Heatmiser for Android
No support offered by Heatmiser. The technical support people sound bored and disinterested if you contact them. Poor products and non-existent support. Avoid!
Total rubbish can no longer control from outside my own network.
Now better than it used to be but still have connection issues despite the firewall being set for the port.
App no longer connects. Does heatmiser no longer support past products and customers?
Thermostat works. App doesnt
Upgraded phone and the app won't connect when using Android 6 on a S7 Edge when on WAN. The same settings used on my wife's iPhone and it works fine. This is not expected for such an expensive piece of kit, especially since we have 3 stats.
The app doesn't work correctly on andriod and Heatmiser no longer support the app very poor customer service won't be buying from them again
A poor app supporting a poor product backed up by poor customer service. You can get it to control your heating remotely - most of the time - but there are better, more reliable options with better features for the same price
It was easy to setup up with DDNS, just open a couple of ports on your router and you're away. but the whole experience was flaky. The inbuilt web server was far more reliable than the app, I tended to use the web interface on my phone rather than the app, although the web page wasn't designed for mobile screens so that was pretty hard work to use as well. The app needs a 'working' symbol so that you can see it's doing something. In the end I removed the system and bought a Nest V3, it's light years ahead!
Now better than it used to be but still have connection issues despite the firewall being set for the port.
Not working LAN or WAN. I've fixed it. After filling the data connect to demo thermostat and then again on yours. It worked for mine.
Frequently crashes on first startup. Sometimes struggles to connect. When working it's good but the interface is dated and poorly designed - sadly there are other companies doing a much better job these days.
I love my heatmiser system, but improvements to the android app need to be made please. App doesn't have the same control or ease of use like the iPhone app. Buggy on start up. Only opens on second attempt.
. Come on Heatmiser, this could be a great product if you made it easier to set up, you were one of the first to bring this type of device to market, and could of been the market leader. now their are loads of companies doing them, even boiler manufacturers and they are all far simpler to set up and they work properly over wifi/3g. Had this 2 years now & spent hours trying to get it to work as advertised and it's never worked properly. Can't recommend heatmiser to any one based on my experience of it
The only reason you buy a Heatmiser WiFi stat is for this app, right? Well, it crashes all of the time. Whenever you switch networks, so let's say you come home and you phone goes from GSM to WiFi, the next time you open the app, I guarantee it will force close. I sent over 50 reports to Heatmiser and their dev team has done nothing. Why? I think they are too caught up in Neo, their parallel product. Dreadful... If you bought a WiFi stat and are an Android user, I'm sad to say you got ripped off.
Sadly, this app crashes a lot and requires un an re installing regularly. Also has glitchy functionality.
Worked at first... Doesn't now.... Disgraceful That heatmiser don't support this properly... Won't buy their equipment in future
Please can this app be updated to work properly. I have invested a substantial amount into my thermostats and net monitor but I don't feel like using it to its capability due to this poor app.
Now better than it used to be but still have connection issues despite the firewall being set for the port.
Updated app showed signs of promise. Ability to set heating on or off times to the minute I thought. Great! Not so.. if you set anything less than half hour slots the app will completely make up the on and off times and temperature.. it looks fine till you go back into the app and check the settings.. absolutely hopeless.. let's have the old app back please or make it work as it should. We paid money for wireless stats not useless junk...
Connection problems, both on LAN and when on a WAN connection such as mobile 3G. Get different results from different Android devices. NEVER works on my Samsung Galaxy Alpha, yet with identical settings works on my Galaxy Note 3. Needs to give feedback on why it's not connecting instead of just sitting there.
The app fails to login almost every single time. This makes it too unreliable to achieve the degree of control advertised.
It would be great if it supports the android wear.
Only works at home on your wifi connection. A pointless piece of rubbish that is never updated.
This system has so much potential. The thermostat is a lovely design and works really well. But this app is dreadful. It has a completely different look and feel to the thermostat's built in web pages, and completely different again when being used on a phone or tablet. Furthermore, configuring it to work through a firewall using a dynamic DNS service is difficult (I'm an IT guy) and you can't even tell whether the app is connected to the thermostat, so sometimes you'll change a setting and go back 5 minutes later to find it has gone back to how it was before. The people who wrote this clearly know lots about heating but nothing about intuitive app design. Guys, have a look at Nest.
Had this kit and app for over a year now and still no fix or updates to this awful app. Force closes every time you reopen it, for some reason it never shows in the open apps list and doesn't have the speed or ease of use of the web app. Great bit of kit but if I knew the devs weren't interested I wouldn't have bought it. There are similar options with better support.
App is good when it works. The Apple version works absolutely spot on and connects to my thermostat in seconds. It's shame I can't say the same about the android app. It regularly takes minutes to connect and often crashes in the process. Logged with heatmiser support who blamed my device. My device has now been replaced to the latest hardware but no improvement. Come on heatmiser this is a great product but your android app is letting it down.....sort it out. I have been using this product for over 1 year
App won't work at all unless connected to home WiFi. Wan and lan settings are correct as works perfectly on iPhone. Interface is basic too.
App seems slightly more reliable when on a tablet. On my Galaxy S3 it regularly fails to update set temp and heating times sometimes I have to repeat the same setting many times before it finally takes the change.
Wasted hours trying to get to connect when on same wireless network as thermostat. Works about 1 in 10 times. Even tried different router. Gutted bought the kit now.
Downloaded to test before I order the system. Keeps crashing on my Samsung s2. I won't be paying for RUBBISH like this.
App crashes all the time on various devices. Really let's the product down. Hurry up and fix this please

Good hardware but the Android App is buggy. Lots of FCs on Jellybean and ICS. Lots of failures to connect (random). The temp hold facility just stops when it fancies it. No correlation to current temps or duration set. The clock loses a lot of time in the hardware. Great idea, glad I have it, but needs a lot more work to a as good as it can (/should) be.
Interface isn't super polished and updates of remaining temp hold time is laggy but that's not a deal breaker. I bought this kit so I could switch the heat on as I leave for home instead of relying on a dumb timer and for that it works just fine.
The thermostat/timer and app or Web interface are great and work well. However, the wifi set up was not easy. I have only basic computing skills and found it challenging. You will need to be confident in setting port forwarding in your wifi router, and create a hostname via a dynamic dns provider to enable the app to work. Its possible for anyone to do this, but the instructions are not very clear , so may take you some time and head scratching!! App is brilliant and easy to use. Once you get it going 10/10
I know not everyone uses them, but it would be nice if this app could control Inputs, Outputs, and Sensors too. Just paid to have my NetMonitor hardware upgraded (app compatible), but they tell me the additional functionality will never be possible due to lack of memory. So why couldn't they increase it when "upgrading"???
Connection not working on the android app. Connects fine on iPad and via web browser so it's not my network. Seems to be an issue with the android version. Given the cost of the hardware this is disappointing.
Je viens d'installer mon thermostat. Simple à installer et à régler. Le contrôle via l'application sur smartphone ou via le web fonctionne également très bien. Très bon produit. ;-)

Very buggy. Hardly any support available on the website. It worked after spending hours and hours trying to figure it out. Eventually it worked and stopped working after a new router. Same ssid and same security settings. Tried different configuration too. Given up on this piece of rubbish. Total waste of £140 and time.
