Only shows five apps. Tells me to buy another app and MAYBE more will show up. Not even sure the changes actually work.

Y70%
by Y####:

Just need to test each app to see if they still work and for those crash just re-activate one permision at a time then test app again. Google must really hate this app. All apps, especially the free ones are pure spyware.

How about maintaining for those that (seemingly) were silly enough to pay (like me).

Force closes when you block the permissions on apps regret purchasing

N70%
by N####:

App does what it says and does it fine. A few bugs like number of blocked permission not displaying from the top menu however once you click on a particular app you can see whats blocked and whats not. More descriptions needed for some permissions, however the important ones are described fine. Easy to use and the best app I could find for this purpose

N70%
by N####:

Two separate issues, #1 app regularly crashes when scrolling through list (Samsung galaxy s6 edge lollipop), #2 no search function, which also means it's near impossible to avoid #1. Also screen shake effect is cute but annoying

Thanks. I have tried many times, but it does not work. ( permission details: android.permission.INTERNET ). Android 5.0

App is garbage it keeps saying busybox is not installed even though it was running along side this pony app

Doesn't work with Galaxy S5 on Marshmallow. No response to requests for support or the offer of a refund. Disappointed.

Was great but really needs an update. A fraction of the installed apps show

Great app, it does what it says.

Works great to strip all the permissions off the random free apps like flashlight or whatever you want to use on your phone. A+. I mean some apps just refuse to work after you gut them out, but that's not this apps fault! LG Nexus 4 on 4.2.1. Rooted

This is the best, most in-depth app of its kind I've seen. The UI is a bit wonky though.

K70%

It does what I need to keep my privacy from the multitude of prying eyes. Well worth the few $. its pretty simple & if you start with no apps installed and work your way up, it's pretty easy to manage getting all permissions in order. Two asks from the dev for future updates -managing individual apps from a permission (in the same way I can currently manage all permissions for an app). -Please make it pretty. This should be on every phone & giving it a nice (holo) UI would make this mainstream worthy.

This is such a nice utility to have! Many apps come with obnoxious, invasive, unnecessary permissions, and being able to striaght-up deny them is awesome! Definitely worth the money.

This app does exactly what I wanted for Galaxy S3. One of my apps had a new permission in its update that I didn't think it really needed (read system logs) and so I postponed updating that app until I knew I could revoke app permissions. Permissions Denied works flawlessly for this. If I had to complain about something it would be that the app has a rather long startup time. But considering that I will only have to run it every once in a while and for only a couple of apps, it's not a big deal. I would definitely recommend any of Stephen (Stericson)'s apps over most others.

not worth it. does not remember settings - disabled permissions revert to defaults after some time. careful inspection of the apps - permissions, framework services - is necessary for effective use. overall, it is a hit and miss situation - many apps with removed permissions work with errors or not at all. more frustrating than useful, ripoff at the price I bought it for.

Removes the permissions but all the apps I tried removing permissions for failed to open and crashed after doing so. Facebook the one app I bought it for would not load after removing the permissions it did not need access too. The Permissions Denied app itself takes forever to load too(10 minutes). Over all it does not provide the service it was intended to. Waste of 6 bucks. Maybe the author will improve it and have the app to spoof the info to the app has requested permissions to so it can load like a few of the other permissions apps have tried to do. I might try it again in 6 month if it is still around. Really Google should step up and implement this functionality and I imagine eventually they will have to once enough people realize how much info is being stolen by these apps. I removed the facebook app and and will use it in the browser instead.

To winge bags who complain about the app taking a while to scan apps on startup, it is necessary as it needs to scan app permissions. Impatient people ! I prefer this app over other alternatives as LBE Privacy Guard is bloated and conflicts with Avast, and using ODroid patches your Kernel to blocks ads.

I've had this app for about half an hour (I wish the trial was longer). I downloaded especially to see if I could run Facebook without the location permissions, however Facebook crashes as soon as you open it - this isn't surprising or the developers fault, but it was the only reason for my purchase. From a UI point of view, the UI is strange, looks very Gingerbread based and the pop up menus aren't great, using a custom look that is outdated. It is functional though. Most annoying point, however, was that the app whenever I opened it reloaded the permissions, which took several minutes each time, and 3 out of 4 times it crashed the launcher and I had to start again. Putting this long winded package check in the background would greatly iprove the first impressions of this app. All that aside, however, it seemed to work. Galaxy Nexus, Paranoid Android 3.0

This app allows me to regain control over my phone, contacts and privacy in an easy fashion. You don't have to be paranoid to appreciate it! It reveals more about potential privacy leaks than Google Play and apps will continue to work with reduced permissions. Makes you wonder why these permissions were required in the first place...

P70%

Update: While scrolling through permissions the app willl sometimes select and change a permission. Would like to see a specific area to tap to toggle permissions instead of the whole permission window causing a change. (Using this on Galaxy S3 with JB. Took a little getting used to but works fine after I learned how to properly use it. If you have problems or concerns give the dev some respect and email him before you trash the app in the reviews.)

I had the free version for a while, but purchased the pro version for the ability to search by permission. I wanted to disable receive boot, but every time I load it, I can scroll down a bit before it force closes(around displaying Google products. This happens every time for me, so making this feature useless. Its also very annoying to have to wait for the app to reload all permission settings before every load. Make this configurable, a setting, keep a last load, or something to reduce this.

U70%
by U####:

I'm not really sure if it does what it says it does because it takes at least 10mins to load. Then you gotta reboot. Then load again. That's 20mins right there.....
