Street art 3D is visual art created in public locations, usually unsanctioned artwork executed outside of the context of traditional art venues and describes an image that provides the perception of depth. The term gained popularity during the graffiti art boom of the early 1980s and continues to be applied to subsequent incarnations.
Street art is often motivated by a preference on the part of the artist to communicate directly with the public at large, free from perceived confines of the formal art world. Street artists sometimes present socially relevant content infused with esthetic value, to attract attention to a cause or as a form of "art provocation". Street artists often travel between countries to spread their designs. Some artists have gained cult-followings, media and art world attention, and have gone on to work commercially in the styles which made their work known on the streets.

Painting Your Masterpiece
• Use your photocopy and grids to guide you as you chalk out a rough outline of the complete image you are painting on the pavement - just enough to map out the image and get the proportions correct.
• Start from the top of the painting area and begin painting the image with the colored chalk.
• Lay a foundation of color using your fingers in small areas and a chalkboard eraser for larger areas.
• Fill in the details of the image using various shades of colored chalk. Continue to blend colors to gain the right effect. Leave some chalk color unblended on the surface of the pavement to bring out colors, highlights and details.
• Remove the masking tape to reveal clean, crisp outlines.
• Sign your work. If you've reproduced an image originally created by another artist (living or deceased), give the artist credit by noting his or her name and the title of the piece at the bottom of the street painting.
