Remount

Remount Free App

Rated 3.80/5 (376) —  Free Android application by Stephen (Stericson)

About Remount

This is a very simple app, all it does is remount the select mount point as RW or RO.

I wrote this because some apps have problems remounting partitions as RW and thus do not work as a result. By Remounting the appropriate mount point an app that did not work, can suddenly begin to work.

Anyways, very simple. There is a Donate version on the market if you would like to donate for this work. This version and the donate version are the exact same for now.

After a few minutes I can't take screenshots again and have to remount my sd card using this app. Can you make it last longer? Or maybe permanently?

U70%

Says "Failure! /system could not be remounted as rw". And /sys (not /system) says success, but I still can't write to it. Tested on Lg F60(lgms395), 4.4.2, rooted, has supersu, has busybox, has root explorer, and 3ctoolbox.

I dropped my phone, had to reset it and it wasn't picking up the SD card. I knew I needed to change permissions but nothing was working, This app is a god send.

Doesn't work on my ASUS ME181C (KitKat 4.4.2, rooted). If BusyBox is required for this app, the Play Store text should say so.

I don't know I'd it would have helped but this would have been great when troubleshooting my r/o everything Streak 7 before returning it.

I used a script written by myself to do the same thing before. That app is obviously faster to use than opening the console and typing the command in.

Works fine to remount /system on my Ascend P1, 4.0.3

It just works as expected. Thank you for the tool.

Good app, but as others have said, it lacks of a "apply" button. For anyone wondering, the "apply" button is the "remount" on top of the app.

T70%
by T####:

Did not work. Titanium still failed to write to the SD card. :-(

Simply made everything work. Thanks. Also, like another commenter, a real apply button would be nice, but it's no hassle.

I've got a tablet and I suspect this was written for a phone w/ only one SD-card slot. My TF101 has a micro-SD slot this mounted immediately, but the rest of the SD-Card slots (up to three others) aren't listed. Give me a way to browse so I can manually select a mount point and you get a big FIVE stars... ;-)

Helps quickly and efficiently we type of a massive string that you would normally have to use in the terminal emulator, very effective!
