About Stable Speed Library
This library provides variable speed playback for podcast players. It's exactly the same as the 'Presto Sound Library Open Beta' except:
* It doesn't crash all the time
* Adds simple UI to allow playback speeds faster than 2x
* JellyBean+ devices support most audio formats, including MP3, Vorbis and AAC
* Pre-JellyBean devices only playback MP3 files
* Pre-JellyBean devices do not support streaming
It acts as a background service, and provides variable speed playback of all audio formats supported by Android MediaPlayer, this including MP3, Ogg Vorbis, and, unlike Presto, AAC.
If you already own Presto, you MUST UNINSTALL PRESTO before Stable Speed will work.
PLEASE NOTE: BeyondPod and DoggCatcher now supporting variable-speed playback natively. There is now NO NEED to also purchase Stable Speed.

This code puts a premium on stability. If an error is detected you will be prompted to email the issue to me. Please do so!
Internet access is necessary to stream files from the Internet.
I'm sorry the screenshots aren't nicer, but there's not really a user interface, and Google insist on two screenshots!

Honestly, I thought my phone, (or DoggCatcher) was broken or just too slow. No wait, it's a brand new Note 2 with a quad core. Presto was the culprit. Stable Speed fixes the lags and unresponsiveness Presto causes DoggCatcher. I Hate having to buy a similar app twice but I'm sick and tired of having to wait four or five seconds for playback to stop, or jump forward. Good app. Well done!

Works much better than Presto. Not only does it not crash, it also responds much quicker than Presto to pause/seek commands. In Presto/DoggCatcher, I would hear a notification sound over the stream, then a brief pause, and then it would resume. SSL/DoggCatcher works as you'd expect - it pauses the audio, then the notification plays, then the stream resumes naturally.

Switched from Presto which crashed and had weird audio issues randomly. I wish I could get my 5 bucks back for that program and send it to the developer of this. This makes listening to podcasts with Doggcatcher fun again.

Actually it just had small issue so I emailed the programmer and got an immediate response. Even though he had just pushed out an update, the next day he pushed out another one that fixed the issue. It's hard to ask for more than that.

It's tiny, only 664KB! Too many apps are bloating and cause other apps to be killed.
