Stave Breakthrough

Stave Breakthrough is a Read and Say, not Sing and Play…(yet), method for reading music.
The playing begins as soon as confidence and fluency appears in the reading (normally about 5 minutes).

Stave Breakthrough is a unique method for sight reading music and totally free to music teachers and their students.

The SB app is primarily for music teachers, demonstrating how the method works. The app has been designed by Len Collins, creator of Stave Breakthrough, to help teachers learn Stave Breakthrough and to explain the simple approach to music reading to their students.

The app consists of six modules, each containing eight simple multiple choice questions.

The six components are

• Dotted Notes
• Tied Notes
• Rests
• Key Signature
• Dynamics

Stave Breakthrough is compatible with all instruments and voices and with all clefs and all Keys.

Stave Breakthrough is completely free to all music teachers and their students. There isn’t anything to buy. Stave Breakthrough works with all traditional sheet music found in music classrooms and private studios around the world.

A summary of the method:
Traditionally a note on the stave could be described as an A note that lasts for three beats, the Stave Breakthrough method reduces it to a 3 beat A.

Simple, yet highly effective.

My method streamlines the passage of information through eyes to brain and out through fingers or voice relieving the stress and anxiety that often accompanies the early stages of sight reading music.
