Volume Lock | Volume Manager

Great app. Doesn't seem to stop accidental silencing on Nougat with my S7edge, but admittedly the 7.x Android is currently beta on my device, so I am not surprised there are minor quibbles. Had an issue initially where it stopped a few times, but that hasn't happened in weeks now. Does what it says, keeps me from accidentally turning my phone to silent unwittingly -- well, did before 7. Now it stops me accidentally turning it up :)

I have a ZTE Max 2 or Zmax 2 and I have noticed no problems with this app. Works very well. It locks and holds all volume levels for this phone. I wish I could find an app to lock the power button. I guess to include a setting in the software was just too much effort for the developers.

Love the app performance. Hate the LOUD piercing beep sound on the head set every time the volume is corrected by this app. No way to turn off or change this piercing beep that pierces at a loud high frequency BEEP! in your ear every few seconds when a volume change is corrected. Love the app performance 5 stars, but this all day long loud beep sound in my ear gives me a headache. Maybe this is why this app is a 3.9star and not a 5. I have to find another volume lock app.

This is a very helpful app if you want to minimize, lock, and/or control the volume of your device to prevent any audio-related harm towards the user(s), also, for child-safety.

App will get 5 stars when developer releases a paid version with NO ads and NO usage statistics recollection (no need of this when collecting money from sales)

Used to work well but lately the last few months hasn't worked to well. Please fix love the app normally works great! Samsung s6 edge plus

best volume lock I ever had. very clean. doesn't interfere with the os.

Keeps volume locked, has ability to hide app is on without showing on the notification bar. It works great.

I want to be able to lock ring tone volume. Tried 2 other apps didn't work at all. This one worked - if you adjust side volume key it does not alter vklume....but also blocks the ability to put it into airplane mode - need to be able to still use that button ... so had to uninstall

Best simple app for locking volume levels. Memory usage is a bit high, i would expect just a few mb not 16mb for what it does, but i haven't experienced any bugs so i, can't complain. I tried every other similar app, they all had 1 'dealbreaker' bug or another, but not this app! Thanks for your good work Ben

Trying this app, I enabled the separate silent and vibration setting. This resulted in the phone locking up, constantly vibrating an plinging. I had to boot twice before I managed to start the app manager and force quit, so I could uninstall. I belive this is a good app but that bug was a pain :-p --- Update: Yes, Benjamin - but start on boot was the reason it was hard to get control again. I like the app and will try again, but with manual start after boot :-) Please provide profiles?

This is the 4th volume locker I tried. My huawie keeps dropping ringer volume and talk volume, this app holds the settings. The ringer seems to want to drop down at first 3 seconds but the app brings the volume back up. For those that have ringer volume drop after the last update , I recommend this app.

Have a very useful app with 1 issue. It kills the system volume to 0 when activated and no options or other apps like it. This solves that annoyance and keeps me from accidentally adjusting my ring tone or notification volume when try to adjust in call or media volumes.

At first this app was excellent. Then after 1 day this app locked up my phone so severely that it took me about 20 minutes to take back control. Even battery removal fid not help because as soon as it booted it started locking my phone and turning display off and on. Galaxy Note 4 running Marshmallow 6.0.1. Finally uninstalled app and problem solved. Btw, very recent system Restore/Hard Reset. EDIT: I reinstalled this app twice. It locked up my phone everytime. 2 stars for good idea. Please fix

If you need a volume lock app, try this one first. Out of nearly 6 apps this is the only on that actually could lock my buggy phones volume. Only downside is how much battery it eats up since i need it running all the time.

I am using it as solution for locking my ringer volume at loudest. After lollipop update my phone doesn't have ringer profile. Once I plugged earpiece ringer volume decrease, but it doesn't increase when headset is removed. This app is perfect solution to keep my ringer volume louder so I won't miss any calls

Exactly what I was needing. My phone never accidentally turns itself up anymore. I prefer my phone on vibrate in my pocket, now it always is.

I never rate apps trust me I have been struggling with my volume turning itself off as soon as I put my headphones on not with this app!! Thank you job well done

Kinda works, it works for a bit hen unlocks it but the app says it is still locked. Please fix, but its pretty good nonetheless.

Does exactly what I wanted. Accidentally leaning on the volume buttons when the phone's in my pocket is no longer an issue.

This is the only app I know so far can lock volume buttons with no problems

But there's no way to shut it off, short of Force Stop.

It wont allow me to switch the phone to silent. Other than that is not too bad.

Ben can you allow us to change the ringer mode (silent / vibrate / sound) even when the volume sliders are locked? Im using this as a method to disable the volume rocker buttons but need to be able to switch into silent / vibrate mode manually. Thanks. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge

Really like this app. Simple interface, no notifications or pop-up when lock activated, dev listens to feedback. But a problem with 'sound mode' (sound/vibrate/off) - I can't change my sound mode (Samsung gs4) unless I untick 'ring' and 'dtmf'... But then my ringer is not locked. Recent update didn't fix.

I never rate apps, but this simple and just works! I can't tell you how many times I have accidently turned down the ringer before this app.

Ads actually block features on the screen. When pressing donate to remove ads it says this feature is not implemented yet, but my interest has been noted.

Verizon tech support was clueless and blamed the issue of ringer going from vibrate to sound on me. This app keeps the vibrate on....also let gives me another reason to ditch samsung.

Although it says this version allows toggling between vibrate and silent, it does not work on my HTC 10 running Marshmallow
