This app would be totally useless. It read 37 in a totally silent room. Unless you are saying the sound of very quiet AC blowing is that loud. I sneeze and it goes to yellow. Talk quietly and it is on red. A teacher would have to shut it down every time a student raised their hand to ask a question. I circulate the class to help students are you really expecting a class to be so quiet even the teacher can not talk. The readings are totally wrong making the app useless. Noise killer works better

M70%
by M####:

you need to add a 30s limit to the alarm going off so it can reset it's self then reactive if the noise is to loud. As the alarm keeps it in that mode.

I was excited to use this in my classroom until it informed me that to set levels and have an alarm I have to pay for it.

Great tool for noise moderation. If the alarm is not turning off, it is because you have to lower the volume. I had the media volume turned up all the way on my phone and this caused the alarm to stay on but once I lowered it, it worked great.

The noise in the house is pretty accurate and it works properly but I never tested it out in the classroom or in the taxi with my friends in it

Samsung Galaxy S6, app doesn't work at all. Sits at the green light saying 20db, never changes no matter what. Other similar apps work just fine, even if this one is visually appealing, it's no good if it doesn't work.

W70%
by W####:

Works but the alarm doesn't go off even after it gets quiet again, which is very disruptive. It wouldn't really be helpful in the classroom unless that gets fixed. If the alarm would go off when the students quiet down it would make the teacher's job much easier and the class would monitor their voices independently, allowing the teacher to focus on teaching. Fix this issue and I'll rate much higher!

The green light was on and it sounded like recess

R70%

Downloaded to use in my classroom. Alarm sounds and gets stuck sounding. Doesn't stop when noise stops. Totally ineffective.

O70%
by O####:

You have to pay for the alarm to work - false advertising you shouldn't say it's a free alarm if you have to pay for the alarm. Waste of time downloading.

S70%

Once the alarm goes off it keeps going off even when the room is silent because the alarm is registered on the meter. I turned the sound off to stop it then turn the volume back up and the alarm was still going off.

D70%
by D####:

I downloaded this to use in my classroom - the pro version (for an awesome low price of $1.31) allows you to set a personalized acceptable range and ask for an alarm when the noise gets into the red zone. I'll have to play around with some noise levels to see where the red zone would be. One thing that might be better would be a softer alarm tone or even a choice of tones. The one available is kind of scary.
