches.

Horrible! I can't hear what I'm saying in my video, it was auto clipped from 7 minutes down to 2 minutes, and I'm trying to figure out what's so wonderful about a video editing app where more than half of my video and every single word I said is deleted. I do video blogs, so this app is 100% useless to me and was a waste of my time to even try.

This new update is horrible so many glitches. Video comes out great while editing but the moment you create and submit for sharing it's something completely different. Seriously dissatisfied with this app. I really want the previous version.

This app is flippen awesome except... it sucks how you cant have the sound from the original videos. You have to either have no sound, one of their tracks, or one that youve bought. Its pretty stupid in my opinion but if they change this, i would give it a 5 star

I really loved the app at first, then it started saving my videos with partial frames, with black (or blank) frames in between. I am so disappointed! I've contacted them. If they provide a solution, I'll come back to revise my review.

Can this app stop making the video quality go down? And the frames go down? A gopro has options for more fps so may this app handle it? My 1080p goes to 720p then my 48 fps goes to lag. Worse than 30 fps. Can you creaters change this please? We all want nice quality videos

It's a terrific editor, the love it gets is deserved. All the things that hooked me into making this my main editor to use: themes are awesome, it basically NEVER crashes, I haven't come across any glitches, but the real thing that got me is that there is no watermark. Sold!

Forget about uploading and editing your audio clips. The software sucks for that. Only thing it's good for is using it for graphics. Customer support lags, takes them several days to respond and forget trying to explain to them why Quik messed up your audio clips.

The auto-edits remove most of the clip duration, making my Vids COMPLETELY useless. I am a YT guy u know. Other than that, nyc work.

Just add one thing pictures when we make video of still pictures it's should be turn into b/w to color... It will be look good and more effective. Thank you

This my first time ever editing a video. So it took me about 30mins or so to get familiar with the way the app works. Once I figured it out, it was very useful.. I like this app

The actual videos are great. But the app constantly shows errors when trying to save. Sometimes a couple of goes. Sometimes so often you give up trying.

Useless, as you can only use the music that the app provides, and the music or sound that is on the video or clip dissappear, wanted to trim and edit a clip to send to family, but wanted the commentary on the clip, but there is no way to do that, and no way to really trim the video, don't waste your time downloading as it is not all that is described

Once you figure it out, it is an awesome tool, paired with a good screen recorder. Took me a little while to learn how to turn off the smart cuts feature. That is annoying.

Cool app but finding it impossible to upload a file to share so it's useless. It's only 27Mb and tried it on dozens of super fast wifi connections. Pretty poor from what should be a top of the line company.

Can I know how to save the video into gallery or device and while uploading to YouTube also showing errors .Is anyone there to help me out.

This app just saved my life. I had to make a video for my post wedding reception and I was able to do it in 20 minutes ^_^ thanks guys

Simple the best video editing apps I tried this far. There are some minor things setbacks, but I don't mind.

You asked me to tell you what I think. Well, usually all day I think about sex. That's precisely what I need this editor for. Thank you for all your hard work. It will allow me to edit all of my "Hard" work. Cheers ;)

The app is awesome. Let's you be creative with an easy process. I'm just requesting that the app gives you an option of where to save the videos. I would like to save it to my SD card but that option isn't available.

I think the developer of this app needs to fix his brains 1st. I spent 5 hours creating a video and at the end of saving the video it got stuck to 89 % . how u ppl be such brainless characters to develop such annoying app.. If at all I had to use a abusive language for u guys it would have been the most bad one... So please fix your brains so u don't get such ideas to develop app like this.... IDIOTS...

This app is so good. But mingle style save output has broken on my device. Please fix this.

This app is great! I love the options and the versatility. Great sounds and music added with my own style of pictures makes it easy and fun.

When I downloaded the app it worked fine for about 2 mins then it shut down. Now when I try to edit something it just freezes. I wish it worked as well for me as it did for others

This app is really good. The only thing it could add is voice overs. Sometimes you want to add your voice too.

I loved the app and all. I definitely recommend it, but I hate that the video cannot be full screen. Overall, it's one of the best video editors ever.

It deleted parts of video footage. Frustrated as it cut bits out of one.long video as if to edit it's own thing. I give up.

I think the app is bad because after editing a video it would always have a problem downloading it.

Is not exactly easy to use, but it's GREAT in every other aspect. Just add a speed up for a certain clip then it's perfect (well maybe not perfect but awesome).

This app made a hard tedious task fulfilling and enjoyable. It was a great way to unleash someone else's creativity. More music genre's would be helpful. Debussey, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff would make great video music.

Its bad because when i edit my videos its not the same like splice the one that got removed then got replaced by quik the problem is you have to put a no transition button for the videos and its annoying cause i couldnt make my videos normal.

Needs work used to be perfect but now it will create blank images or green or gray blank screens after it provides cuts to highlights on the video. Download a video from "tubemate" and try to edit it you'll see what I mean.

used to be good but horrible now. crops the video. cant get the full shot. no option for not to use a theme. very limited editing

It only shows some parts of my video, even short ones. Effects are good though.

Couldn't work out how to just put a filter on without having to have all the automatic effects...

I'm not a serious tech head so I'm not the best at this type of thing but this app makes and keeps it simple...I like that!! And the videos are great, good variety!!
