The RAC Report A Pothole mobile phone application is designed to make reporting potholes and other road defects easy.
As the motorist’s champion the RAC has teamed up with the powerful Street Repairs reporting tool to help get Britain’s roads back on track. By reporting potholes and other defects to a centralised system the process of getting roads repaired and back up to standard can be speeded up.
The RAC Report A Pothole app can identify the user’s location using GPS through their mobile phone. It instantly recognises which council or local authority to send the report to in real-time, allowing local authorities to schedule repairs quickly. Up to three photos can be easily uploaded to show road defects, signage problems, street lighting faults, plus much more.
The app is intended to assist anybody who uses Britain’s roads including car owners, cyclists, motorcyclists, fleet owners, and van and lorry drivers.

Android 7.1.2 Nexus 6P app times out at 10% loading. Refuses to complete load even after uninstall and restart. Used to work well. Further research shows that the street repairs website is down.

This app lets you fill in all the data, including your lengthy description and photos, then you click on SUBMIT and it is submitting, but after about 60 seconds an error message appears " unable to submit, please try again". After several failed attempts, GIVE UP!

Nice way to record and report a pothole or other road problem. But my phone (SGS3) seems to struggle to run it whereas it is fine with all other apps. Phone slows down to a crawl. Also Locate Me has stopped working. Might try a de- re-install.

Handy little app. Quick and easy to use and if it helps get these potholes filled in quicker, all the better

Keeps freezing. Have the designers ever tried to use this app on a phone? Using such a tiny window to place an 'X' on a map is infuriating. Also you shouldn't need to input an address for the location of the fault- what if you don't know the area your driving in that well or you're miles from any houses? Full screen map needed for locating the 'X' should surely be enough with the option of locate me. Often locate me is useless as I usually report it once I've reached my destination.
