Does not show front page news.

Newspaper. The former app was much nicer, the new app, it doesn't go where i want as easily and i have to look thru too much to find what u want

This is so much worse than the previous app... Why is the news I'm getting 3 days old?

The Sentinel app used to have an option to focus in on local news. Can't find that in this app. I have many sources for national news. I don't need the Sentinel's duplicative coverage.

No search engine , difficult to navigate, toooo many ads

Last version was better. Jan 20th still shows news from jan 18th but nothing current about today!

Gray text against white background is hard to read for old eyes. Need high contrast option

Crashes all the time and sometimes won't even load, causing my screen to go black for 10-15 seconds.

No where did I read you get to read so many articles before you have to pay. They've raised the price of a actual newspaper to $1 and now charge to read online. I wouldn't have an issue if they actually updated their breaking news or gave us current articles! Deleting this app!

Nice set of features and free... Should make any reader of the Sentinel happy.

Fix it already. I open it, it stays open for about a minute and then it shuts down. Craptacular!

Why aren't there any good news websites in my area? I wanted to add more news than what I was getting from the KSBW app. This definitely isn't the way to do it!! I guess that's why it's called the Santa Cruz SENILE... at least the KSBW app updates every once in a while - and actually works!

I don't know what's wrong.Spreed or maybe my 3g won't give me news.

Good app

I have downloaded this app 4 times to my moto x and every time it says "Can not open this app." I give up. OK, The fifth times the charm. Now it works extremely well. Love it.

This app would be perfect for Santa Cruz residents... If it worked! I can view 1 maybe 2 stories before the system shuts down and won't load anymore articles.

Can not see any news ever. Spins around doing nothing. Last app was terrible. This one is worse.

Like many others have mentioned this app is generally very poor because news is not updated frequently. Often times "breaking news" stories are a day or two old. Hitting the "update button" rarely updates anything. I've had various versions of this app over time and they all have failed to live up to expectations. I would not recommend this app unless you enjoy frustration. ***UPDATE**** March 2014 Well this app worked pretty good for a couple months but now is back to not updating....for 3 days now!

Worthless! They are charging for old news when they have the e-edition for that! I've been using this app for a few years now.. not anymore! Not only am I deleting from my phone.. tablet and taking it off my students reading list for their homework.. which now makes local news even more inaccessible for people who can't afford to pay the ridiculous costs of this ever-more bootsie newspaper but my whole family and all my friends are. Bye bye 60+ users! Lame!

On again off again relationship with the Sentinel app. Rarely has recent news, will go days with no new stories. KSBW is better if you need to know what is actually going on in Santa Cruz.

I used to read this every day on my Droid X2. It was great. Now the articles will not scroll down. If I could give this a negative rating I would. Spreed's insistence on updating technology has ruined this app and left me behind.

Causes my Droid Incredible to hang. Loses its updates to show only old stories. I also suspect this app messes with my system. I've had to factory reboot 3 times. I keep hoping they'll fix it.

I do not like the change,it does not update and I like to keep up with what's happening in my home town. Since its been changed all I see are stories from at least 4 days ago. Please put it back to the way it was before! It was way better and never had any problems!

Out of date articles, waste of time

This app is barely up to date. Often when i go to breaking news all the news stories are 3 days old. The publisher is not keeping stories up to date. Oddly enough the Mercury news app (same publisher, same software app) is usually updated several times a day. Seems that the news agency isn't willing to serve the Santa Cruz community.

After the last update I get a choose edition prompt with no choices, can't get past that screen... So I guess for unusability I give it 5 stars

I haven't been in Santa Cruise for about 7 or 8 years & wondered if the packs of barefoot hippies & runaways were still in downtown? Your citizens & officials allowed a beautiful town to go to ruin due to ultra liberal approaches to the problem, and I'm a liberal myself. I was always amazed that you all allowed this to happen. I for one used to stop by for a meal & some shopping while driving on route 1 but after having to put up with panhandling barefoot unwashed runaways I stopped coming to town!

Good presentation.

When I first got this app I loved it. It's super easy to use and it definitely gives me something worth reading when trying to kill some time. Unfortunately though, this app keeps on crashing since the last update on my Samsung admire, please fix :-(

It constantly quits while I'm in the middle of trying to read an article. Moved to Louisiana and trying to keep up with news back in the ville but p.o.s. App keeps failing me. Puro mierda!!

I find the droid version a good resource as I move around town during the day.
