Fences

It turns WiFi on when I enter home, but won't turn it off when I leave. I've tried using the location trigger to have WiFi turn off when I leave my house, that didn't work. So then I tried the trigger to turn off WiFi when I disconnect from my home network, and that doesn't work either. Not sure what else I can try.

Worked great on K but apparently L has tighter restrictions. The app hasn't been updated to deal with it and seems abandoned

I'd pay for an ad free version!

Love it! No more forgetting to turn my phone on vibrate when I get to work, now it automatically goes to silent mode 5 minutes before my start time. Then, 5 minutes after I get off it goes back to normal.

Makes it really easy to automate setting changes that I make every day. However, the media volume feature is broken. The profile will launch but the action won't occur.

App will detect a trigger I set, but will not follow any actions.

Love the idea of this app. Unfortunately profiles began to activate on their own when the triggers weren't happening. Got really frustrating.

Just plain does nothing, completely useless

Does what it says with perfection. Useful. I setup triggers for church, the movies and time of day. Thanks!

Simply doesn't work. The triggers seem to work on my Nexus 4 but the actions, specifically turning mobile data off simply dies not work. Since for me that is the primary thing I want it to do, it is worthless to me. Brought it to the attention of their "support" and did not receive a response. Don't waste your time.

This is actually a spectacular innovation of today's apps. Extremely useful for playing a song at a certain time, turning off data so your bill won't skyrocket, and turning down the brightness of your phone when the movie is scheduled to start at the theater.

App was working great for a few weeks. I only use this to turn the WiFi On or Off automatically when I arrive at my home. Recently is has stopped turning back on when I arrive home. I have reset the profiles and still having same issue.

Installed it, but can't get it to start. I get 'Unfortunately, Fences has stopped' every time. Alcatel OneTouch Idol X.

Great app, but recent problems. I've set an app to launch on a single profile, however in the past week or so it launches every time any profile is triggered. Can't explain the change in behaviour as I've been running the latest version for a while now, without modifying the configuration of Fences.

Add profile sorting, cloud bup, home screen profile shortcuts, repeated timezones and option for combined or independent triggers on the same profile. Then sell it, and I will buy it. 4 stars for effort and being free.

I'm in love with this app....I don't have to worry about putting my phone to silent every time.

The simple Location automation tool.

Has completely stopped working. Worked fantastically when first installed, now missing every single location based trigger. Will try another app

This app provides basic functions for automating certain tasks based on location, time of day etc. Works well on my Nexus 5. I use it to turn on and off wifi based on my location. Would be nice to have some better documentation on the features within the app.

Adequately replaces Cyanogenmod's profile feature on my stock rom with a simpler interface than Tasker. Dev listens to feedback as well. Excellent app.

This is a wonderful app that makes my phone smarter. Automatic profile swapping is handy. There are two flaws. Occasionally, Fences decides I'm actually a quarter mile away from where I am, so I have to set HUGE Fences. Two, the "change sound state" doesn't play nice. Sometimes, my phone triggers itself back to sound enabled when I have vibration on, even when it is set to trigger vibration or has no sound action at all.

Would appreciate the ability to integrate with profiles. Also, being able to change some settings every day at X time and revert at a different time.

I love this thing...while a bit basic, it does what it's supposed to do. I can't wait to see what new triggers and actions they come up with next.

I bought this app almost 2 years ago on accident, primarily because I thought it was something else but decided not to refund because of how active the developer was and decided I'll support him regardless of if I need the app or not... Now coming back to check on his app it's made a lot of progress and I think is one of the best task based profiling apps. Just a bit underated. Kudos to you Chris on being so active I appreciate you're efforts but only complaint I have is ads on a paid version?

Every profile I have set has begun launching music through media utilities, particularly the profiles that are only set to turn brightness down at night.. Please fix

Consider giving battery percentage level as a trigger and also the opportunity too set the mobile data as a trigger too. Then you will get 5 stars for the ultimate app

The fact that you cannot make 'complex' 'profiles' without them 'clashing' (hierarchy issue), because strangely enough they are not contained within a 'fence', no pun intended, and contradict one another... Fix this and it a a much loved, wanted and über-practical app I would gladly share and promote.

I'd like to be able to automatically turn off whatever profile I set up. Thanks

Just one feature which would complete this for me, is if the location triggers could be "While in this area" have these toggles, then revert upon leaving the area. :) Thanks

I really like the UI and had high hopes but it would take too long after entering a fence for app to notice. (This may just my android 4.3 on the S3 as I am having problems). Eg set up fence round my work, told app to check location every 15mins, but it took 3hrs to realise I was at work.

Just a very cool app that does just what I want (turn on and off WiFi automatically) without needing root. If you could add an option for automatically switching unlock from slide to pattern that would be awesome (though I imagine that would require root access. Otherwise, great stuff.

Great tool for us lazy/forgetful folk. Would love to see a way to backup profiles like when switching to new phone and disable for certain amount of time.

Works pretty well. However I do get some random errors such as apps opening without being triggered. Also needs a way to prioritize conflicting actions.
