Are you tired of the same boring rain sound loops? Can you count the number of seconds until the next thunder clap? Wish you could add some wind chimes, or even just some wind into the mix?
Using the magic of Foley Artistry, mother nature, and a little chaos from a random number generator, Rain Soundscape creates and mixes a complete experience from your selections in real time. Most rain sound apps have a single pre-recorded loop of sound that they play over and over (and over and over) until your ears fall off. Rain Soundscape uses nearly 50 different sounds and a cleverly built sound engine to paint an audio landscape for the mind. Listen to the calls of a mockingbird over the backdrop of rolling thunder, or sit on a wind-swept porch as the rain courses through the roof-top gutters.
Using intuitive sliders, you set which sounds you want to add to the ever changing mix. Set the rain bar on low to hear the ebb and flow with the movement virtual storm cells; move it to high, add a little wind and some distant thunder, and you've created your very own desert storm. Become a sound engineer and create the mix you want to hear!
Use this app to relax, fall asleep, study, or even background filler for a stage production. Perfect for white noise, riki, meditation, and other low-activity settings. The custom sound engine guarantees that no two storms will ever be quite alike, even after hours of playback.
Additional features include a shut-off timer, presets, and a beta version of the alarm. The alarm will be completed next release, and will feature multiple alarms with preset selection. This app will also continue playing your rain soundscape even if you get a text message or browse the web.
The free version is also offered as a testing version. Because of the complexity of the sound engine, not all devices are capable of running this app in a smooth and efficient manner (if at all). Try this version before buying the paid one just in case your device does not support the sound engine.
Requires four permissions:

Read phone state - To pause playback when a phone call comes in.
Internet - For downloading and displaying advertisements in app.
Access network state - For downloading and displaying advertisements in app.
The paid version has no advertisements and thus no internet connection permissions are required. Also, priority will be given to the paid version for bug fixes and features.

Great Sound love the settings! The only thing I would love to see in future update is flash from phone to simulate lightning choice of camera LED or screen with setting to adjust lighting strikes! This app would be the bomb then!

Small size, works great. It's superior to many other similar apps since it uses a randomizer so there is no distracting, repeating pattern.

With the bug fixes, this is the perfect app with no distinct loop in the sounds! Hooked my phone to my mini speakers... Oh man the great sound quality lulls me to sleep. Love it!

So far so good every other app I downloaded I encountered force close problems,battery draining problems. Most aren't worth downloading, but this one has some really cool features sound adjustments, app is differently eye catching love the fact you can add wind chime sounds and animal sounds frog's birds etc. This is a pretty cool app it has every nature lovers sound if you love nature this app is for you.

I went thro nearly ten rain sound apps and was getting really fed up they were either too quiet or even had loud ads that woke me up in the middle of it all. This one has a big range of wet weather sounds that you can control fully. Thank you guys! !!

I love this app so so much! I currently have the free one and I notice various sounds such as frogs and crickets and birds. I was wondering if it'd be possible to add kitten purrs. I personally find then very relaxing.

...is what I've been looking for for a very long time. As a previous iPhone user there was a wonderful app called "Simply Rain" (the one in the Google store and Apple store are different). It was the best. Then I switched to an Android and have never found a good rain/storm simulation app since then (a good couple years). Finally, I have found a great app to fill the void. Thank you!

Concocting your own storm is a very neat idea that distinguishes this app from other rain apps. Sadly the audio samples sound like sound effects rather than authentic recordings of rain that some other apps have to offer which greatly detracts from the immersion.

I wish I could send you a box of chocolates. Your app is amazing, no more low quality loops, I can sleep deeply with this one because my brain doesn't learn where the looping point is. I got the paid app, just wish that I could transfer my perfect preset from the free to the paid version, developer could you please work on this for the next update? I have the perfect mix saved as a favorite but no way to transfer to the paid version. I'm so happy, I can finally sleep well again! You made a huge difference.

Love this so much, I've just purchased the full version. There are some things I'd like to change -- I'd like a wider range on the gust slider, it doesn't go as low as I'd like it -- but it does a great job and I find this app very useful.

I have 3 different Android phones and I tried this app on all three of them to make sure before I complained. for some reason I get everything situated and the storm will start .....within 5 seconds the storm just stops.... it says its playing but I hear nothing .

Love this app. It has a timer and you can adjust the storm any way you want. You can control whether you want more or less thunder, crickets, windchimes. Tons of options. I love it when you stop the storm it gradually fades instead of an abrupt stop.

I've used many rain generators, and this is by far the best I've encountered for Android. It does not offer clumsily loop tracks, it actually makes a smooth, lovely and customizable soundscapes. Most apps I've used loop sounds and contain artifacts, e.g. gaps and malalignments, that I find distracting, which is completely contrary to the purpose. This app is seamless and crystal clear. Amazing. Thanks, developer. You've actually made an app I value.

For so long I've been looking for an app that let's me choose the amount of rain and thunder and other comforting sounds mixed together. And it has a timer to set so I can meditate to it and I don't have to keep wondering if my 15 minutes is passed.
