Stingray Music

The placement of the ads is the biggest issue. Having them slide up over the album art gives a very cheap feel to what used to be a high quality app. I've stopped using Stingray and have been using Slacker Radio instead. Slacker has ads as well but I can tolerate it because I'm not paying for a TV service to have access to it. I'm uninstalling this app because I can put the space it takes up to better use.

Too many ads. It's infuriating. I appreciate the response from the developer, but if you want some advice, have the ad run once at the beginning of a user's listening session and not every time someone switches stations. For a new user trying to explore the different stations on offer, it kills the experience and makes them force close and uninstall. Thank you for adjusting the frequency of the video adds. I'm going to give the app another shot now.

Music quality is excellent. There is a limit to the number of songs you can block (It was around 2200 for me), but this is not included in the documentation. So far, I haven't found the limit of artists you can block, but I'm currently over 400 (yes, I'm picky!). Customer service response time is very slow, but if you're persistent you'll eventually hear back from them. I'm waiting to see whether the station playback issue I discovered is resolved. If it is, I'll increase my rating.

Mostly awful. Froze my phone after about 3 minutes of using this app. (Have used CBC Music app for months and it hasn't caused me any problems). On the plus side, one of the main reasons i installed the Stingray app was to figure out name of band i liked on the Canadian Indie (TV) channel. And was able to spot the bandname (The Jerry Cans) before app froze the phone.

I was trying to play some nice classical music for my child while they sleep and guess what came on blasting? A BMW commercial! This app is full of ads. Loud ads. Even though you pay for the service through your TV subscription. You also get ADS.

Huge & varied selection of excellent playlists, all curated by real human music lovers, which are always so much better than those created by algorithm. Easy to explore & find new playlists using filters (activity, mood, theme, genre) or similarity. Great sound quality & volume levels between tracks are perfectly balanced; no need to keep adjusting volume.

This was a great App....but lately it keeps shutting down and I get a network not responding msg. Very annoying

I cannot authorize because I am not able to get the app on my tv. When I last authorized I only had to play the music on the TV. Please bring this back then I will use it again :)

Not bad, but battery and data usage is higher than Spotify. Also not compatible with my phone's audio settings /equaliser.

This needs to be a pay subscription...I dont want a tv service to get this app...I want music. please implement

So why are the play lists unavailable when I'm subribed using my TV cable ? Says it's free but limited. Kinda trash

Most of the Vibes channels are unavailable. I guess I can only get those offered by my tv provider. I'm not impressed with their lineup. ????

Works great for me everytime! Huge libraries. Something to listen to for every mood. Connecting it through my provider has meant no ads or reminders to try it on another device etc.

Keeps Crashing. Since the newest update it won't load and will even crash when I'm not logged into it. I can restart my phone and turn it back it and the app will crash. It was my favorite music app as well

This a great music app, it features a lot of great and well-curated channels. I use it for free thanks to my cable provider. In my case it features no ads nor interruptions of any kind. Here you can't skip songs, but they tell you what's next so that's a plus. One thing I don't like about the app is that it doesn't have a horizontal display mode, just a portrait one. My phone has the audio jack in the bottom, so I can't have it standing with headphones plugged in. In the gym this makes it kind of awkward because the info is displayed in an uncomfortable direction. Besides that, everything about this app is just fine.

No Update still. Still doesn't open and won't play. Keeps saying stingrays has crashed when phone turned on. Ridiculous. Update caused app to crash and developer would rather worry about video ads than fixing program for pd subscribers

Lately almost every song on every channel "skips" ahead by a beat or two very frequently, and it is extremely annoying. UPDATE: STILL "skips" many times during every song, on every channel - i thought we stream music to avoid this!?

Same comment... update equals CRASHING and GLITCHING my phone.

Thanks for adding Chromecast since my last app rating. App works great! Time for a new feature request, integration with Google Home/Asisstant please.

Crashing... Crashing... and NO your update did not fix anything. Talk with your developpers cmon communication is the key.

Where did the customization feature go? With the latest version I can't customize my music any more. Now when I pick a channel there is a box that says "Your customized program starts now" yet there is no way to go back to the regular program. Am I missing something?

Are you serious? Now you add video ads.. Real dumb.. Especially for us who pay monthly already for our providers, which should include ad free music. Spotify doesnt seem to have a problem with that, take notes.

This app does not pick up on the authentication from my television. It says to try another channel and while the quality says "good" I keep getting the same error. What's the point of this app if it doesn't work after the 5 day trail?

Recent changes have too many video ads. Which causes it to freeze everytime. Was great before, but sucks now. I'm already paying for it through my tv package, why do I still needed to see ads??

Started showing ads (video and images) that blocks you from listening to music until ads has showed for the required time. Videotron says this is "commercial-free"... WRONG!

C'était une excellente application d'autant plus que ma suggestion d'une minuterie avait été ajouté, mais à présent impossible de rallonger la période d'activation avant la fin...plutôt mauvais quand on est souvent à l'extérieur de la maison et qu'on veut être certain de ne pas manquer de service. Et les ads, non mais vraiment...ouch. Réglez ça au plus vite, je remettrai mes étoiles rendu là.

Unfortunately in germany Stingray Music is not any more supported by Unitymedia. Me and many other customers are very unhappy with this
