ever since the update 2 days ago (?) I keep getting notifications that the app has stopped even though I haven't turned it on/used it. this tells me that it's draining my overtaxed battery (happened twice while writing this), UNINSTALLING. byebye.

APP continue to close when opened, uninstalled app and reinstall twice without being able to open app.

Had famous Channel news but they are poorly done & so far happy this one is giving me the information I am looking for. Thank you

Lame app that is a complete waste of battery. Mercury news is full of bs anyway.

Since the update, they changed the app to limit the number of articles you can read without paying. Either make it subscription based and be upfront about it, or stop placing ads throughout the app.

Whatever update happened didn't work, pop up that says choose location but no choices to choose from.

App won't let me read without paying a subscription. Not going to happen. Uninstalling as soon as this review is done. Why ads if you have to pay for stories?

All of the Bay Area Newsgroup apps are force closing when trying to open an article.

If you're the kind of person who cares enough to learn what's happening around you, buy a real newspaper, preferably the San Francisco Chronicle. You may be suprised to know that for an entire 24 hours a week, the Bay Area News Group sends it's staff home, no matter what on earth is happening. And it shows. Not only does this app miss a ton of actual news, it is not searchable, does not deliver any indepth examination of the blog-bites it clumsily delivers. The Mercury News doesn't get it.

The CA news and world news was last updated 3 weeks ago. News not current. Removed app from Phone. Not useful if it has old news

Mostly south bay stuff. Not very well laid out. Only one page of news per heading. Why bother not enough news for a news app. Uninstalled.

A news app for "my" area that's actually updated!

this used to be a great app however now it crashes upon opening in the article. I don't have the latest Android operating system but my phone is only about a year and a half old . don't bother trying to work with this program I've tried uninstalling and reloading many times

A really great app. It's the best way to see the lefty future today and really keep up on the ”leading edge” Ideology and the War on Men!!

-1 star Pretty unless. Few Stories Mostly south bay stuff. Not very well laid out. Only one page of news per heading. Why bother not enough news for a news app. Uninstalled.
