Love it! This was one of my reasons for coming back to android from Windows mobile. But! After an OS update to 7.1.1 droidsound now crashes when trying to access SD card (using wileyfox swift). Help!

This was a GREAT app on my old Motorola Droid Razr M (running 4.4), but on my Motorola Z Play Droid (running 7.1), it stops every time I access the file system, making this app useless. Please fix!

D70%
by D####:

Everytime I try to access the filesystem, the app crashes. No way to play my own files anymore!

K70%
by K####:

Does not properly support some formats like nes and game boy where all the tracks are in one file.

I70%
by I####:

Great. Does not play .ym for some reason, and would be great to be able to support either playlists or a recursive folder

D70%
by D####:

It doesn't work.

Z70%
by Z####:

Great chiptune player. Sounds good man.

X70%
by X####:

It should have file direct assosiation

Y70%
by Y####:

Extremely easy-to-use player for computer music files. Plays SPC files perfectly.

D70%
by D####:

It would be a perfect VGM player which I'd like to buy if you'll change three things: 1)It desperately needs own widget AND/OR controls in notification bar, like PowerAmp do. 2) Need to add ability to switch track back by headset controls. 3) MAKE IT IGNORE OPENING ZIP AND FILES WITH UNKNOWN FORMAT! Man, I can't download apk, zip, and bunch of other formats because the player just keeps sucking them in, thinking it's music!

Since I updated to Android 4.4 on my Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, the sound now occasionally stumbles and breaks up while playing SID tunes. It seems like it is a priority issue... used to play perfectly on Android 4.2.2..

I love this app, i am so happy that the creator made this. It would be ever greater if they add Channel select, so you can control what Channels that you want on. Oh N64 the adding song length part only works for a few games so it would be great to change that too. I use this app every day. Thank you so much. Keep up the great work. If anyone wants the game music let me know i have TONS of them.

Nice app, but since the latest version it will only play the first track in each file. Has been this way for ages with no fix in sight.

Per gli amanti della computer old music é veramente un gran Player.anche Modo computer music pero e stupendo...

S70%
by S####:

Unfortunately, it only plays the first song on the file and none of the others.

S70%
by S####:

I guess this is no longer developed or maintained. Switched to zxtune which works great

C70%
by C####:

Can't open the directory where my files already are. This is useless to me. Why go to all the effort of supporting all these formats and then make the file handling suck?

S70%
by S####:

Okay, nice, it plays chiptunes like ChipAmp does, but I would definitely like it to be louder. Also, the chiptunes seem to play in an endless loop no matter what I do with the settings. Maybe there's a fix for this in the near future? Hey, not perfect, but I really like it.

S70%
by S####:

Functional at actually playing a number of file formats, but I shouldn't need to throw them all into a predesignated folder to play them at all. Also, there doesn't seem to be much documentation and the UI isn't very intuitive.

S70%
by S####:

Doesn't stop the first time you hit stop. Lacks options for SPC and many other formats, etc. Seems like the dev was on his way to making a good player and then disappeared?

S70%
by S####:

Lacks Resid as a sound engine option for SID files. Otherwise good for playing SIDs and MODS

H70%
by H####:

This app was perfect for all of the game format sound types from the "retro" systems, however the newest version of Lollipop has made it useless for .nsf and gb files as subtune cycling no longer works. Droidsound-E works and has a responsive developer.

E70%
by E####:

It won't cycle through subtunes at all if you download the lollipop update... Works fine for files that dont have subtubes. Go with Droidsound-E until this is updates. Edit 10/27/15 still not functioning correctly. Jump over to Droidsound-E

A70%
by A####:

Not to mention, subsongs are also wonky as the player only plays the first song in a set. NSF files for example have several subsongs in them.

Z70%
by Z####:

Please update to allow NSF sub songs to play

Z70%
by Z####:

Really needs updating, android 6 updates specifically. Subtune bug the biggest issue next to random crashes..

Z70%
by Z####:

And of course they don't work. Seems like it does what it is meant to do fine, but I only downloaded it because somebody told me it would play .brstm files. Please add support for this format soon.

doesn't correctly scan folder structures and froze while playing one of the example songs it's not hard to program a proper filebrowser, is it?

Q70%
by Q####:

The next track button doesn't work for Nintendo or game boy files since those are bundled into single files. Super Nintendo files work fine since those files are split. Please fix for lollipop!

I just use it for listening to retro gaming music. Works well in that regard. Would love to see it support N64 music.

Excellent emulation+support almost any chiptunes...but i dont like the browser

X70%
by X####:

It's nice to have a combined mp3+MOD player but the app seemingly couldn't find my /Music/MODs folder even though it indexed the /Music/Main mp3 folder sitting beside it! This thing really needs a file browser view, as my ID3 tags are a mess and I hate apps that put each mp3 single in a separate virtual "folder". Even though I can't play my own MODs, the app is still worth getting for the sample music it comes with.

Good for playing one track at a time, but very unorganized!
