Berrysearch brings you a revolutionary way to search on your device: faster than your native search for apps and contacts, with fewer taps and better results, it is also always available from a tab on the side of your screen.
In 1 tap, Berrysearch will show you the list of your recently installed apps and favorite contacts. Choose to use the T9 keyboard and with even fewer taps and our smart search, you can access things much faster than has been previously available on Android.
Easily txt, email, WhatsApp, or call the found contacts from a super quick Contact Details popup that saves you time and effort.
With Berrysearch’s smart T9 algorithm, you only tap once on the key for your chosen letter and it will match all of the relevant words for you, meaning you can get your chosen words in a third of the time. It’s really simple and an incredible time saving tool.
For example, to search for Skype, tap as follows:
"PQRS" + "JKL" + "WXYZ" + "PQRS" + "DEF"

Great functionality, but needs visual tweaking to get it at par with current UI. Also, every time you change a setting the app has to initialize again and this takes ages...solve this and you have a winner..

Smart t9 mode is awesome. I use it just for making calls and sending texts directly from the home screen and it makes it very fast. And it's very lightweight and uses very less RAM. Please add 2 more features in next update. 1) Add the option of displaying the tab icon only on the home screens and not while using other apps. 2) Add the option of setting the transparency of the tab icon. Thanks. :)

Excellent app, works great. However, on my dark themed device and launcher it looks out of place. The addition of a dark theme would easily change that. Otherwise great job.

Opened it and thought, wow this is great, but then it started force closing itself, after which it has to initialize again. So pretty much every time I want to use it, I need to wait for the scan. Great if it didn't crash all the time.

I uninstalled, but only because Nova launcher can do everything this does. Great program. Only problems are: when you hide the tab there's no way to figure out what motion brings up the app; the ever-present notification is a huge turnoff; takes a long time to initialize and does so seemingly randomly (could you let us know *why* it needs to be done?). All very minor stuff - I really like this app. I just don't need it

Latest version is better. At least the sidebar now pops up reliably. But "Initializing the Goodness" nearly every other invocation... and it takes a loooooooooooooong time to finish :-( ... plus, attaching to the "Home-Up" gesture is a hit-and-miss situation. I've added a star to my original one star review. So: Two stars for the moment.
