IPSC Shot Timer for Android
Needs to have a menu to adjust Db. Running it on a Galaxy Note 5 and it has no menu, so there are no adjustments that are able to me be made. If anyone talks between shots it registers a time and split, not very helpful when your running drills with a group of guys talking around ya.
Looks like a very usable app. For those having problems finding the menus, for my Galaxy S5 it required holding the "recent apps" key to bring up the menu. Maybe that will help someone out there.
You have to push start every time, voids reaction time. You can't press start, draw and shoot at the same time without messing up one of them. Great if you have a friend though
It has no delay start timer so you have to use it with a friend. Way to go. I've read many other reviews here and alot say the same thing. Fix this app! No menu button on certain phones? No delay timer start? Common.
Can't make any adjustment, .81 shows up as soon as you press start, can't set max shots, just plain doesn't work.
I use this app in dryfire, and it works well. It picks up trigger clicks from my sig p226. Unfortunately it will pick up any other noise in the room too. Guess I need to adjust the sensitivity, although it's not usually a problem
If you do not have the home/back button on screen, as is the case for the Samsung Galaxy, it is impossible to bring up the settings in app, main the app essentially useless.
I used this ap on my S5 for dry fire amd ot was perfect. I got an S7 and downloaded the ap...no menu button now. The ap is useless to me without the delayed start and par times. Please fix this.
I can get it to come on and function but the sound will not work. When I first installed I kept working with it and got the beep to work occasionally. Now it will not. Using the same phone but no sound. LG Showtime
Worked great on my old lg phone. No adjustments on my Galaxy note 7. Stuck on comstock, wont clear the score screen without closing the app. Very disappointed.
I like it. I use it for Par Time and it beeps both at the start and the end. You get to set the par time you need for whatever excersize you are doing. It also logs the times down and shows the split time inbetween shots and it let's you save it or send it. I especially like that you can set the timer for the beep to start you off. Sound gets picked up great for me, but that would depend on your phone's ability too. I do wish the beep was louder, sort of hard to hear wearing ear protection and guns going off. Maybe add a light option to where the flashlight on the phone goes off too. Would be nice to have a settings/menu button instead of holding the back button.
Played with it for a few minutes so far with dry fire drills. Picks up my hammer falling no problem even with my air conditioner running. You do have to adjust the sensitivity so that it doesn't pick up ambient noise.
This was a great app on my old phone. Now using Samsung edge 7 and there is no settings button in the app. Bummer...I used that to set sensitivity and delay and change modes.
Edit: does not work with samsung s5. Excellent app for keeping your skills in top shape for carry or competition practice. Simple to use and highly recommended!
App is great but for the love of shooting please add a menu button. I'm running a Note 4 and holding the back button does not work. Would make the difference between good and great for this app.
The 0.75 second delay and not recording shots during it is outlandishly horrible. This app is better than most others, but seriously that delay ruins the entire point.
This worked great on my other galaxy but now its insanely sensitive and is stoping the clock for every sound...i used to be able to adjust the sensitivity but for some reason that option doesnt seem to be on here along with many other options i was used to having. What gives i hope i dont have to pay for the basics
The dry fire settings have been especially useful in shaving a bit off my times. Thank you!
This app worked perfectly with my S3. I now have a note4 and i cant access the settings anymore.
Worked on my S4 but doesn't work on my note 5.
This is the best shot timer but since the new Android OS update it is impossible to access menu functions. Please update! PLEAAAASE!!! Im begging you!!!
I saw videos with menu options. I don't have those. I guess it's not compatible with Galaxy Note 4
The timer works well for one or two shot strings. I mostly use it for draw and fire practice. I've tried it for longer shot strings but it doesn't seem to pick up rapid fire shots too well. Not sure if it's my phone mic, phone case, or app issue. I really like the ease of it. Would like a trouble shooting guide or explanation of exactly how the settings control sensetivity. Have only used it indoors at this point.
For those who don't have a settings button on their newer phone, just do a long-press on the multitasking key and it pops up. Used with my Note 3 this app works great. Major improvement would be ability to record multiple "single" shots on record table.
It works great saved me $100 from a shot timer. Only con is you have to press stop after shooting because just talking will keep the timer going and will count your voice as follow up shots. Ive raised the dbs as high as it could but other than that it works like a charm. Ive recomended this app to all my range buddies.
Has issues switching from my s4 to my note5 with the OS update. If you don't have the settings/menu button on the screen app, just hold your phones back button to bring it up.
Worked great on my Droid Maxx. Now on LG G4, even trying the holding back button I can't access the menu. It's worthless to me now
Initially could not not find the settings on my S5, but just hold down the multitask button (left of the home key). This allows you to adjust the sensitivity if needed.
Cant seem to make this function. I can access all settings however when the start button is hit nothing happens (yes I've given it plenty of time for the delay to kick in). Not sure what is going on but the app is non-functional. promise a 5 star rate if you can help me get it working. I'm running Galaxy S4 with Android version 5.0.1
Good app. users with an S5 just need to press and hold the "settings" button for the setting to appear
Just opennon Comstock. Can't change modes or adjust settings. Worked on my old phone (razor).
I tryed other shot timers and this one worked the best. Has trouble picking up last shot fired. I use this more for setting par time than an actual timer. Wish it was a little bit louder had trouble hearing it on a windy day. All in all works very well.
Works perfect on my friends note 3, my s5 has no menu button and can't change the sensitivity settings making the app useless. 5 stars once this is fixed
It worked great on my galaxy s3, but has no option menu on my LG g3.
This app worked great until I upgraded to S5. App is now worthless without an on-screen menu button. Can't adjust anything. Please fix this!
Can't change any options in free version on LG phone. Useless in most applications for me.
It won't register my dry fire indoors below .81sec. I tried outdoors but it still can't. Either way still a decent app.
Worked great on my s3. Now it is unusable on my s5 as there is no way to access the menu options without an on screen menu button. :(
It doesn't seem to do anything. Can't get it to give a start beep or record any shots. No development in 2 years
