XMouse Remote Mouse & Keyboard for Android
Nice app but I have com across a problem: visiting someone, my laptop of course gets a new IP from their router, and then I can't connect with the app. I get a time out error where it still uses the old IP address, even though I've both changed the entry and also tried deleting it and creating it again.
Useful, simple and easy to setup, no additional server app required, ssh and xdotools is all you need
Nice app. But it cant keep always active connection. It disconnect when i minimize app. Then reconnect after maximize.
Best app ever.. does the job perfectly with my raspberry pi..
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Great for running your linux box into a TV. Much nicer to control than a "smart" TV.
Just awesome on Ubuntu 16.04
works like charm :)
Does what it says
Awesome will be donating.
I mainly use this to control a Linux htpc running Netflix in a chromium browser. Tried unified remote server, but I much prefer this method. Thanks for fixing the Android 7.0 compatibility bug!
I hv downloaded the rep but cant install it on my ubuntu
Easy to setup and works as expected.
hey, again i luv the app, but i'm having a bit of troubke editing the key layout text... it will always show me error parsing new layout: invalid long and the the color code... i would appreciate any help thank you
All you need is SSH and XDOTOOLS installed on your Linux box! I find this really useful for controlling my media centre PC. Thankyou Bradley Anderson!
The ability to trigger scripts from custom key layouts makes this app extremely powerful
Absolutely wonderful program. You are my hero.
Great app. Works well.
Absolutely wonderful program. You are my hero.
Great app, does exactly what it says on the box and doesn't try to scam you. Thanks to Bradley for maintaining it!
wow! great update, completely functional and sleek looking. thank you
This has saved me a couple of times when I've forgotten to change batteries in a wireless keyboard/mouse. I would ask that the developer make it available in the f-droid repository for others.
Excellent app , need some explanation on how to set up, also drag and drop is frequently misclicked/tapped accidently.
First remote control app I've found to not need a server app AND work seamlessly with my multi monitor setup. 5/5 stars, real good job!
This app is perfect for the job. I also love that it is open source. Congrats.
Best possible remote keyboard/mouse for linux machines. No stupid laggy service or driver.
Could be a little easier to set up. But after spending 5 minutes to make it work, you have a flawless and highly customizable app
"xdotool + ssh + user definable buttons" = an unbelievably useful and extensible remote control. An inspired example of "Keep It Simple Stupid". In mere minutes anyone that can read a man page can learn how to create a custom remote control for ANY application that can be controlled with keyboard shortcuts. BRAVO!
Does exactly what it's supposed to, since sshd and xdotool are parts of most major distros. Using it for an HTPC setup and it rocks.
So easy.
The app works exactly like it's supposed to. And without additional configuration. P.S.: This review is written using it. ;)
I have an old server that needs a ps2 style mouse which I don't have. Well, I don't need one with this app!!!
Not only does this app rock, the transparent nature of it has taught me some things I didn't know. I love everything about this app.
Does exactly what it says on the tin.
Does exactly what it advertises. No headaches. No hassle.
Does what it should and is very functional.
just what I needed
Email replied within hours, features added in less than 2 weeks. Awesome stuff!
Great work - tried a bunch of other apps, and AFAIK they all need server programs in order to achieve touchpad control. This is by far the simplest and most straightforward solution for linux users. Suggestions: Switch the Terminal tab for Commands as the "terminal" isn't as much a terminal (no input) but more a log. Also adding a default value for the button width would possibly stop the app from crashing when the user forgets to enter this value.
Java served solutions are just too much dependency for too little return. And providing your users a transparent interface to the core functionality is very much appreciated, as well. This is Unix through and through. Is it possible I should just tweak my config against mouse lag? Maybe a short-circuit test against delay every 5 moves or so to simulate cursor acceleration? Update: is the new storage mod permission associated with a fifo for the new key update feature?
