Deus Ex Universe

This would be cool if it worked accurately. I've never had an issue with scanning or watching the videos; however, the stats, and access to a real "community of players" is well beneath sub par. It'll be good if I could have am accurate stats list and forum for Easter eggs and more. I'm a fan of Deus Ex and would love if it were more statistical on apps, Xbox, whatever. But to rate this app; 2 because I can watch the videos and some are interesting.

I am down with owning this app, it appears to have allot of cool functions, but that scanner doesn't focus properly and is so damn sensitive is not trying to capture those triangles no matter how close, Bright or clear the shot is within the scanner triangle. So, work on that maybe. Like sooner rather than later

This app sucks period the end. It's not fleshed out enough and I buggy. Trying to watch a video, the frame rate stutters as week as the audio which sounds like a radio station that is breaking up because of static. C'mon Square Enix, do something correctly and we'll or not at all.

Stats are woefully inaccurate. I got the app to make sure I had been completely stealthy during my playthrough, instead it told me I had 288 alerts. That would be a ridiculous amount of alerts even if I was running around shooting everyone. The rest of the alerts are similarly wrong as well.

I've never once got this app to log in to my account, just a connection error. I can log in to the website just fine and see my stats, but this app refuses to connect. I guess I'll never be able to scan any triangle codes. Kind of a bummer.

App is broken as all hell. It shows ludicrous stats. Claims 224 alarms triggered, yet not a single one ever went off in game. Claims 220 achievements unlocked...

Wish I could give zero or negative stars. Not a single, solitary feature it's supposed to have functions properly. A huge letdown for an app that should have been really cool and added to the gameplay.

It's essentially a front end for some texts and videos, yet it manages to perform horribly. Navigating the contents, you can notice lag and stuttering and if you play a video, it's constantly stopping for a few seconds, sound and image desyncing... This is a uniquely poorly written app.

Could've been good because I like the idea but the execution is very, very bad. Hides statusbar and navbar with no good reason, doesn't know if it wants to be (forced) portrait or landscape, keeps the device awake if you don't turn it off yourself and tries to melt your phone and set a record on battery drainage (even when no video or audio is playing, draining faster than usb will charge it). Boy, this is bad. Went down from 2 stars (because I like the idea) to 1 because it seems it's not fixable.

The app works for me, unlike others, but the triangle scanner is REALLY picky, and so far, the app seems kind of pointless. At least on my tablet, it also can't decide whether it wants to operate in forced-portrait mode (main menu) or forced-landscape mode (every module within the app), and it's not adaptive enough to simply use the device's orientation. It's a really poorly-made app. It provides potentially useful gameplay stats that aren't provided in-game, but that's ruined by the fact that they're purely cumulative, not based on a saved character. Do something that's logged, restore your game, do that thing again, and it's logged twice.

This is such trash and offers absolutely no rewards! I spent so many hours trying to find all triangle codes and it doesnt unlock in-game content. All it unlocks is behind the scenes bs which noone cares about. Unless you are trying for some sort of achievement, then don't bother your wasting your time.

How am i supposed to get the rewards when you app do not work? I can't make my house any brighter if I put the flash on my phone it puts a big image on the screen so it won't scan properly other than that it just doesn't scan properly. Work on the graphics for your games instead of doing crappy apps.....love the story though.

Never able to connect. Always get a connection error message whether on Wifi or data. It allowed me to create the account but won't let me access it. If you can't maintain your app and servers then why waste our time with this crap in - game?

Sorry but this is a fail. Super slow and unresponsive . I just wanter to play a few vids and it was too glitchy. Hope it can be improved.

Worst QR-scanner ever. Tried 20+ times, worked only once. Doesnt connect to my game so it was pointless anyway.

Menu buttons are not responsive. Unlocking YouTube videos is hardly rewarding and a pain. Just tries to sell you more product. One of the worst apps I have seen

The idea that the app links to the game and allows you to unlock extra content is good except for the fact that the app doesn't get past the login. It is therefore pointless.

This app is utterly disgusting. I can never log in cause app says password is wrong even when I know its correct cause i can log in on web site!! Now I cant get to game content cause i need that f**king scanner

Rubbish app, don't bother. Scanner detects code maybe 1/10 if you're lucky.

I still haven't found a good reason for installing it. It doesn't exactly complement the game in any interesting way. Worse, it forgets your password so every time it's fully closed (either by a force close or Android's memory management) you have to login again. And we all love being forced to repeatedly login on small screen devices, eh folks? Anyway, this is bad not just from a usability point of view, but a security perspective as well because it encourages use of weak passwords. Still, it's not like Square Enix's main website instils much confidence either. I probably should have anticipated a shoddy app like this.

My account is synced but my database and stats are empty. Would be great if I could read all the books I collected but app is broken.

It works and its awesome, stop complaining, these devs are great, and yall are making me livid with this "deus ex hr is way better" when its totally not. Stop hating on deus ex, md especialy. Its just so... retarded... entitled... you tried to make a game like that, i know your entitled **** will think twice before downing another great game just cuz lil youtube streamer nightblue didnt like it. Seriously, people that hate on md are meant to be ruled, or killed... maybe both. I would do that.

Scanner doesn't work well. The camera in my phone can take perfectly clear pics at close range. The app's "scanner" rarely focuses and scans any bonus content.

The concept is pretty interesting, scanning some kind of secret code u've just picked up in-game, but we want rewards for doing so and not some videos, which we can already look upon the internet.

Great phone...crap app with Whatever programming exists with the camera. An hr at times to take a picture of that damn triangle...all sorts of lighting and angles and combined lighting/angles...try again developers.

I'd give zero cause it just doesn't work at all... I can neither register nor connect. Here's my free recommendation for devs: fix it and add the ability to create custom triangle codes.

I can't even log in through my square enix i.d. It keeps giving me error message of incorrect email or password, even though I can log in just fine on their website. This app SUCKS, big time.

App works great. I don't have any idea why other people have issues.

I have tried it again and again and it just won't work at all. Everything else seems to work though, please make it easier to scan codes.

Works as advertised, but kind of pointless. All developer commentary videos are on youtube and audio on soundcloud, so I don't see why they need to be obfuscated behind an app that doesn't let you get the links to the content. It has severely limited how many people see the behind the scenes info. For one video I had to mess around and find a quality selector and stumbled upon the youtube page of the video, which if course forcibly logs you out so you can't find the link in your viewing history. A grand total of 1,400 people out of however many bought the game saw that video, and that was one of the easy triangles to find. The fact that this app does not work with and refuses to install on tablets is a problem as well. It's like they don't want you to see their concept art or dev commentary videos (where they apparently couldn't afford more than one $5 lapel microphone so the guy is barely audible in any of them, great production values there guys) on anything bigger than a small phone screen. In any case I see no reason to have any of this content locked behind a phone-only app rather than accessible in the game itself, or at least in the steam browser on the PC version.

Just doesn't work.i stood right next to the TV...sadly I don't have a tripod to mount the phone on to scan without a little movement.....Oh well

Those app does not connect to my stats or anything else. Pretty darn worthless.

Triangle codes work, though just link to dev diaries you could view on uTube, but I can't get it to show any stats, even though I've linked all the accounts and the game says I'm linked.

Can't connect to my account. And from what I've read if one could, big deal I want guns or outfits not videos

I guess I'm not a unique snowflake, this app didn't work for me either. The scanner app could only scan 1 triangle of the 7 I've found so far.

This app F**kin' sucks!! Tried to use it for nearly 20 minutes before giving up. Tried different lighting. Tried different positioning. NOTHING worked. I don't know what the extra content is, but I don't imagine it's worth this much frustration.

Just come on no sense off overview as if they wanted everything at the same time
