Fine Cooking

I was excited to get my first print subscription for the code to add to this app so I can read on my device. Very disappointing... It let me add my subscription number but not my email and now just spins. I have uninstalled and re-installed multiple times same endless spinning. It doesn't even crash so that I can send an error report. I am glad I didn't get a digital only subscription. Fine cooking- Hire a decent programmer fix your app and get with the times!!

There's no good reason to keep this app. I used to be able to use it to find recipes. Now all it does is allow you to read the magazine. And it doesn't so that well either. I can read the paper magazine. I wanted the app to do what the website does. This app is a waste of space.

Love the magazine. Too bad the app is so terrible. After every update does not work for some time. Have had a subscription for 18 months and app has been unreliable. Very disappointing

Used to work ok, but the last year was a waste of my paid subscription.

Does not function at all, can not sync with digital subscription. No response from company.

It isn't informative. The apps are marketing tools, ways to buy old magazines.

Churns forever and never displays anything. Doesn't even allow me to enter my account information. What good is this application for?

The user account part of this app is brain dead. It recovers my number when I type in all the info it asks for but will not restore my access to the magazine. Waste of time.

Crashes every 8 pages or so. Every time!! So annoying.

Even after several updates, this app consistently crashes. I can't read one magazine cover to cover seamlessly. Also, the app is bare bones...no ability to bookmark or save particular recipes. I was hoping the app would be a way to reduce magazine clutter of saved recipes.

So for my birthday I got a paid subscription to fine cooking online...only the app doesn't recognize the name and email, so I guess that $$ was wasted!!!

I just ordered my subscription and am arrempting to input my info and every time I go to settings and click print/subscription the app crashes. So I can't even read an issue at this point.

This app can't seem to remember that I have a print subscription; I'm glad that I do because this app is very unreliable!

Crashes. You aren't able to read an article....a paragraph without a crash. Such a shame.

After an initial "ooops! I crashed, but a report has been sent to my developer to help fix the issue," problem where I could not access the app at all. All is now well. I emailed tech support and they promptly responded with a solution. The App works as advertised. It looks great on my Samsung Note 10.1.

The new version is much faster

If I could give this a negative rating I would. I agree, that whoever wrote this has not tried to use to to read the magazine which I love. I am pleading for someone to please fix this dreadfully slow and unusable app. I travel a lot and I love being able to have this magazine to read and was so excited to finally get a tablet to read it on versus using my friends iPad. The app works great apple devices so what gives?????? Someone at FC please look at the two apps to see how bad this one is and fix the problems. I doubt anyone at corporate uses this app.

What happened? This was a clunky app but at least it worked. I wanted to switch to online magazines to reduce clutter and save trees. I usually save my cooking mags and refer to them frequently. The only way you can get fine cooking online is through the app. Now the app does not work at all. I have been robbed, basically of a couple issues of magazines. Hey taunton, how about a refund? If i had bought paper copies i would still have them. Instead i bought virtual versions for the same price and have no acess to the info i purchased and no hard copies. What a terrible unethical business practice.

The magazine used to run better than this but now it is terribly slow and features do not work. you should get your money back from whoever is designing the app!!! Even trying to rate the app from within a magazine you downloaded is a nightmare. I had to come here and do it. Fine Cooking is starting to go WAY downhill, sadly. :( Even the new baking app is just as horrible!!!

Magazines are slow to load pages, downright balky. I lost the magazine I downloaded, downloaded it again and cannot access. Don't recommend the app.

****UPDATED This app has stopped functioning entirely. New phone, hence a re-download of magazines. Taunton, please keep substandard apps out of the marketplace. Love the magazine but app freezes and will not progress beyond initial settings.
