The last update makes this pretty much unusable. For some reason clicking on push notifications takes you to a full size version of the newspaper and then the App crashes when you try to switch back to a more mobile friendly view. I want to read the advocate but this app seems to be designed to prevent that from happening.

I was happy with the previous version. The current update wants access to my phone number, whether I'm on the phone, etc. I don't understand why the app needs that info and I'm not comfortable sharing it.

Interesting take on news versus Sports. Power is out in two thirds of Uptown New Orleans, but the only news about the weather, is a storm over Tiger Stadium. App is ok, but news content is abysmal. I had thought that the Advocate would be a step up from the Times-Picayune, but apparently we can't support a real newspaper. At least the app is free so we don't have to pay for what amounts to a sports/entertainment broadsheet.

I'd really like to be able to choose which tabs show up in the app. One sports page is enough for me. "News', 'Featured News', and 'latest news' seem pretty redundant. It's hard to pull out the navigation bar on the left, maybe make the target area for that a little bigger. Other than that I really appreciate the minimalist look that seems to follow Google's design guidelines.
