They take to long to update same stories...it sucks

NO STARS, . OAKLAND PRESS DID THAT,..CAN NOT READ SOOO LIGHT GRAY FOR MONTHS NOW,. I SPOKE TO REPS ON CELL A FEW TIMES about this,.and NO response,. NOW CAN'T READ AT ALL SINCE BEFORE Halloween,..Doesn't Oakland Press care anymore???,BRING BACK THE OAKLAND PRESS!!!!!,MANY TESTIMONIALS...,THEY ARE ALL HAVING TROUBLE TOO, IF YOU CAN'T DO SOMETHING NICE,DON'T DO NOTHING AT ALL,..

What good is a newspaper app if the pages won't load? Seems like someone at the paper paid their son alot of money to write this piece of trash app. Deleting it.

Uninstalled. It at least works now but when bringing up articles the background is gray and the font is a medium gray making it hard to read. I also gave up on the E Paper because of issues. Used to read the Oakland Press all the time. Sad.

I checked back to see if they fixed the problem: Now it updates - Headlines, photos - BUT no articles. Here is the kicker - it has been like this for 4 days! Does noone on staff check these things? So there is an updated app. Lovely. But OP does NOT UPDATE THE NEWS. Time and again these people fail to update the content -ALL OF THE CONTENT - for DAYS at a time. Then I went online to check the news. Now a person must create an account to access that. Do you people think you are the New York Times? You are fortunate ANYONE wants to visit your popup ad infested site at all. You are killing off the only followers you have left. So sad. Good bye, and good luck.

Uninstalling! The pages never load. Sad my favorite newspaper has this garbage app.

Need to update daily content faster same news for 48 hours...it sucks uninstalling

Every time I start the app it goes to a full page AD. Stupid.

Hardly updates with current events bit loads ads quick. Would be better if it gave the digital edition of the daily hard copy paper.

I can't get through reading an article without the app crashing. Didn't have this problem before the update. I NEVER review apps but this one really frustrated me- so I felt the need!

Most disappointing app I have! Rarely works! What is the problem that you can't get this to work properly???

Looks great. I can't read any articles because they won't load, but hey, it looks great. Keep up the terrible work.

Has all the latest local news very informative and you can look up obituaries

If it wasn't for the fact that I live in Oakland County, I'd go with the Free Press. The app is a lot better than the paper though. Which is a shabby ripoff for $1.

The traffic tab shows Oakland, CA not Oakland county, MI and you can't change it.

Just the headline and photo appears but no news! Needs to be fixed asap

I had uninstalled this a few weeks ago. Now you get the story. Not just the head line.

News is stale and often repeated.

Does not update much. Stories are repeated constantly. Needs to be revamped. Very basic.

Helps me stay on top of current events.

This app crashes more than a drunk driver. App does not work well on a Galaxy Note w/ ICS.
