What are users saying about Daily Camera

Needs a tablet (landscape) mode. Still the same Camera, edited and proofread(if only) in Bangalore.

M70%
by M####:

I can't scroll without the screen locking and the ads are more frustrating than they used to be. I don't use the app like I wish I could. The previous version worked better on my Nexus.

M70%
by M####:

Just spent the better part of an hour trying to gain my paid access to the e-edition of this rag and couldn't. My credentials don't work, but they had no problem deducting 10 bucks from my bank account with acuity.

Z70%
by Z####:

The title says it all.

Z70%
by Z####:

Crash after crash after crash. I'm going to delete the app now...

V70%
by V####:

God...this is terrible. It freezes, closes randomly, and does not automatically update as it should. This is a late generation version and still infuriating.

Q70%
by Q####:

Design is much improved, but articles are still strangely placed. Categories like "BC Schools" include mostly articles that have nothing to do with schools. The National Business section's most recent article is 24 days old.

Z70%
by Z####:

Stays open only seconds, and crashes, or if you press an option.

X70%
by X####:

Crashes and shuts down about 10 seconds after you open it

Z70%
by Z####:

Breaking news....... Junk.

At&t Galaxy s3 with, 4.4.2.............This app sucks!.. Always crashes or doesn't even start and has made my phone reset itself a bunch of times while trying to open. Why do these companies put out apps that are crap... Just makes your company look like crap

Q70%
by Q####:

The latest update is painfully slow to load. My phone screen will time out twice before content shows up. I like having local content, but consider loading in a browser window instead.

D70%
by D####:

Works at install, then subsequent invocations brings the black screen of death on my HTC One. Previous versions worked.

Q70%
by Q####:

Its powered by spreed who can't seen to make decent application without our force closing every few seconds

J70%
by J####:

Completely frustrating app.

U70%
by U####:

The recent update drains battery like crazy when allowed to run in the background... and is painfully slow to load. I've been a long time user and I'm very close to uninstalling. (Running Kit Kat on Moto X). Local content is good, but will probably just use the browser now.

Q70%
by Q####:

Uninstalled. Ads were overbearing and categories like "BC Schools" included articles that had nothing to do with schools. I'll read via RSS feeds instead.

Q70%
by Q####:

Breaking news....... Junk.

D70%
by D####:

Love the local paper, but the app just keeps getting worse with each update. It takes forever to load, the layout is messy, and you can't see or post comments (which is where the whole story unfolds!). The old layout was better, hopefully the developers can bring a cleaner, faster design to the table.

D70%
by D####:

The latest version is a step backwards....dont install. Call the paper and complain. I used the previous version a few times a day. Now I dont touch it. :-(

O70%
by O####:

Half the time the app won't open on my Galaxy s5. I just get a black screen. It's decent when it works.

I70%
by I####:

No more video Ads which means do not have to load up my RSS Reader (Feedly & PressApp) for my local news. Cheers!

D70%
by D####:

Doesn't work on nexus 5.I wish I didn't update! The update doesn't fix the problem

F70%
by F####:

Terrible app on Android. Won't sync. Even worse with update. Breaking news is four days old. Better to just not waste your memory and space. Log on through the web.

D70%
by D####:

Most articles won't load. Sometimes restarting the app helps, but often it doesn't.

K70%
by K####:

Doesn't load promptly, if at all (S5). Format is magazine style whereas it is news content, making it tedious to find local news efficiently. I will uninstall and periodically used their website instead.

D70%
by D####:

I can't scroll without the screen locking and the ads are more frustrating than they used to be. I don't use the app like I wish I could. The previous version worked better on my Nexus.

D70%
by D####:

It opens to a blank black screen, waits a minute, and then crashes.

D70%
by D####:

Slow and locks up the phone :-(

D70%
by D####:

Still doesn't work on the Nexus 7 after the latest version. It seems like it wasn't tested with 4.4.4.

D70%
by D####:

Takes 30 seconds for headlines to com up, and longer for a story to load. I just gave up on one after 60 seconds. Not worth anything if I can not read the articles. The old version worked better.

Q70%
by Q####:

Loading... Please wait. Headlines finally appear, but selected story never appears. Uninstalling.

D70%
by D####:

New app is worthless

D70%
by D####:

Breaking news....... Junk.

R70%
by R####:

Any chance we can get the ability to post and read comments the same as the desktop site? I believe that would be an important and much appreciated addition to an already great app.

M70%
by M####:

Ads at the bottom are tolerable. Full screen popups are annoying! Videos with sound while I'm quietly reading the news are intolerable. Guess I'll get my news elsewhere.

C70%
by C####:

Im okay with a few Ads here and there but the Video Ads made me uninstall the App and stick primarily to my RSS reader (Feedly & Press). Like I said I don't mind a few text based Ads but the Video Ads are a joke .. At least offer a $1.50-$2.00 in app purchase to remove the Ads or offer a paid version (no more than $2.00) and I'm sure you would have a lot more happy end users. NOTE- Latest version's "Whats News" is 'Support for Ad Colony'. Ha

W70%
by W####:

Very poor form to pair video ads with articles. Not only is it unsettling to suddenly have sound blaring when I'm expecting to see an article, it's annoying to those around me, too.

C70%
by C####:

This app locks up and closes after a minute or so. Did it 3 times in a row. Samsung Galaxy S2. Uninstalling

C70%
by C####:

The app will no longer open - AT ALL. Nothing.
